The world's tallest cow dies after a lifetime of Photoshop accusations
Unbelievably big bovine honoured post-humously by Guinness World Records in touching new video
By Lauren O'Neil, CBC NewsPosted: Jun 30, 2015 8:53 PM ET|

"Blosom, seen here with owner Patty Meads-Hanson, lost the title of 'tallest living cow' when she died last month. Guinness awarded her the new, even more impressive record of 'tallest cow ever' post-humously on Thursday. (Guinness World Records)"

A shame she never had her photo taken with the world's smallest cow, that could have been an amusing picture.

Maybe we just have pictures of a very short woman and a very tall man?

And to those who complain when we stray off topic from the forum's purpose of discussing Carrara (because, well, this IS a Carrara forum, as has been recited numerous times)....

    What say you?

Similarly, I am not an absolutist. Going off topic occasionally can build a sense of community. But the ratio of Carrara-related discussion to non-Carrara should favor Carrara-related. Similarly, the ratio of answering an OP’s question to using the OP’s question as a point-of-departure for a rant about the imperfections of Daz should favor answering the OP’s question. Not absolute - but people coming to the Carrara forum should be greeted with a preponderance of Carrara-related threads, and OPs with questions should get a preponderance of answers in reply.

BTW - Speaking of off topic, I suggest everyone check out the Christmas tree lights in Austin near the original Amy’s Ice Cream. Amazing. Keep Austin weird!

    Moooo.

    BTW, OT means off topic.

And check out the Austin xmas tree lights - I mean it.

Cool. So any future discussion of non-Carrara stuff (like software) only needs an "OT" disclaimer and all is well?

Who's Austin and why does he have Christmas tree lights up him? Or is that simply because he's weird? Doesn't he object to lots of people going to look at him?

Yes, in the last 24 hours, I have started a thread for a Blender tutorial, and I have started a thread on a picture of cows - yet there has been no great outcry.

You know what I haven't done? Made any generalizations about Carrara users.

    Food for thought.

    Mooo.

I'd post some pics of the xmas tree lights, but I keep getting distracted by the bats.

I fail to see how any discussion of Cows can ever be considered off topic in any thread or any forum.

    This is the Internet.

    It is ALL about Cows.

    You want off topic?

Here: Atached is a Cow Picture with Fractal obj files for the splashes and rendered in Bryce, but posted in the Cowrarra forum - Pure Evil Off Topicnessness!!

    Your welcome.

And sorry to hear about the passing of a Great Cow.

Of course the OT was there to warn people that the conversation might turn to bats and xmas tree lights. The OT disclaimer had nothing to do with cows.

That is some fine looking grilling, there, EP. Hope checking in with the forum from time to time can help lighten your load.

That's why cows have such big tongues, the better for licking plates clean.

This is "my" take on the Carrara forum.
I post in this forum the questions and/or comments which I wish to share with Carrara users, whether it has something to do with Carrara or not. I've seen how quickly threads can disappear among the pages if there's no interest, so what's the harm?

As for 'this' thread being OT, I don't feel that it is at all. Sockratease has shown the strong connection between Carrara and cows for as many years as I've been visiting! ;)

    I know that cow!

I'll have a look around for the animation I did of it dancing with an animated texture. I think it was my first animated texture test quite a few years ago.

And thanks for the Cows With Guns video, HW! There are a few variations of that song out there, and you found one of the less frequently seen versions.
