Stereoscopic 3D VR-360 Renders (For VR headsets)
I'm planning to create a variety of immersive stereoscopic 3D VR-360 renders and videos, so feel free to check back on this post periodically if that interests you.

(Hopefully, the VR renders have improved over time!)
From my perspective, stereoscopic 3D VR 360 content offers a more encompassing experience compared to VR 180, providing full 3D depth immersion in all directions. However, it's worth noting that creating 3D VR360 renders is more time-consuming. If you find any stereoscopic renders lacking in 3D depth, immersion, or if they appear blurry or doubled as though you're seeing double but are sure you're not intoxicated, then adjusting your VR media player's viewer/playback settings might be necessary.
You can download the VR renders from the provided Dropbox link and transfer them to your VR headset. For this, I use a standard "Quest 2 Link Cable". To view the VR renders, I recommend "Pigasus VR Media Player", an affordable app available on the Oculus/Meta store.
Each VR render file is labeled with the tag "_360_TB", indicating to Pigasus the correct display format for the images on the Meta Quest 2. Specifically, the stereoscopic 3D VR format employed is "360 over/under" (also known as top/bottom). This is important to note if you're using a different VR headset or media player.
All stereoscopic 3D renders I post here should seamlessly work when viewed with Pigasus on a Meta Quest 2. To start off, I've included some VR renders of Victoria 9.

Billboards are not so useful with stereoscopic 3D VR renders
Billboards can effectively conserve GPU resources in standard 2D renders; however, their utility diminishes in stereoscopic 3D VR scenes. Once you view the upcoming render with your VR headset, the limitations of using billboards in this context will become immediately apparent.

World Gardens Japan With Victoria 9 (Stereoscopic 3D VR)
I'm quite impressed by the visual quality of the World Gardens Japan asset in stereoscopic 3D and plan to use this environment in future VR renders. With the recent release of G9, a pose converter would be highly beneficial to broaden the range of poses available for G9, as the current options are somewhat restrictive. The total rendering time using dual RTX 3060s was just over 3 hours.

BB3D Environments: Medieval Study (Stereoscopic 3D VR)
Creating an environment for immersive viewing with a VR headset offers a unique perspective on the 3D asset that can't be matched by 2D renders. Over time, I plan to create VR renders of each environment in my asset library. Although I'm not completely satisfied with the appearance of the walls and windows in these renders, additional iterations would likely have improved them. The total rendering time for the three VR renders using dual RTX 3060 GPUs was just over 3 hours.

Archaic Ruins with Victoria 9 and Michael 8.1 (Stereoscopic 3D VR)
The Archaic Ruins asset is quite effective in stereoscopic 3D, and I plan to use it again in future projects. The total rendering time for all four stereoscopic 3D VR renders with dual RTX 3060 GPUs was a mere 42 minutes. This efficiency was due to rendering convergence reaching 100% after only 1040 iterations.

Komodo I'll definitely check some of these out on my Quest as soon as I get a little free time. Thanks for the tip on what viewer you recommend. I've been wanting to do some renders for VR myself. Do you have any tips to offer for that?
Creating VR renders with Daz Studio is surprisingly straightforward yet inevitably time-intensive. To streamline this process, especially for tasks requiring repetition, I am developing scripts and utilities for full automation.
In time, I plan to compile a guide on manually creating the type of VR renders I've been sharing. Should you try your hand at these, feel free to share your work here. Currently, it seems not many are venturing into this area. While not universally appealing, VR renders can spectacularly highlight Daz assets and renders. My posts thus far have been basic, primarily to illustrate the potential.

Eclipse Sci-fi Environment (Stereoscopic 3D VR)
Stonemason's "Eclipse: Sci-fi Environment" looks great in stereoscopic 3D, though my VR renders do not do it justice. Unfortunately, I did not load the render settings preset that comes with the asset, so the attached image appears very dark. But, it still looks good in VR and I'll revisit the asset soon with proper lighting and some characters to make it more interesting. All up it required about 11 hours to complete two VR renders with dual RTX 3060s.
