The only one I know of is the morph by magnus1781

The textures are in the Texture pack 7. Note - Textures only, they have to be applied manually in the surfaces tab. 5 different sets to chose from.

I have seen this one, but for some reason, the morph doesn't seems to appear in Daz. Thanks anyway. smiley

It is a data only one, no character file to load. With Genesis 8 Female highlighted do a search of the parameters for FlorencePugh. You should see a FlorencePugh_Head morph to dial in.

Rhenderart is currently working on a G9 Florence (I know because I partially commissioned it)

Vicey3D's latest character Lucia = Natalie Portman, likely named for her character in Lucy in the Sky.

Same. I don't see Denzel at all.

Matt_Castle once rendered a convincing lookalike for Yeoh featuring Mrs. Chow 8 mixed in with a few younger character morphs, but the gallery link appears to be down now and the recipe wasn't provided.

Not a good one, really.  Why is she also an Editorial License?  She doesn't come with anything else that I can see that would flag it as such.

Who's V3D Natasha (at the other store, the second-last character released)? She resembles Angelina Jolie, but I'm not 100% sure. Beautiful character anyway. She (or he... dunno...) is definitely upping her game lately.

Selling "editorial license" products at the price of regular products annoys me... I refuse to buy stuff like that... In fact, the only EL products I bought were by mistake and only realized later...

I agree.  For this one I can understand if she came with the Elektra outfit for licensing reasons.  But in all seriousness, an EL based on how she somewhat resembles Jennifer Garner is pretty silly.

  • Rhenderart does a pretty amazing Jennifer Garner. Quite a few other celebs too.

It's a good thing many of those Daz-sponsored EL products (at least, I presume, since they're Daz Originals) have a base regular license asset and an EL add-on (for instance, the Harry Potter uniform). PAs should do the same and split their EL products so only the strictly copyrighted parts are under EL (well... In this ROMFX Jessica, it wouldn't even be necessary since nothing seems to be copyrighted beyond the regular artist copyright). But, as far as I interpreted it, Daz EL is more lax, like, it only pushes the responsibility to the asset owner, like, if the copyright owner decides to sue you, it's your problem. In the "another" store (to distinguish it from the other store) that sells a lot of EL products, things are more strict, like, you can even modify the EL asset and have to use it as it is (as far as I interpret it; I'd love to see other POVs)... I think this put off potential buyers.

I rounded conservatively.  The story was widely reported in early August, Jenni 8 was released late November......so it's actually closer to 4 months.  It could be done.  If you don't agree with the subject matter, thats fine.  But that's no reason to grasp at straws in attempt to disprove something that is so blatantly obvious.

There are people on here whom have dedicated time and effort curating lists of the characters based on actual people - and they honestly don't seem to care about said person's particular line of work.  I'm just trying to contribute for those who are interested.

I mean, I know who most of the characters were based on, and you've got some interesting guesses, but they aren't right. With the right lighting, makeup and camera angles, almost any character in the store can look like anyone you want, which is what the case is with your comparisons. One reason I watch these threads is to see if anyone guesses correctly (most would be impossible unless you happen to live near the artist).

It would be great if you could do it all in one post as a list without pics though. The notifications are getting to be quite a lot.

I think the guy is just trolling... Anyway, do all Daz Core characters are based on someone? I know we always have some inspiration (even if it's just a subconscious thing), but I thought some if not most Daz Core characters were meant to be original creations (in the sense of not resembling any real person). Now I'll be itching to know who is who!

The best way to make a character realistic is to use real-world references, but the last time I spoke to one of the creator's about it, they go to pains to make sure that the character at most resembles the reference and isn't a dead ringer. Most are going to reference several people. But the thing is, with the right lighting, hair and dressing, any character in the store can look like anyone really (just like real people). The point is to put the person you want it to resemble in the mind of the viewer (with a signature hair style or set around them), then the viewer fills in the details with the original reference. There are a lot of characters in this look alikes thread that, without the hair and sets around them or specific poses, they don't look a thing like the person they've been associated with, especially in profile. Or the skin will be dead on but the features really aren't at all (or vice versa).

For Daz O's there are few that, in my opinion, are really, *really* obvious (I mean, we did have an official Reby Sky that she modeled for and everything), but for the most part they're going to be blends of people the artist themself knows personally, broader references and creativity. Most artists tend to make themselves because that's the face they're most familiar with (you may notice several particularly common features among my characters, and those are my features basically-- I actually have a dial I've made for myself to de-CC my characters XD at least the ones that weren't supposed to be me). So, generally, that's where most characters will have started.

I think "any" was a rhetorical exaggeration, right? But I agree you can create real-world look-a-likes using many different Daz characters, doing a little research finding a good skin and brows, and knowing how to apply the right morphs. Then, it's just characterization with the right hair and clothes.

About the Daz Core Os, I feel a little relieved. I thought one day I'd see Victoria 7, Teen Josie 8, or even The Girl walking in the streets laugh
