Thanks, Teobaldo. Your abstracts are very interesting. The second one looks like amoeba under a microscope to me.

    Horo, fantastic textures, great render.

The objects and their materials are from Fifty Funky Shapes and Fifty Funky Metals and stand on a self made shadow capture. Background and ambient light by the Gossiping HDRI from the HDRI Pack1 (a smaller version of the HDRI comes with Bryce 7) and some light and specular by the sun.

What a great setting for these twisted shapes.  They look like they belong there.  Great render Horo.

I know I’m lazy to make a scene from scratch, here’s one using a source file from the Hdri Captured Volumetric Skies, the dolphins my favorite subject are freebies.

The cave is TheHole6 by MatCreator, the face at the wall is a terrain made from a face-scan, both with the slightly modified Bryce Pro Material Tau Variant (David Brinnen). Light, Specular and colour by an HDRI from Hyper Textures Base.

mermaid, you mean that mermaids are not your favorites?  Love dolphins too and they look perfect in your beautiful scene.

Horo, it looks like the red sea has parted.  What a great vision and render.  Love the face at the end.

Thanks NGartplay, Mermaids are my favorite, unfortunately I don’t have any good mermaid models to use in renders, the 2D ones I have don’t work so well. My avatar was gifted to me by Sean Riesch, the scene not the model.

    Thanks Adbc

I love all these great and interesting images which were added in this thread, since I joined the last time. smiley

I've been fascinated by soft shadows lately. This kind of shadows when the sky is overcast. I tried to achieve this with an interior scene. The model is from Daz3D and if I'm not mistaken, it's called Arch_Details2. I had to tweak a lot of materials because they weren't imported properly. I think this is mainly due to the normal map they all have and Bryce can't handle. The most difficult were the curtains, they should look transparent and soft.

Light chiefly comes from to Fill lights and six square spotlights to simulate the light from outside. Render time went up through the roof, even on my new computer. At least 30 hours. Most time were used for anti-aliasing.

The smaller image shows how the scene looked in the beginning. I had just added a few light sources.

Electro-Elvis - you got an absolutely remarkable realistic result with this indoor scene.

About 200 Bryce trees and three terrains. Sky and ambient light by the an HDRI from Gritstone Hills and the key light by the sun. Actually, I had participated with this scene, but differently lit, at the 22nd Bryce Challenge Light and Colour in August 2016.

mermaid, such gorgeous clouds.  I think that the floating city is the perfect subject matter here.
