Oh, I like that patio set, SapphireBlue. I don't have anything from that PA, but I've had their Stilt Houses wishlisted for a while. Not sure what I would do with stilit houses, put the patio set looks more versatile.
A bunch of the Ultrascenery stuff was on sale in the end of the year bestsellers, and combined with my punchcard I think that's is as cheap as I've ever seen them so I picked up a bunch, including UltraSceneryXT. (Not that you can tell, but it's the blurry mountain in the distance.) Looking foward to playing with it in the few days I have off til New Years.
I'm also trying out this free denoiser, which works better than the last one I tried. https://taosoft.dk/software/freeware/dnden/ I kinda like the grain in this one, but comparision attached.
Hylas Your capture of Nyarai is gorgeous!! And that's quite the render of Walker too. Can I ask what you used for the body hair in his render? Looks really natural.
sid Thanks for the denoiser info. And for reminding me about the magus effects product. It seems I have it... just totally forgot I did. It would have been useful in some recent renders... Well, I'll now remember for the future! Haha. Nina without makeup looks great!
Hylas Thank you! I thought it may be that one, but wasn't sure. I just recently used it in a project and like it a lot, but of course, it looks even better and more natural in your render of Walker.
I have finally had some time to create some artwork for this thread. I have bought soooooooooooooo much in the last 3 months that I reeeeeeeally need to start making artworks to justify all the buying.

A render made exclusively with products bought in November (Gwennili and Daz Dragon 3) and December (Contemplation Pool) Everything else is a freebie (named in the gallery).
As said in the gallery, I'm regurlaly redoing thumbnails (hence the 1:1 ratio), something I like to do with freebies: they are nicer with better looking thumbnails, which can also give more information about a product. And it's an opportunity to test each freebie, to see if they are working correctly or if mistakes need to be fixed. Then I decide if I'll keep them or not.

What's you're method for getthing the Thumbnail into SmartContent? I used to be able to do it, and suddenly it seems like the method I used to use no longer works!
Most of this stuff still purchased with the punchcard discount
Here's hot and sweaty Arno, walking out of the desert after long day. I'm having fun with the new bits I bought for Ultrascenery two days ago, especially the Desert set. The Infantry pants I had from a previous bundle, but I believe Dartanbeck might have recommended both PFT Grungy Threads and the wet FX on other discussions, so I picked them up.
Renaissance clothing was an Advent calender freebie that's been on my wishlist forever because I thought the collar might be fun. So far it resists most of my attempts to modify it. The Wintertide dress from the recent Snow Queen bundle I've used here as a shirt. Arno comes with stubble and a mustache (and also a cool eyebrow with a chunk missing, not shown here). The setting is DM's Retreat, which I picked up in a Lighting Deal to keep my punch card limping along, but it's aged really well.
My fail buy was a hair converter. I was hoping it would fix all my impossible to auto-fit Gen8 to Gen9 hairs, but turns out it's probably better suited to making smart content links for hairs that already auto refit. So the Mermaid hair in the first pic is manually placed and stimulated and I borrowed a hair cap from another product.
Thank you for the link to the Taven set acb- I don't think I have anything by that PA, but your render mights the textures look really high quality so I'll have to try them out.
And not to worry about the thumbs Elor, I figured it out once I can do it agin surely :D

Fully recommended by me. He's one of my go-to PAs for coherent environments with high quality, usability, and variety. And a great source of useful every-day props.
After not shopping all that much in December, I did manage to pick up a lot of things today in the stacking wishlist sale at some crazy prices... So I thought it best to calm my post-impulsive-shopping-shock with a relaxing DAZ doodle. I threw an Olympia 9 / Van Helsing morph in with Linday's latest hair that I all got today and a CB outfit I picked up yesterday, and a StoneMason set I picked up a little while back.
After the Vick discussion I knew I would need to do a render of Victoria encountering her Rule 63 self, so here it is.
The set here is a special trick room I built for a story a couple of years ago and kept around simply because it was such a pain that I never wanted to have to set it up again. The circular area in the wall can either be a mirror or an open space with the flip of a switch, and the room is actually two rooms, one a mirror image of the other (or as close as I can make it--some furnishings insist on being shapes that don't cooperate with this idea).
This image, by the way, is the first time I have used bitwelder's G3/G8 -> G9 pose converter (it's been sitting around waiting for me to work up the courage to try it for months), and it works like a charm. https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-and-8-to-9-pose-converter
As noted in the Vick/Victoria comments elsewhere, Vick and Victoria are very different heights, and this is solely because of their Proportion Height slider defaults. Here they have both been set to a Proportion Height of zero, making them exactly the same height (and making she!Vic a bit taller than her default and making he!Vic a bit shorter.)
Also, he!Vic has had his Genital Bulge turned up a fair bit because otherwise you can't actually tell he's got anything down there. This meant that his underwear had to have a smoothing modifier added to it. Apart from that, neither figure has any alterations the other doesn't have--their facial pose sliders are set exactly the same, etc.

... and another "sexy lady + beast" one. One thing DAZ is really good at is making me spend money - tiny amounts, but still - on very old stuff I bough Dragon Port, thinking the poses might inspire me to do something with the Millenium SubDragon which I had never used in all those years. And boy, it's a janky old figure, isn't it? Posing it felt like being in a wrestling match. Anyway, I think the result is nice if you can ignore the super low-res texture. Attaching the IRAY material preset, if someone is interested.
The Befana is a kind old woman who brings gifts to good children on the night before Epiphany, (Jan 6,) flying with the broom and coming down the chimney. Its a Italian tradition.
Hylas Those renders are lovely! Thanks for the iray preset. I think I tried the subdragon (lite?) when I first tried out DAZ (before I ever started shopping in the store). I now feel like trying it out again.
columbine Your trick room set-up is such a great idea!

Me too, I need to get back to this thread. I still have ... an unspeakable number of new things to test.
Thanks... I guess we know what WE will be doing in the New Year! LOL

Firstly I made the bed scene with Laila. Although I really like it, it just isn't funny enough.
Then I morphed Laila into Norba and transfered her to the troll cave. That wasn't connected enough.
So I created a connecting backstory, which turned out somewhat silly (as usual).
The Gamble
Ever since he was cursed by the witch, drinking at the tavern became a gamble ...

I think I most want to know where the table is from. I like that wood grain! (Both his ladies look lovely)
Sorry, I don't use SmartContent, just the dumb directory based version.
The table is part of Fugaz968i's FG Medieval Tavern. As is the mug and the lantern.
Oh, pretty boy

Lady and the Lion was a set I got for free last month. This is also the first time I'm using Big Cat 2 and dForce Hair for Big Cat 2, both of which I got for very cheap at one point last year.
