Fantasy art is actually my favorite type of art to do.  That one is more in line with what I like to do personally.  But I've been emoying the challenge of doing art that is outside of my coimfort zone lol.  How are the categories coming along?

Juat a quick test render of the Edo Japanese Village.  This has a lot of really nice detail in the structures etc.  Pretty nice scene! This is still slightly grainy, I only let it render for about 3 minutes its at about 50%

Yes it's a very nice set. Renders fast. Only thing that needs a bit of tweaking, apparently in both render engines, is the water.

ETA: Well the ground is a bit flat too, actually.

I agree, the water could use a bit of work.  When I get a chance I am going to see if applying an iray water shader will help.  Overall though, I really like it a lot.

Here i was in another thread saying I don't comment much because all I can ever think to say most of the time is what I'm about to say right now, but It still has to be said ...This is freaking awesome :D (love the purple and green together too)

I love the pastels combined with the sense of movement. For some reason, they go very well together.

I keep looking at this,  and tbh I think it is the best image that you have posted so far.

Of course the fact that you have used the purple and green reallly helps, as that is my alltime fave colour combo, and you will find it on some of my old textures labelled as "Signature" because it was my signature colour.

    Thank you Mori_Mann!

Wow thank you @Chohole! I love your textures and they are still some of my favorite freebies to date.

Stunning work!  It's good to see the way you have progressed.  The atmosphere in much of your work really makes the difference and I perhaps ought to think more about that in my artwork.  I have a horrible obsession with detail and I often forget the big picture.

The Alydia render is stunning.  Looks like a fantasy poster.

Re the Japanese village - I saw a thread re fixing the water.

@themidget I spent the first year just learning and rendering in Studio, before I started doing any kind of backgrounds or special effects in photoshop

@worlds_edge thanks for the heads up on the thread and thank you for the complement as well.

Very impressive and very inspiring.  How do I get me some deadlines?  Just kidding.  These recent Suzie and Alydia images are stellar.  Keep up the good work.

Wow, this one is really nice.  What is that background - you did it so well.  I also like the gears she is sitting on.  Great composition, colors, light blending, etc.

You need to put this up in your gallery so I can give it a like there.
