A lot of fun renders in your thread  :)

  • Thank you Ivy! :)

  • Here's a fun one:

  • Oh, now that is nice!! I love the dragonfly on the bubblegum!  I really like the elf in the water, too.  You always seem to be able to make those colors pop.  I love your sense of humor.

Ashyln by Lyoness chillin' with Samedi at the beach this Sunday. She looks a little uncomfortable for some reason...

No offence to your avatar, but I'd also look uncomfortable if I had a puppet humping my leg... wink

LOL, you made me laugh out loud!

Wonderful renders, love your camera angles and your lighting. The poses (other than the uncomfortable gal) are always fluid and relaxed.

    These are wonderful renders.

  • Thank you Knittingmommy, Novica and Teofa!

I'm glad they look good and my sense of humor works for ya, lol.

  • If I could be a kid again....

Rug and disc modeled in Blender.

Rendered using Reality for DAZ Studio.

Was up till 4am working on this. Samedi and Jenara resting in the ruins. Rendered in Iray using the Elianeck Lights Package.

My new pose/expression set is out in the store! I am very happy with how it turned out! Rendered in Reality (I forgot which render engine I used for this image until I noticed no Iray shaders in this scene, then saw it was indeed a Reality render. Whoops!).

I haven't played much with that in Iray but I'll tell you what I know.

The image lights the scene as if it were inside a glowing ball.
You may already know, the high dynamic range imagery lights are best because they capture more dynamic range (the range from light to dark) than a standard camera shot would.

If you download some free sets from sIBL they don't come as presets for DAZ Studio. It's still easy to use, just go to whatever directory your IBL's are and choose the largest file of the bunch you want to use.
The small jpg is used for previewing in the program to align to your scene (which using Reality, comes with a sphere you can plop the jpg onto.) I am not sure how to use the preview jpg in Iray but someone else will for sure.

Here's a screenshot of which file to choose, usually .exr or .hdr, as well as where to put this image in iray, and where to put it into Reality if using that. In Iray you can rotate the dome on y to change how it hits the scene. with the Reality sphere instead of Iray you can rotate that like any object in the scene or use the Y rotation option in the Reality popup

Most helpful!  and great renders I look forward to seeing more

  • Happy to be of service, thank you!

I really like the default lighting that comes with the pool. Splash modeled in Blender.

Freebie couch with Iray shaders I am working on plus the pose for Genesis 3 Female.

Don't know why Vicky looks like a corpse but I thought, what the heck, it still works.

    Edit: Freebie's up http://takoyakida.webs.com/apps/blog/entries/show/43772617-freebie-time-retro-couch-and-g3f-pose :)

    Cheers.

Chiyo with a bit of Jenara in the body and a freebie face available in the Daz forum made by user HerYun.

The dress is the Maid of Honor for Genesis 2 Female(s) and the collar is from the free Dark Storm Genesis 3 outfit that come with Daz studio (I altered the leather to match the dress.)

The background is an Image Based Light from Dimension Theory Skies of Terra Volume One

Rendered in Iray with a couple planes turned into emitters (lights) to add some highlighting to the subject.
