....still waiting on delivery of the new display UPS tracking says it arrived at the local hub so should have it by early afternoon tomorrow.

Yesterday I knew that there were several packages with parts for my new computer arriving by UPS and I know about what time the truck comes through town.  So, I decided to wash dishes at that time and watch through the window anticipating him like Santa Claus.  Then up the street, what did my wondering eyes behold.  A brown van with many powerful horses under the hood stopped along the street, and a man in brown delivering his gifts to the good boys & girls in that block.  I watched and waited for the van to begin to move again and finally after what seemed forever it started.  Out of sight it glided.  Behind the shed obstructing my view.  It's coming, it's coming I thought as I dried my hands and watched for the magic van to come into view again and glide to a stop in front of my driveway.  I made my way out onto the porch to watch the landing.  On it came, the driver, I'm sure, urging his eager horses to remain calm as he called their names. <too many to list> Then there it was, it was slowing, on it came, and passed right by the driveway, right by the mailboxes and out of sight.  Shocked, I moved to the edge of the porch and leaned out to see where he had gone but couldn't see around the corner of the house.  Dismay setting in, I steeled myself to brave the mud in the driveway and go into the slime to get a better view.  But before I'd decended the steps,  the man in brown came around the corner with an armful of packages.  Oh "frabjous day, callooh, callay", I chortled in my joy.  Then, twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gymbol in the wabe, all mimsy were the borogroves and the mome raths outgrabe.  Wheee...smiley

The gist of my story I hope you've got,

    but a poet I'm not.indecision

    ...sounded pretty good to me.

Where I live it's pretty uninspiring as I have no view of where he usually parks (other side of building 5 floors down) so I just have to keep checking the tracking progress.

Still at the local processing facility, not sure why it hasn't been put out for delivery yet as according the UPS site to it arrived there yesterday at about 4:20...hmm...maybe that has something to do with the delay.

    Youtube commenters angry

I have the filter set to hide potentially abusive comments so some dingdong got all precious  about me deleting their comment when the algorithm just hid it because they used cuss words.

I hadn't deleted it, I saw it in my notifications, some of my actual friends don't even have their comments appear because Youtube decides it is spam, I actually made a whole video about this once.

Anyway this jerk then informed me he disliked my video because of it, so now I disabled comments and blocked him devil

my fridge died yesterday after the 42°C heat, of course today is a public holiday too so buying fast food it will be like the zombie apocalypse because the supermarket is shut. angry

So far I have today eaten a mango and some 3 minute noodles, almost cried throwing my ruined defrosted food out from the freezer part, if only I had at least discovered it before it got warm.

Bummer on the freezer failure.  In Florida when the lights go out during a hurricane and there is no expectation of them being back on for several days, it's time for an ice cream party.yes  Then the next day it's a steak party! (or chicken or ham or whatever) Assuming one has a gas stove or a barbeque grill and a garage that can be opened without getting flooded with rain & wind.frown  Allthough if your freezer is full and there's a good seal on the door and you don't open it to check on the contents, the stuff will stay frozen for at least a day.  You can also pile blankets over the freezer to help insulate it against the external heat and keep the internal cold in.  And for a few days, thawed stuff need not be thrown out just because it thawed.  Yeah, more than 48 hours gets iffy and some foods (fish & organ meats) are risky but remember 100+ years ago meat was displayed in the store without refrigeration and only kept cool with an ice box for several days.indecision  People survived 3+ day old meat (not all of them, but most of them)devil

    ..ugh, sorry to hear this.

Been through it before, the last time just a day after I made my weekly grocery trip. Fortunately after I notified my landlady she came to the rescue with a couple ice chests filled with ice for the most perishable items and immediately ordered a new unit that was delivered and installed less than two days.

I have come to the conclusion that the hardest part, about trying to see if the inside of the tiger has stripes too, is waiting for the tiger to yawn.

It helps if you tell them a bedtime story, like "Goldilunch and the three tigers" or "Little Red Riding Snack"

Why does it have to be a yawn? Just stand in front of it with your camera at the ready and snap when it snaps.

I just realised blush I was thinking you were a faerie woman but studying your username closer it is feral devil  that's quite wild and untamed yes

LOL and it's pronounced feral, just reworked the spelling for both the Faeryl and Womyn. Womyn I actually got from a calendar called Wiccan Womyn about 10 years back that I liked.
