Not always though. I'vd been working through my libraries, downsizing where I can for lack of space, and while the textures are at fault around 70% of the time, the rest are the models themselves, and this is much more grievous than large textures. Because apart from Decimator which is hit or miss, and deleting unneeded morphs, I don't know anything to make the actual meshes take up less file space. In any case, props to all poly- and pixel - saving artists!
I bought what I thought was a new thing today but now cannot find it or the bundle it is in on the new page
https://www.daz3d.com/betty-fashion-tote-bags
I am happy as like bags and other accessories but also puzzled
I am a base member and the price was decent too
It is in debut new, I'm seeing it. Maybe a glitch? The bags sure look good, but Betty never make any morphs to openn, clutch etc., unfortunately.
There's a really really great-looking tattoo set out today: https://www.daz3d.com/irezumi-collective-full-body-tattoos-for-genesis-9. Also, for those interested in vintage hairs, Rita Hollywood Curls are finally in the normal store, I was offered them a loooong while ago in a strange and not very profitable (for me) email deal, then they disappeared. Nice to finally be able to buy them at a good price. Here: https://www.daz3d.com/rita-hollywood-curls-for-genesis-9-and-8-female.
I am now seeing the rest of that bundle and the bundle ( was not last time I looked to link it)
but because I bought the bags, I don't see them I guess in the promo page
cache weirdness I guess on the store page as see none of it there
Looking at the new 'Study Homeroom' it seemed familiar, sure enough it is a slightly modified version of the 'Home School Room' by the same PA. If you're going to do this at least offer a low priced upgrade from the original product.
The SE Car Fantom is really cool! I dig the retro-future look of it. It has a lot of nice details and features too.
I know I'm slightly belated on this one, but I'm loving on the https://www.daz3d.com/the-heros-armoury -- and may I just give endless kudos to Censored for including scabbards!!
The Barbarian sword is just the level of functional + elegant I was after for one of my main characters, who is currently stuck with a kitbashed thing I had to redo the material zones on and was never entirely happy with how it or the shaders came out... plus a scabbard that didn't quite fit. No more! She's gonna kick some bad guy bootie in style now! And have somewhere to put her sword when she's done!
Mythical Mitt (https://www.daz3d.com/mythical-mitt) arrived just when I needed to illustrate the vocabulary word “to create”! The sun is from Expanded Godrays Iray (https://www.daz3d.com/expanded-godrays-iray).
Belated or not, the praise is appreciated. We were lucky in our collabroation with Daz that we were able to find the time to include scabbards with this set, which is something we don't always have the resources for. It's always nice to hear that we have been able to fill in the missing pieces for people.
Thanks again!
Sorry to be late; doing some forum catch-up.
According to their website, they're not all the same person; they're a four-person team. I think I read somewhere that Bituka3D is the woman in the group, but I'm not sure about that. Anyway:

In terms of their history here, Tesla was the first to market, by some distance, I believe. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell now; they withdrew a bunch of their older items to put those into other marketplaces, so their storefronts here aren't necessarily representative of what they've done here.
Interesting that they also specialise in human anatomy, I have only ever seen environments from that team offered here.
Check their TurboSquid shop.
Really like https://www.daz3d.com/1960s-college-for-daz-studio Looks very impressive to me.
I like this small space https://www.daz3d.com/book-nook
It would be perfect if there was some cover in front, give me a pot of coffee and I can stay in it all day.
Not just that, I can really see some versatility in the groundplane. It seems fairly easy to repurpose it to an industrial site or some big office building in the more rural city outskirts. Just replace the schoolbuilding with an office or industrial building, place some reserved parkinglots for managers and visitors in the front, remove the rest of the buildings and replace them with a large parkinglot for employees and maybe some additional industrial or storage spaces/buildings. It's basically how most industrial and office sites around here look, but which I rarely see in the store here. Especially the huge parkinglots are generally blatantly missing, most products for such buildings have only about five, maybe twenty, often even none at all, when you'd expect hundreds to work there. I'd probably add an open bicycle-shed as well, though I'm aware that even though those are standard in my country, they're uncommon at best in most other countries.
@Drip I just like the look and feel of a more average ("second - rate"), rural campus scene. Nice idea of yours', though. Here are the props of the product, maybe it helps you (click to enlarge):
So the buildins consist of many instances.
This render took me 20 minutes without(!) a GC (click to enlarge):
That is very fast for FHD, but of course it is a very bright lighting.
That 1960's college reminds me of both the community college and the state colleges I attended back on the east coast. And if you add graffiti and "roughen up" the landscaping it can easily become "low income" housing, It can be so many things, an office park or govt facilty, even a low security prison f you add some razor wire fencing. One of the few "must haves" I have seen recently. That and the SE Car Fantom are my 2 favorite things from this sale. Both things I would have never though would be must haves for me, but they hit all the right buttons for me.
It looks nice, but apparently, it doesn't seem possible to wear the top once the jacket is buttoned
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hnc24-womens-suit-outfits-for-genesis-9
And from the video on the product page, it seemed that the vendor always from time to time made some wrong setup with the dForce simulation ...
Okay, so Asian Structures 1 by Enterables is in my cart now.
https://www.daz3d.com/asian-structures-1
My question: which part of Asia do you think these environments reflect?
They remind me of some things I’ve seen in Japan
They are wonderfully generic... I think either Japan or China would be the obvious choices but you plausibly could use them for and older Far East country....
Thank you for the new Filatoon male hair!
When I see these structures that are not very specific to our immediate world, I consider them as possible science fiction sets where Earth's descendents have colonized and reinterpreted their historical buildings. Not every science fiction world will be shiny metal buildings.
This new Morph Master (https://www.daz3d.com/morph-master) looks reaaaally cool! I'm just wondering whether many of the effects shown actually rely on Mesh Grabber 4, as only implemented in the Premier version of DS. Am not completely finished watching the video yet. What do others think? It looks dead useful for sure.
In the first video, matew is using Mesh Grabber 3, which is still sold.
Cool! I couldn't quite make out which version because everything's so small on the iPad I'm on right now. So thanks, that's great news! I've got MG 3.
Mesh Grabber isn't listed as a requirment - so does this need mesh grabber to work? I thought from the description it was a standalone plugin.
From what I saw in the first video (I have yet to watch the second one), Mesh Grabber is not mandatory.
In the first video, it's used to rapidely morph the shoulders of the character, to show how Morph Master can be used to adjust clothes to a new morph. It's around the 2 minutes mark in the first video.
It was likely done both because it was convenient, filming that step of the video in one go (Create the morph and save it with Mesh Grabber > Using Moprh Master to make the clothes react to the morph), and because it also explained to people with Mesh Grabber that they need to save the morph to use this function of Morph Master (which isn't necessary if the morph was created in a third party program, because to get the morph in Daz Studio in this case, you have to save it in the first place).
I'm very much appreciating Astaroth over here.
