Does anyone know when the Premium features will be available in the regular version of DS? I've installed the current version and don't see any of the new options available (unless they only show if your a Premier member) I'm definitely not going to pay for something I can't get (I literally can't install the Beta, and Tech Support won't respond to help).

You won't see, or have available to install, the Premier plug-ins. There are a number of othjer features in the new version (compared to the last geenral release) thata re not Premier, some of which will need content updates thata re not yet availabnle (e.g. the Genesis 9 to Genesis 8 AutoFit).

Honestly, the only Peimer feature I'm really interested in is the sculpting tools (Mesh Grabber 4). Unfortunately though, that alone is not worth 200+ a year. While some of the perks seem nice, most of the previous "pay now for something you will love later" promotions ended up with items that I was glad I didn't pay to get.

Unfortunately, I also don't see the new monthly DAZ+ being very cost effective for me right now. I usually only use the $6 DO coupon, since I seldom make purchases that quality for the other coupon. I could always justify the cost of membership (usually at around 50% off) with the $6 coupon and the weekly/monthly freebies (most are items I seldom or never use, but the few I do use made it all very worth while). Like others, the new monthly price structure will make it more difficult to justify the additional cost. Everything in the real world is more expensive, and my income has not increased at even nearly the same rate. It's kind of sad since I've benn a PC/DAZ+ member since 2007. But I have until the first week af Jan. to decide what I will do. I have a lot of stuff to render with, so maybe I'll use my remaining store credit over the next couple of months, and plan on buying even less than I have been in the future.

I must admit I am quite miffed that we are expected to pay a lot more for DAZ+, and store prices keep going up, but we still only get $6.00 coupons. Somehow that doesn't seem quite right to me.

Thanks Richard!!! You are greatly appreciated!

Are there any tutorials that are relatively up-to-date for the Blender Bridge? I just tried it with a G9 and it does a surprisingly good job, but I cannot figure out how to rotate the forearm in the viewport. It works with the parameter dials, but even using R->Y and rotating doesn't rotate it properly. Also, I'd be curious to know if figures use more memory in Blender than if you converted the figure to a prop in Studio and then exported it.

I also believe it's been stated that the Blender bridge is not affected by Premier membership.

TBH, this new version seems much better than before though I'm mainly a Diffeomorphic user... Well, I've seen no full tutorial with DTB so far...

For forearm rotation, just switch to Pose mode, select l_forearm bone, hit R > Y, then move your mouse cursor.

And you're right, DTB has nothing to do with Premier tier ~

Thank you for that Crosswind. That's what I was doing, but I noticed something interesting when I tried again. When the figure is in its A-pose, using R>Y and moving the cursor does rotate the forearm as desired. However, if I pose the arm as if it were reaching for a hand shake (upper arm bent, lower arm straight), using R>Y on the forearm doesn't work at all. That's apparently what I was experiencing earlier. Do you happen to have any idea what could be causing that?  Sorry to disruput the thread a little, I'll just say that DAZ-to-Blender does seem improved and works fine with version 4.2.

Hmm ~~ I couldn't reproduce the issue as you said... if you mean the case as I showed in the screenshot below...  like that pose ? Then I could rotate forearm with R > Y with no problem.

Not quite, the upper arm still hangs straight down, but the forearm is bent 90 degrees, I guess more like how an old west cowboy would quickly draw a gun. Sorry for the vague description, when I get back to my PC, I will take a screenshot. Thanks.

So I don't continue to derail this thread, I did try the Premier Geometry Editor tool briefly yesterday. It's not bad, and decent if you want to make comically large morphs (like long ears or big noses), but it doesn't seem useful for many of things we've asked for in the past, like micropressure 'skindentations' for clothing. It seems OK for making impacts, like punches or objects colliding with skin. I'd say it's worth using if you don't want to use Blender or if you don't have Zbrush.

Okay, pls take your time. And I think you mean Geometry Sculptor tool ? I paid one month's Premier only for trying that tool. Well, though it's better than Mesh Grabber 3.0, but it's still limited... only with Draw / Smooth brush, still no Mask, Undo still doesn't work on the items with same Node Names... and Symmetry function has a big bug devil yada yada ~~

I just upgraded to Premier from DAZ+. My DAZ+ had just renewed for 3 months, and they gave me a month of Premier (I think).  One question I have, that I didn't think about earlier, is whether scripts will continue to work in DS 4.23. I have a G8 to G9 pose converter by Rte 66 that I have found very useful. Will that continue to work in DS 4.23? Two other useful tools I have are Fit Control G8 and Fit Control G9, as well as De-triangulator- will these work?

The way I see it, I'll give 4.23 a try along with Premier. I'm curious to see how the new features work, and what some of the exclusive bundles look like. If I don't like it or if I feel it's not worth it, I'll cancel and go back to my basic DAZ along with DAZ+ (or "Plus").

You're right, I was in a hurry and said Geometry Editor. Yeah, I had that symmetry glitch too but I thought it might just have been my trying to undo too much or something.

Anyway, here's the pose where I cannot rotate the forearm in the viewport no matter what I try.

Okay, got it ~ You can go to Bone Constraints panel, either Disable Limit Rotation, or uncheck Affect Transforms, it'll work. Or in Item panel, directly drag to change value in Rotation > Y, that'll also do.

Do you know why that is necessary? I don't really want to disable limit rotatations, but I can rotate my forearm a bit in that position. Is it something to do with how the Y axis is calculated at that angle? I'll probably stick to posing in Studio anyway since I'm so used to it, but I just found that strange. Thank you for the information.

I also have an offer like this, for a cheaper price (~$11) and if they were a button, I might be tempted to try. But there is not, so I'll see if the price is linked to the remaining duration of my membership (mine expire in 2 days so I'll let it expire and see if it means I can now subscribe to whatever plan I chose, currently, I only have an autorenew button).

The Genesis 8 AutoFit update should now be live, and the free content. The following DIM filter code should show the items if you have a lot in the ready To Download tab:

Thank you, Richard Haseltine! BTW, if anybody owns some items already, you can see that (ETA: in DIM) by clicking on the little "hamburger icon" at the right side, where the menu will have the option "show order". If it is greyed out, you don't own it and it will be removed again when your premier membership expires.

It's not related to the Premier membership, so you won't lose them if when it expires, but to the new interactive lessons added with Daz Studio 4.23.

So a 70% increase in the yearly price of Daz+ membership with no corresponding change to the coupon values? Gee, thanks.

Actually, it is an increase to:

    - Plugins more tightly integrated, and some available only through Premier

    - Better coupon each month

    - A free Character Bundle Each month

    - Free Premier Exclusive content (other users can't even buy it) for free each time we release a Character Bundle (Even if you don't buy the bundle!)

    - Tokens at a much faster rate (and they last longer now)

Premier, you mean? Daz+ looks the same to me, but now costs 40% more.

Daz+ membership now costs 72% more than it did.

It's cheaper now that a new day started, so who knows, maybe there is indeed a relation between the price they are offering and the remaining time on a subscription. But still no button (I didn't expect that to change at midnight Daz time to be fair, I hope everyone working on the website is having a good night sleep: no good code come from a mind deprived of sleep) so if nothing change today on that front, I'll be able to document what's happening tomorrow.

Well this is interesting. You get better offers the less time you have remaining on Daz+? O hope that's not your upgrade price for the day or so you have left on your sub and then it charges you the full amount on your old renewal day surprise

I, sadly, don't have anything it that location - just an instruction to upgrade today. Guess I'll wait 15 months until I'm in the last month of my membership. Or 2 months if it's linked to the personalised trade-in offer (mine is 3 months).

Here's a question: Say I am a Daz+ member (which I am) and I get no offer to uprgrade, yet I have time left on my Daz+ sub. Can I sub to Premier just to see what it's like and NOT lose my Daz+ if I don't have an offer or don't take the offer if I did have one? Because if I can keep my Daz+ sub, I'll drop the 20 bucks or so for a month just to see if it's something I'd like. If not, that's a deal breaker for me, personally.

I am afraid that, as far as I understand it, that is not possible.

Thanks. Makes my life easy then.

It's cheaper today than it was yesterday, and yesterday, I had a cheaper offer than @Sorel but I don't know how many days Sorel's membership still have so I can't be sure there is a link between the remaining days and the price I'm seeing or if it's just a random number each day.

I'm not in a betting mood usually, but considering I can't take advantage of the current offer (no button to do so), I have no other choice but to see it as a fun experiment laugh I could open a support ticket, but they are likely under the water right now and renewing is something I should be able to do on my own.

At worse, I won't renew and that's it (well, the really worse case would be for Daz to auto-renew my membership despite the fact that I cancelled auto-renew a year ago, on Daz and on Paypal).

It's just the settings issue, which is flexible to your preferences. If you want to keep the default limits which derive from the G9's rotation limits in Daz Studio,  you also can : in Bone Constraints panel, change Order to YZX (I cross-checked with Diffeomorphic in which this is set as default ...).  Rotation will work as expected and it won't affect limits.

And remember to export corrective morphs from DS.

I don't know what's going on with it ..  I don't even get an offer number - it just says "Upgrade today renews at $18.98" .. no "for $14.66" like somebody up above got and the message to "Contact Support To Upgrade" has gone .. For the record - I'm still good for Daz+ until June '25

The top part has always been correct for me: Daz+ and my 2026 expiry date.
It's the three boxes down the bottom that are confusing:
I've got a button in the Daz Base box that lets me cancel membership - But I'm not Daz Base, so why give me that button?
The Daz+ box says "Current Membership" - Plain text no button
The Daz Premier box used to say "Call Support to upgrade", it now says nothing and there's no upgrade option.

On top of all that, where has the option to cancel the auto-renew gone?

I'm not a Premier member and I got all these products too, at least the ones I didn't already own.

Richard Haseltine also said somewhere that it was linked to the new interactive lessons and @Daz_Steve also said that Premier members will keep any product non Premier members can buy too.

    So… enjoy the hair smiley
