If you want to add the new bundles to your wishlist, you can use this list of G9 core figures:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/642596/list-of-g9-core-figures
There is usually a list of the bundles related to each figure in their description.
There is a good new related to the disappearance of the Starter and Pro Bundles: all the shapes that were only available for a limited time are now back (most of the purchaseable as stand alone products, some as part of the HD Addon bundle) and it's the same for the shapes exclusive to Pro Bundles (Olympia, Julias, Van Helsing, etc, most of them are now standalone products, except Olivia's shape).
I reported the shapes not available as standalone products, so hopefully it's a mistake that will be fixed.
My cache is fine, the bundles have been deleted.
Nikolai, Caldwell, Cheyenne, Sophia, Zahara, to name just a few Pro bundles that were inactive in my WL last night. If you're scrolling through the store, you won't see them, because they are, well, inactive.
Your wishlist should be chock-full of every product you might ever want to buy if DAZ made you an offer you couldn't refuse.
You never know when the DAZ elves will give out coupons that seriously discount anything already on your wishlist. I have pruchased some items at over 90% off due to it being on my wishlist.
For DAZ they get to accumulate statistics on which item are most desired by their customers.
So they've all gone due to the new bundle structure (to not confuse) but you can now buy licenses on inactive produts you own from your library.
That's all I was asking for, so I'm happy... slowly dumping the 28 bundles I had on my wishlist that have been culled from the store.
Around New Year's Day, I picked up the Tara bundle with my coupon, plus the Succubus Add-on & the 3 other items I wanted for 90+% off. I already had the Lilithra Hair as an Advent freebie. So spent about $8 and was - & still am - very happy.
Is it me or are there no NEW RELEASES today? I feel like those are the same items as yesterday and, and the new releases link is inactive?
I'm confused. A March Madness with no new sales?
They are new releases today, you can see them here:
https://www.daz3d.com/march-madness-25
It's the same page as yesterday, because during month long sales like March Madness, Daz usually has only one page to show each day's offers.
Thank you! That explains it.
not really much mad today...or a lot of mad considering its pretty vanilla overall.
Well, not every product, but I do like that DAZ sometimes take into account how long the item has been on the wishlist (though whether that affects how big the discounts can be is unclear).
As per the OP regarding the Madness itself, yeah, it's underwhelming so far. But I did get to check off some stuff I'd been eyeing for a while (Rawart and Stonemason products, mostly).
So far, there isn't anything that really does it for me. Lots of female genesis 9 content and a male mohawk. Tons of that stuff already in the store.
Look at "What's Hot". Female genital anatomy morphs and pubic hair - multiple of each. I guess we are no longer their target customer.
When they released those during the Valentine's Day sale I was most displeased. Then I forgot about them until I also saw them in the What's Hot section. It'd be nice to have an option to hide products I don't ever want to see, like these. I'd rather not have this store become Renderotica 2.0, and I just find it really weird to have several products of the same type like that thrown in the banner where I can't hide them at all.
I hope we get most of the "good stuff" from Renderotica sold here eventually. One can hide adult content here now, so I don't know what the big deal is. I buy some things from there, and I'd like to see that stuff heavily discounted with Daz sales. So I'm all for Daz expanding their content to make that stuff cheaper.
Images can be hidden (are hidden, by default) but not whole products.
My reaction is the complete opposite. I'm glad to see this content, especially when it's done with a high level of quality. I'm glad that I can now buy this content here and have not only the discounts but also the QC and product support DAZ offers.
You and I have very different experiences with DAZ QC. Look at the number of stray files and misnamed folders in my root DAZ DIM folder.
I've been hopping the store would sell more Filatoon content. I love it. Especially content usable by adult male charcters.
I don't need mature content.
Also, wouldn't mind more idealized proportions. We've done lot with genesis 9 real world proportions, but would like some characters more in the idealized super hero size range. Yes I know I can make my own?
I don't think Daz QC has ever been "good" from a customer perspective. path inconsistencies, folder and file naming inconsistencies, metadata errors, corrective morphs applying to more than the intended character, occasionally even missing files, have been happening for years and continue still.
Uh oh. I hear echos of Don McLean in my head. "They would not listen, they're not listening still. Perhaps they never will."
Well from my personal experience, it has actually been quite different from what most people here have experienced. I'm going to let it go at that.
Oh, speaking of support, I got a fix today in DIM for a problem I reported 17 months ago.. When I reported it, I was told it was a "known problem" reported to QA. I don't know if QA never told the PA until recently, or whether the PA didn't fix it promptly after being told. I was surprised to see a fix after so long. Caveat: I haven't tested the fix yet. I hope it is really fixed.
Heh. A couple(ish) weeks ago I dutifully submitted a crash error log per instructions in the pop-up box.
I'd forgotten all about it by the time I got a QA email back telling me to duplicate the problem and send them the error log.
Like... one, I already attached the error log just like it said, and two... duplicate it? It's a crash. And I get that sometimes things consistently crash in the same spots, but that scene I was working on has long since been altered past the point where I could trigger it a second time if it was that sort of thing. Another easy "solved" one for them, I guess, and now I know not to bother submitting crash reports.
$4.22 so far. I'm happy as they were both on my wish list.

I haven't yet been able to take advantage of the additional discounts when buying new releases as I haven't been able to bring myself to buy anything from the new range. On the first day there were a few reasonably interesting things for my WL, but yesterday it was the same as most of the time recently: white chicks, female pubic hair, skimpwear, lingerie, then white chicks again, etc., etc.... Today there are actually two (!) male figures, including one who is about the same age as the Daz women. The other, however, is once again of the (great-)grandpa type so popular with Daz. Remember: women can't be young enough for Daz, men can't be old and ugly enough... Ah, but after a long time there's a black character (female, of course). Sensation!
Am I the only one who finds all this terribly boring and uninteresting? Does Daz only have (male?) customers who are interested in nothing but Seggs? That would be sad. The Daz+ new releases yesterday were also rather meh for me. Another corridor!!!
Plus the stairwell. It looks good, but it's also a corridor of sorts. Colm Jackson, whose characters I actually really like, has had better ideas than Geko HD.
Well, maybe at some point Daz will have cleared the heaps of white chicks, skimpwear and corridors that are apparently piling up behind the house in Utah, and more interesting things will be published again.
Sorry, that was a long rant, but I had to get it off my chest.
They want to know how to duplicate the issue so they can see exactly what is happening, not saying you didn't on this occasion. It's kinda hard to fix stuff when you don't have all the needed info, which is usually the issue. We've tested and duplicate the issue for them before, and they still couldn't duplicate it on their end. There are also several instances where they need several reports from different users to be able to target a certain area. All of this is why it's so important that people give as much detailed info as possible, like every step you took when it happened. This includes if you have done any Windows updates, GPU updates, your system specs, what stuff do you have in your scene when the issue occurred. That info is what helps narrow down where the issue could be on some stuff. I'm betting there are way too many reports that just say it's broke and to fix it, which tells them nothing or where to even start looking. This is why we tend to ask so many question in regard to when sale issues are being reported. This is so we can reproduce it and then wake them up at 3am to get the issue fixed.
You should continue to open tickets if you have the time to write them because you never know how they'll be answered.
As an example, a couple of months ago, loading Olympia 9 Young Adult, I saw that her mouth was untextured, so I opened a ticket, got an answer saying they could reproduce the problem on their end, that it was added to their bug trackers and, well, that's it: the problem is not solved yet.
A month ago, I bough Hanako 9 Pro Bundle, and loading her alternatives shapes, all of them loaded with the Genesis 9 Base textures, the wrong brows and one of them didn't have any icon included in the package.
Here a screenshot showing most of these problems:
I had the time to write a ticket, so I did it, without any expectation about it being solved in a timely fashion due to my past experience (to the point that I recreated all the character presets myself, creating an icon for the ones who didn't have any in the process, and I hate creating character preset: it's just so easy to make an mistake, to the point that Daz itself can make mistake too), but lo and behold, every problem reported was solved in less than two weeks

Same, except for the stairwell which I actually like a lot. But MM itself is off to a very uninteresting start for sure. There's exactly one thing I'd like in today's new releases for me, and it's something 'nice but not important'. It's sure great to be given extra discounts on 'still new' and 'new', but this doesn't help at all when one just doesn't like what's on offer, and there's not much incentive (10% off??! You're kidding, right) for buying the new stuff otherwise. Ah well, this might all still change, we've seen it before.
Also, the MM artists don't seem to change much, do they?
Edit: Also also, what's up with the doorway items? They're age old and never change - why??
That's the thing, though... time. Most of my online time is via tablet. If I actually get the ability to sit down at a computer and don't have to focus on my own administrative stuff, I want to be making art, not functioning as an unpaid QA tester.
Yeah, feels a bit seedy really. Usually expect that of other places.

Richard
