That’s this weeks freebie. It is also a super big file. Over half a gig.

Now that Genesis 9 isn't lurking in the near future I decided to spend more this MM than I normally would have.  Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

    Not I.

But I already have more content than time, or ideas, to render it all in! though I did pick up most of the new releases in the 70% off Bonus Madness/Buyer section. And I couldn't resist the new fibermesh brows for G8 males from chevybabe25, or the Dragon Girl bundle with Stonemason's Streets of Asia 4!

I still need, OK want, to buy 3DU Monsters in My Cupboard, 3DU Grim the Toon Skeletoon, 3DU Vulture, even though I already have the PSISong Vulture, 3DU Baboon, 3DU Snail & 3DU Dodo to close out my wish list from the 3DU catalogue. I can hardy believe it as that was a goal back in March 2016 when I earnestly started. There is plenty of more I don't own but I don't want it except for possibly all the 3DU Heavies series of products. The others I don't have tend to more realistic mostly or I know I'll never use them.

I also want the G8F Skin Builder although I know truthfully I may never use it. I've still not used the G2F Skin Builder I bought, not even once.

What would be really cool is an iRay / 3DL / 3DL pwToon version of Skin Builder for the all the DAZ Genesis - Genesis 8 characters or for just G8F/G8M would fly.

That may be in your favor. I have SBPro for G2F, and while it does everything advertised, SB3 and SB8 are so much easier to work with, and more intuitive. At least to me.

How would a "3DL pwToon" version work any different than the crrent 3DL option? (I'm just curious. I have pwToon and ToonyCam Pro, and know next to nothing about either one. One of these days, though. One of these days…!)

LOVE the April Fools Deflated Donkey! What a steal for $489.98, down from $995.95

Watch- someone will not get the joke and complain the price is screwed up. Or has that happened already?

I love the donkey, but now the unflateable pony needs an update...

They're miles quicker too. I was pleased to hear that G9 won't be making an appearance this year, and not just because improvements to studio itself will be being made instead. I was a bit worried that there would be no point in Zev0 producing the 'wrinkles' addon for SB8 that he's mentioned if GF9 was about to show up, but there should be some chance of getting it now. I do love Skin Builder, but it doesn't feel quite complete without wrinkles.

Thanks for the info - I added SkinBuilder to my cart.

The 'toon skin builder' would work the same as the Skin Builder 8 - but it just needs a set of different style appropriate toon style skins templates to build on. Zev0 told me in the forums last year that Skin Builder 8 can be extended via scripting and such. Maybe that would be a good project for me for toon skins since they don't need all the details of realistic skins. So by pwToon skins I mean basically very plain non-detailed skins that very plain non-detailed details (if that's not a contradiction) could be added to like a mole for a Marilynn Monroe caricature for example.

Where is the information on not getting G9 this year?  I'm actually glad to hear that.

I wound up buying both the Skin Builder 8 (I had to buy something new to get the discount over 50% so I did and the new item got an additional 30%+ discount on top of the new pricing discount as well) and the 3DU Toon Vulture & 3DU Toon Snail! I only like the 3DU Toon Baboon, 3DU Toon Dodo, and 3DU Monsters in my Cupboard left to buy. Whoa!

That leaves just X-Morphs really on my wishlist. D.Master made some good morphs for body muscle tensors when flexed (I think that's what it is) and is also making facial expression morphs so that DAZ characters don't look extremely botoxed anymore that isn't out yet but really with the news that Genesis 9 won't be out this year and big changes are comming to DAZ Studio functionality that should help me utilize the 4000 DAZ 3D products I've already bought. Want those too but those are sort of like Skin Builder 8. Neat and helpful more to people with computers that have serious rendering power quickly than to me.

Can't resist suggesting this, but you only have a few minutes. Since the dflatable donkey is still free, if you want to spoof some folks (particularly your spouse) if you go to the page it will say "Purchased" if you already have it. That makes it look like you paid a ton for it- but if you have the price graph, it's even better. Put your mouse on the PC price and it looks like you paid $995.00 for it as that's the lowest price it was offered (despite it being free in the cart.) Do a screenshot while your mouse is still on the price in the graph.

I fully intend to give my husband a What The Hell? moment tomorrow. But this may disappear in about 15 minutes.

Hmm... My wishlist dropped from 220 to 189 overnight. I'm assuming a vendor left, but I can't work out who/what is missing...

Hey congrats to @IceDragonArt for her content library product!

It's not the style I'd use, but it was nice to see GolaM's Starlet Dress has hems rather than the paper-thin cloth look on so many dForce pieces (and others too).  There are also gove folds.

Looking for a deal?  Take a look at this gallery image too. I don't like the eyebrows as they just seem a bit faded to me, but just think what you can do by dialing that body shape into other characters. It's DE Kari in Fast Grab, and if you have the purple Victoria banner, she goes to a whopping 82% off and $3.40.

Also, gift cards receive that purple banner off too. Would be a nice time to stock up as you can put as many as you want in your cart- perhaps get some $5 ones for $4 to help folks who sponsor contests. :)

All of Kari's face maps are no-brow. She comes with fiber mesh brows. The vendor makes it really easy to use other fiber mesh brows! I was passing her by, but now I think I will add her to cart. Thanks, Novica. (No sarcasm, either.)

ETA: To get that discount/price, you'll need more than just DE Kari in the cart. With just her, it's $5.12 and 72%.

ETA2: It also helps to remember to apply the coupon code. (Doh!)

LOL no sarcasm noted.  I just always have to remind myself when looking at characters at how many different ways I can use them, aka, use their shape to add to other figures- so I didn't even think of replacing the brows.

I'm exercising as usual and zipping in and out of the house, walking a bit then coming back in to cool off. So my mind isn't entirely focused. It's getting hotter here in Florida and soon I'll be having to walk indoors or really early mornings. Ugh. BTW, I've dropped another 6 pounds since I last posted my weight, am now 120.4. Goal is 118 by the middle or end of summer. I weighed 112 to 115 in my 20's, but don't care about getting back down to that. Just want to be healthy and active.

I will be posting some renders in the next week or so, if not sooner. Have a bunch of new products that I haven't touched. Today's offer isn't helping with than additional percent off due to owning Victoria 8. Thanks Daz! And yes, when this thread ends, there will be another one and it will be more active.

YESSS! +1      I hate the paper-cut-out look of so many of the (mostly dForce) clothes that just look paper thin and with no construction or structural aspects beyond what is painted in the texture maps or stuck onto the garment, like straps or buttons.  All edges of fabric in a (real-world) finished garment have hems or binding or something, and at the neckline, hem and ends of sleeves one can see the thickness of actual fabric and any welting, seams or bindings on the fabric; sleeves aren't  just pipes magically extruded from the shoulders/chest of a garment but are stitched on and will have seams or welting; shirts and coats and dresses with button have plackets, etc.  I just will not buy the  garments that don't have any fabric thickness or lack any sense of actual garment construction about them, because when you want to show a character close up in a realistic image, those things do not pass muster.

I'd like to see a list of the best efforts.  I don't have the resources (time or money) to look at much.  Maybe the existance of a best of list would encouge creators to make more accurate clothing.  I've been very disappoined lately.

All these discounts must seem overwhelming to new buyers. I mean, does marketing even LOOK at how crowded some of these sales promo pages are?  I sometimes wonder if I'm getting what I'm supposed to.  Did you folks (who got whatever banner was active when Woo came out) get the Pro Bundle (with qualifying purchases in the cart) for $26.78 and 80% off?  The textures were all also 80% off at the time. There wasn't any chatter about it anywhere, so I figured it was legit but it sure seems unusual at second glance.

  • xmasrosexmasrose Posts: 1,403

I have the Pro bundle and some add-on DO in my cart and they are 80% off (I have the 10% off banner). Not sure I'll get it but it' a good price.
