My avatar is the first I created, end of 2014. I have no desire to change it, let alone freak you guys out with a photo of myself. Besides, I think the most recent photos of me are from my wedding, over 18 years ago. I prefer to be on the other side of the lens!

I tend to prefer being behind the camera than in front of it, so there isn't many photos of me. The ones I do have is several years old LOL. for my forum avatar here I alternate between a photo of one of my late ferrets (more often than not Kotetsu, as it is now :) ) or a render/part of a render

I changed my avatar a few months ago. A part of a render replaced by a part of another render.
Well my avatar is my second - I had an original (made in DS 2.3) when I joined in 2010, then upgraded it (in DS 3 I think) in 2012. Maybe I'm due a change too!
Nice photo - I don't do selfies either, I'm the photographer in the family and hang onto that camera like grim death!
I used to use a rendered hyacinth macaw (image attached), but years ago I swapped it with a photo of a real one from our local zoo. His name is Thor, and in my avatar photo he seems to be smiling.

That is a nice picture. And I have to admit the picture of Nova always made me smile (because I would always think of Mr Ed from the Mr Ed TV show) but if it was causing you a pang of regret, sadness, or anger everytime you saw it, well, no need to keep using it as you deserve better than that and Nova definately gave better than that.
My avatar obviously is not me if you know of the Bewitched TV show. I have made various attempts to do a realistic avatar ans/or render of me in DAZ Studio but of course being a total amateur and these being 3D models I have not talent to edit they only wind up being caricatures of me. I did have a real picture up of myself at one time when I first posted to the gallery as a before to the 'before and after' portrait (before = real picture of me / after = my attempt to do picture in DAZ) of doing a obligatory self-portrait that artists seems required to do in formal training. That post was removed from the gallery to me surprise and was told it wasn't allowed. I did find out I could use my real picture for me forum avatar but I wasn't motiviated to do that after having my picture removed from the gallery so I use avatars instead. My avatars, that I change quite often too, say not much about me. Example, Bewitched: I like the show, like the cartoon opening, but haven't watched even close to every episode of Bewitched that was made.
I like it! I don't want to know how long it takes to groom that beard though!
@barbult He DOES look like he's smiling! The bird name I really fell in love with was Kahuna and it was for an Umbrella Cockatoo. He'd pop that crest and look like a Big Kahuna!

So you're slightly older than 21 years old too, eh? Perhaps 23, like I am? (And add 40) Hate those neck wrinkles, but I'm working on those with neck exercises. They do work, surprisingly, as they tone the muscles and reduce the sag. Not all of them, but I've seen a big difference.

I'm 68 past in November and I am trying to get more exercise and get back into doing some yoga to tighten up the loose muscles, grandchildren (5) and life tend to get in the way though :)
LOL, Just to be clear- after reading what I wrote, I am talking about MY neck saggies! Now I just look like a turkey and not a pelican! (Just have to choose the right camera angle to hide the turkey...) Your photo doesn't show a darned wrinkle or sag anywhere. Men are lucky to have beards which help hide the labial folds coming down the face on either side of the nose to the mouth.
Yeah that's me! Not especially a good photo, and I keep meaning to get around to taking a better one. But it doesn't happen. Meanwhile, my hair seems to get greyer on a daily basis. Ho hum . . .

This was my first forum avatar - a V4 with face morphs added. I was trying to "make myself" but it's not much of a likeness really. Well not enough wrinkles for one thing
Just thought I'd try out a new S'teampunk" outfit I got from the bi-weeklei feebies, and then paired her up. I used Stephanie 5 Curvy, with 50% Aiko 4 head shape and 50% Aiko 5 head shape with Pure Hair:Timeless amd dresed her in the Xandra for Genesis outfit. It's a very revealing outfit, to say the least, but also very Steampunk. I paired her off with Takeo for Hiro 5, whome I dressed in the Ace of Spades Jack outfit with the goggles from Xandra standing in front of the Steampunk Bike Pro.

I will say, I first came across it when I went back to posts on one of the previous threads (from the browser add-in) and kept thinking "who is this commenting? I don't recognize the picture". I finally took a look at the name - oh, that's a change!

You got three years on me I turned 65 back in February and my grand daughter just blessed me with a great granddaughter last month

A funny comment on age. The barn owner, Elaine, is also in her mid sixties. We were talking about how we still plan to ride when we're in our late 70's and theyd need a pulley setup, a crane, or a tractor bucket to lift us into the saddles! (Hey, as artists we could come up with a design and patent that... the Senior Horse Mount System...)
This is Elaine with her horse Cinnamon, the day she brought her home last year. Cinnamon is a children's party horse. Love the circle in the white of her face.

Have you folks tried posting an image in the last two minutes? I got a message, "No file data could be found in your post." and I had already typed my post and there WAS text in it. It wouldn't let me add a second picture above, so here's the pony party one. Elaine and her daughter Sarah are in the bucket. They're wearing pink because it's a Princess Party. The horses hair is braided and they have pink ribbons, etc.
Edit- Elaine just bought the 10 acres in the background. Yippeee! Another arena and another barn going up, and leaving a trail around the property for us to ride around. It makes it more fun for Stetson NOT to do circles in an arena. We wander all over the property.

These are some of the photos I send the troops of the barn, so I'll share a few more. I try to get the troops' minds off of where they are and give them a view of the countryside and horses, and the people/animals. They get to "know" us.
The most adorable name for a dog? Ichabod, aka "Icky." It's a girl! She rode around on the tractor helping Ross do his chores. (She's still alive, Ross doesn't work there anymore.)
Stetson with his hair braided out of his eyes. This is 1800 px if you want to click/ enlarge. He's all set for the summer with his two high velocity fans all cleaned. He comes in at noon starting pretty soon, usually the end of May.
See Stetson's black coat coming out? He's shedding his winter coat. He turns ultra shiny and black and then gets somewhat sun bleached by end of June/July. He and Sheba do this all day long, off and on.
The tack room, office, and restrooms are all air conditioned.
