The dForce Newrava Outfit for Genesis 8 Male has a nice vest and pants which would make good club wear or a workout outfit when paired with some sneakers. The vest even has an unzip morph.

I've found when making and using tuxedo outfits that the collar is the most difficult area. It is just a challenge to get the collar to look right, and for the bow tie to remain where it is without becoming a twisty mess.If you apply smoothing it seems to want ot pop out from under the collar.... So... I don't know. I think I shall continue to search for a tux.

Lately, when I've needed to deal with bowties, if the surfaces of the tie and the shape of the collar will let me get away with it, I tend to just smartprop it to one of the neck bones. Does make it need more tinkering if the character turns their head, but also doesn't get stretchy and weird or pop out of the collar.

The challenge too is the collar distorts. There almost needs to be a shirt with a flexible neck collar that doesn't twist out of proportion that you can apply the ties too. It does little good to fix the bow tie if the collar is funkified.

On the subject of new menswear we have Man Suit by powerage. I admit that this outfit really disappoints me. For one thing, there is a ton of distortion on poor Boyd. The pants, and loafers are okay, the problems occur mostly with the tie, shirt, and jacket. The buttons of the vest are too visible and seem to ruin the look of the coat. You can't hide them, because they leave circular gaps. So you may have to retexture those black with the vest overall to conceal them. The jacket is a bit on the wee side. The tie is prone to distortion. In fact finding the tie was sort of hard, since it is part of the shirt and is labeled of all things... Elbow.

The suit does look better on a plain character like G8M or M8. It doesn't handle Boyd at all... As morphs seem to create problems. If I used this I'd probably dial out his body, and keep M8.

One thing I've long wanted- was a basic tuxedo or business suit body you could dial in when a character is wearing formal wear. It might prevent clingy weirdness when the outfits are applied.

Yeah, even those tuxedo t-shirts that are so popular aren't so clingy as that. I've a really tough time calling that a suit of any type and wouldn't use it.

We are in lockdown where I am, which means everything except stores, medical places, and takeout are closed. No one is supposed to go out, except on official business to avoid infecting others.  I have been assigned to work from home, so I am using my rendering pc which is an odd experience. One thing I have learned, is I need a new keyboard, and mouse- its really not designed for hours of typing.

I also can do the laundry in between calls, which is kind of nice. Other than that, I appear to be working much harder from home, and will likely until I can get a telephone from work, to handle the callers. It's been a fun ride, but I except it will last thorugh April at least... My workplace is not equipped for a pandemic, and neither is my state.

Lovely pic of the boys. Thanks for the buggy product warning, that demon is on my wishlist but I'll hold off until (maybe) it gets fixed. I'm not much in the mood for shopping anyway now that (a) my finances are looking a bit skint and it's 2 weeks til check day, (b) I'm having a flare up of my arthritis & some other health issues, and (c) this pandemic and all that comes with it. So far there's been no cases in my area though we have 4 in Labrador as of today but I'm not optimistic we won't get any here on the island. Most of my family would be especially vulnerable given our ages and medical conditions so it's taking priority now.

Here's hoping you and everyone else stays safe. angel

They are claiming it'll last through sometime in summer but I'll believe that when I see it. Around here if it isn't a government job it's been business as usual although they did take my temperature when I got my allergy shot today to verify I wasn't sick.

I think it will persist into the fall. For us fall is the big time for illness since people return to school and are indoors. There are some promising vacccines and treatment options in the next year or two. Detecting those without symptoms who are Carriers is important. As is retraining Americans to think differently.

If anyone buys this: Lyanno Hair and Beard Set for Genesis 8 Male I am curious what the hair looks like without the beard. I'm not a fan of big beards, but the hair looks useful

This is a redo of an earlier Gen 3 version of Boyd. Boyd had a fever, so I wanted to depict him with wet skin. https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-wet-body-iray  was used, and turned out pretty well. This old Runtime Media sleep chamber https://www.daz3d.com/lunar-science-station-sleep-tubes makes a great background with some emissives added to give the tubes a fiery glow.

I'm still messing around trying to find a good tux option. here is a kitbash of three different tuxedos. Now that my friend Nic, has made a shoulderpad morph, I am going to see how that works with the tuxedo.

Nic has made a really cool freebie for making 'shoulderpads' for g8M. It does straighten out the shoulders to make suits look a bit more even. Of course, this tuxedo top is not very even to begin with, so maybe not the best choice of outfits.

On the topic of male releases, we have CyBody - Cyborg Internal Structure and Materials for Genesis 8 Male

This is an interesting product, which is basically a cyborg under structure that you can customize. Depending on what you want to do with the base G8M, you can leave parts visible, make him clear, or remove his skin entirely by hiding it. There are tons of options. The skeleton is clothing, but to see it at all you must hide G8M, or alter his skin in such a way that his structure shows. Otherwise, you won't see anything but an internal emissive. There are different emissive options, and two presets. I do wish there were two included character presets, such as the characters appear in the promo, but you can't have everything. This is as close as it gets to being able to replace your character's limbs with cybernetic parts, without the distortion of applying them over skin, and muscle. I hope to see others expand on the visible skeleton idea. As I'd love to see more detail in the feet areas, and more muscularity and detail in the hands.

Boyd doesn't use cyborg bodies too often. If he is going to be wear a non-human body he usually goes for something that can fly, but this new hardware is difficult to resist!

On the subject of Men's wear, here is a very nice suit: A.N.T.S. Armored Nano Tech Suit for Genesis 8 Male(s) (henceforth refered to as A.N.T.S), The set contains individual pieces, and a very nice bodysuit and multiple colors options. Parts are removable. There are no material presets, but each color option includes a preload which is nice, since there are many pieces to this set. You can color each part individually. Overall, an exceptionally nice looking bit of men's clothing here. Make sure to give it a closer view.

If you have https://www.daz3d.com/hobo-scene-props and https://www.daz3d.com/everyday-groceries

Here is freebie scene file, of as much groceries as I could fit in the cart in about 1 hour with my carpal kind of bugging me. The majority of things in the trolley are toilet paper and towels, but I did wedge a few grocery items in towards the end.

Think you can do better? Show me how much TP and groceries you can fit in your cart in an hour without clipping

Alternatively, you can stuff the cart scene file I made with more items... From those sets.  I tried to avoid clipping, but there still may be some. enjoy

Free to use or modify, requires those 2 items to work

I don't have either I'm afraid but I did find out that if all the hoarding continues that kudzu when it greens up is edible. And of course I hope my fruit, nut and berries are productive this year. Some of them have bloomed for the first time. I'm just joking, by the time i actually need to go shopping again next month the hoarders should have it out of their systems, if it's end consumers and not others farther up the supply chain that are doing the hoarding.

On the subject of male outfits for G8M, here we have DZ G8M JumpSuitZ for G8M by Dzheng. I've actually been wanting a union suit and this is the closest I've seen. Unfortunately, no back flap, or long option, but maybe we will see that soon. The original color is on the right. It has a standard waffle knit fabric. On the left doctored it  up with Daz Iray - Christmas shaders which are a merchant resource from rendo. These are very good shaders, with a nice tight weave perfect for winter clothing. Oddly, due to search issues, they hardly ever show up in the search in that store unless you choose that exact wording.

If you have trouble with the fit on the shoulders of muscular character, I found if I dialed out the fitness and some of the morphs applying to the jumpsuit it fit better

I did somewthing unusual today. Since the dirndl for G8F was on sale for less than $10 today (because I bought the swamp caveman Flintstone pants), I went ahead and bought a bundhosen today at full price (over $21!) so I wouldn't have to fool around with remembering to buy the lederhosen later afyer having already bought the dirndl. They are by different PAs.

That said, I'm rendering the bundhosen now & having a pair myself I have to say they are rendering quite realistically good (at least at 1920x1920 res with full body in frame). So Toyen the PA gets kudos for that even at full price but, however, I'm not liking the dirndl by another PA. While the geometry for the dirndl is acceptable the default materials make it look like a cheap printed American fabric meant for cheap Halloween costume party and not a more traditional dirndl (I know the modern designs are all over the place). The shoulders are decently good but the dress looks like a 3DL flat render and not even cloth. You can see that in the ad copy pictures  but it's still a good deal at under $10.

Oh I forgot why I was originally posting: They are M4 longjohns aka panhandles aka long underwear aka union suit at Rendo for reasonable with all your requirements (except you'll have to do a bit of work to get them on G8M). I don't own them but they look so-so realistic to me, good enough certainly for most poses.
