Umm... I have a Poser runtime section that holds, well I think, 3 to 4 years of content that would AutoFit to the G1 so easy. I do not think I have looked in that part of my content folder in many many months now. That is my problem. I know I have content that in 5 years plus I have never rendered once. All of it was bought for a reason. Looking at much of it the reason eludes me now. Just what was I thinking when I bought that set? It appealed to me at the time I bought it. But not so much now.

I really have been hard at work correcting that. Converting my older content as best I can to the new figures is one thing I am trying to do, as I get the New DS Beta version fully set up for my work flow. The only drawback I can see is the New RC version of the Beta going to Full release version and me then needing to set it up to match the Beta version I now prefer. I do not think there is away to get the Beta Version and the Full versions to use the same set up files. If you can I need to know how, now I said that watch it be easy to do and right in front of me the whole time. Until now I never thought of just how different my set up was from a clean install. Five years plus of Files transferred from one PC to a new one all with config files, DS2, DS3, DS3A, DS4.0 and on and on, each adjusted to the new things added in each version added up to much more none standard than it looked on the surface.

LOL!! Opps I seem to have HiJacked Trish's thread for a ramble on my issues. All I meant to post was, I'm very close to being able to get back to my thing and doing it my way, which I thought was the easy way. Keep on Rendering Trish. I love looking.

Jade Thanks....I think I will have to read what you wrote at least a dozen more times before I understand any of it...LOL.....playing with lights probably got carried away as per usual...............I could not get rid of the glossy skin tone ...I don't like this triple S stuff very much...that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.....what is SSS skin anyway ??? what is the purpose??? where is the blue helpy guy when I have a serious question??? Please don't tell me we have a new version of darkside coming out .....I was just getting used to this one......

Hmmm I generally build off from the three point light set up, a neat little tut showing it in action was released by DAZ_Jarred https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msw2KyQBlug It was showing how they did the promos for Gia, and various other DO characters use the same method I think. I tend to use Advanced Lights in DS rather than uber environment and standard lights. The other thing that can really make a difference is ensure raytraced shadows are enabled if using daz default lights and that shadow softness is in effect. Deep shadow maps (DSM are unreliable IMO, prone to artifacts, and not compatible with any form of SSS) Hope that helps ya some :D

Love your characters all very pretty, and certainly have style :) Great stuff Trish!
