Where is this said?
Dana
Here
I just looked at the ReadMe files for both Sensible Shoes for V4 and Bossy Boots 2 for V4, and in both it says "These files must NOT be redistributed without my permission." So I'd be wary of giving advice to just re-upload them and distribute them as you did.
I wonder what has happened that he has cleared his account like that?
Dana
From the link I just gave you his note and I quote:
location: Australia
Member Type: Enthusiast
Expertise: 3D modeling, drawing, digital art
Tools: Hexagon, Poser, Photoshop
Due to illness (and a lack of much spare time these days), I am now making all the items in my portfolio PUBLIC DOMAIN. In other words, I am happy for users to modify / refit my footwear meshes to fit other figures AND to make them available for other users to download.
My restrictions are modest: The modified items are to be made available for FREE for other users to download HERE at ShareCG (NO SELLING please), and that commercial use in renders is FULLY ALLOWED. These meshes are intended for use in 3D applications (rendering), NOT as 3D content for games (eg NOT for Second Life, independent games etc).
I would appreciate relevant credits in any readme/documentation regarding my meshes / files used etc. Thanks :o)
If you create a refit and make it available, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know (just so I can mention it to other users who often request refits). :o)
I will keep my portfolio available here for new users to discover and enjoy; after all, that is why I create my items - for others less fortunate than myself to enjoy 3D on a tight budget.
Enjoy :o)
That is why Varsel has the Genesis versions of the Boots and sensible shoes on his account.
Here
Hmmm...well, he also said that he'd keep his portfolio up for new users to discover...however, he did not. Clearly something has changed further.
I wish him well.

I got Chibi Miku to work but I must say wayback machine was a little temperamental tonight.
Finally the TJ_KAZE Shoes zip comes down as zero bites. Don't know if that is wayback being touchy or there just isn't anything there.
Yeah, the wayback machine can be a pain at times, links that worked yesterday, don't work today. And might work tomorrow.
I had 4 items from the wayback, the blue woman's outfit, shoes & hose, from one site. And Chibi Miku on another.
As for headkase taking his stuff down, it has happened before with other artists.
It's his art, it's his choice, let's not POed the guy, so maybe he will put it back up again.
Gerry
Oh, that wasn't my intent at all.

Kismet, Thanks for joining in on the fun. All your links check out and you have the required monster and music element. Music will have the last say since this is his show this month but I think you qualify.
I love the concept that you were going for. A great tongue and cheek kind of thing. I would though have lightened up the scene to better see the elements. If you are using DAZ I know that Shifting Images provided some light settings for the dungeon set. You might want to try them and see how they work for you. This is only a suggestion if you are happy with your scene then all is well and good.
Music may have a different idea about when you should incorporate these comments, but here are some things to include when you enter your next render into the contest.
1. We like to see which of the links go to a registered site. So your sharecg links should have some annotation indicating that free registration is required.
2. Because you have a .3ds model and DAZ can not import this type of file we include the link to a free software that can convert the file to obj which DAZ does like. Here is the link for Poseray which meets the requirement.;
https://sites.google.com/site/poseray/
Again thank you for entering and good luck!

Thank you for the feedback DollyGirl.
I did not know about the conversion program. I imported the skeleton and then resized him. Wish I could have posed him though.
I agree it's dark. I'll see what I can do.
I'm a newbie so the help is very much appreciated.

Your welcome Kismet. As to rigging your skeleton DAZ has the tools to do so. You will have to search far and wide for any free tutorials about rigging. I finally just started buying the tuts here at DAZ to learn. They are still untouched. Just to many things to learn about and rigging gets put to the bottom of the list.
As to lighting options there are some really good uber light packages for free that I use as my starting point when I light a scene. Here are my three most favorite:
InaneGlory's Lights
Wancow's Lights
glaseye's skydome
glaseys's matching lights
Have fun playing. Lighting is probably the most important thing to learn about in this hobby. Lots of people struggle with getting the lighting just the way they want it. You just picked a hard thing to do. Lighting in a dark scene is very tough.

Story of my life. I always seem to do things the hard way until I learn/realize there is a far simpler way to do what I want. :)
The rigging is going to have to wait. I have too much to learn and need to work on shaders for the New Users Contest...but I really enjoy reading the entires for this contest and decided to give it a go.
HEADS UP!!!!
Dawn will no longer be free after October 31. Grab her now if you want her.
Also, she probably won't be "FREE" for use in this challenge after that.
Kendall
where is Dawn free at Kendall?
You know I can't answer that Jeeperz, it would violate TOS. It is at that other place that started up recently.
I'll let Cho decide to post more, if it is allowed.

Names yes, links no, as it goes to a commercial page. So google Hivewiire.
Anybody heard from Music? We have two entries that need to be evaluated. Who are this month's judges? Need some help please.
I really like this render. It fits the theme, has the freebies, good lighting, good poses and scene. Full size image looks especially nice.
