Some of them from Mafia II also, he does have some decent conversions there alright.
The Count's Got Nothin' On Sue!
Ratfink Chebby!
i like the shiny metal in the renders. Here is my render. I applied a paint shader for the body. I also applied a chrome shader to the bumpers and rims.
edit: i think the scene is too dark for my tastes. I'll change the lighting later.
Wait...is that the 32 peeking out from behind that thing?...lol.
:-)
NOW THA'S WHAT I'M TAWKIN BOUT! (Looks like you are playing with the Yosimite HDRI also.)
:cheese:
Looks good so far. Maybe change the angle of the camera and/or the lights to get reflections off the shaders. Rotate the "X" on the lights down some, or the "Y" from side to side.
:-)
yes, thanks for the tips. I just realized that I was using my "old" lights for my nightime camping scene. No wonder the "sunlight" is dark. lol
Great shades of Ed Big Daddy Roth
Playing around with the HDRProSets Yosimite. Took a while to figure it all out, but well worth the time.
:-)
Glad to see you sorted out the black ground plane problem with Yosimite. Nice render, I see you also like chrome shaders. He he.
I love chrome shaders...lol...I think the thing here is that when you load the shader, you go to the surfaces tab and you apply the dome image to the Reflection color, then raise the reflection from 80% to 100%. This will reflect the surroundings in the chrome. If it is a car, you do the same for the body paint. Many shaders will come with an image already in the reflection, just change it to the dome image.

Its too bad I don't have any 3D Ratfinks!
updated version of 13 year old Laura in her green jeep. I increased the spotlight's intensity to 100% and I moved it closer to the jeep. Posing characters is challenging.
Awesome work, thanks so much for sharing!
Here's something interesting!

Thanks, not sure where I got the obj from, I think it may have been a freebie off a disk. That image isn't finished as yet though. I've since imported it into Wings3D and it has loads of generic named surfaces. I need to re designate and group them, then re save the obj. I did something similar with the 1953 Cadillac obj, which crashed DS until I re saved it from Silo.
@betsy662. Nice, is that road legal. He he.
Here is my take on Renolace's Caddy render. I think he did his in Poser. I did this one in DS4.6. I used the EnvSphere and applied the ISBL image he used. I added a ground which is a flat plane set at 60-60-60 to make it invisible. I checked "cast shadows" on it. I parented it to the car so I could move it with the car. I opened a uberenv light for the surroundings, and a single distant light that I set shadows on raytrace. The main problem I ran into was getting the environment to light up. It kept coming back dark, real dark. So I had to add a second distant light and scatter it real wide, and rotate it to point at the back of the sphere. It kept wanting to light up the Caddy real bright, so I played with it and reduced the intensity. I changed the reflection image to the image on the sphere on the body and chrome. I then beefed up the reflection setting to 80% and copied the body color to it. This is what I got after tweeking. Not quite as sharp as Renolace's, but still ok.

:-)
Here is the original car that was used to make the 1960s Batmobile. The Ford Futura.
Here is one of my favorite car pics...wish I could make this in a 3d model..it would ROCK!
Pappy's Pimpmobile!
:-)
What's the point here?

Yep couldn't remember the name
Some leg room in the rear.
Maybe?
Actually, there are quite a few Model T models out there, especially at the 3D Warehouse, I believe I may have picked up a couple of touring cars off of share cg also, one of those can certainly be reworked in Blender.
Some leg room in the rear.
Maybe?
LMAO...but the engine is back there with you...lol.
