I bought the 3RFD suit and took it for a quick spin. I must say in advance that I really dislike the heels with the suit, but the rest of it is quite pretty, and it said in the description that gloves, boots, etc were 'independent parts' so I thought it was worth a try.

The parts aren't separate items, but there is a preset to hide them, so that works. The boots I substituted are the NEO High Boots and High Top Sneaker for Genesis 8 Female, which appear to be no longer at DAZ.

There are no separate material zones beyond the basic division for the parts, which would have been nice too.

All in all, despite the limitations, a nice set, with the right boots *g*

Those boots look good! (Like they belong with the outfit, too.)

Well, today's a good day to go shopping, but again, it pays not to shop promo sections too early. Because had you waited (I did) you get an additional 20% off those deals IF you got the cat banner. I did some trial and error adding things to the cart so I could tell prices, although I removed quite a few due to budget. (Birds were unexpected and went on credit card as it is.)  If it wasn't 69% or more I took most of them out, and took out most of the PC+ ones even at 80% up.  (Sigh)   But here's some examples- (They come from different promotions, you'll just have to go through each banner)

(Didn't grab the image, but note this is the cat)

Probably not- I was editing my post as you posted, to show a couple I took out. Also added a few more notes so take a peek. :)

Ah well, it's not as if we don't end up buying the whole store in the end, even if it takes a while...

LOL.  Headed out to see my birds (won't come home until end of August.)  Then running errands. BTW did everyone see the article on Weather.com about the weak El Nino going to a neutral one? It had a chart showing that makes it like La Nina, which now means a potentially active season. It almost doubles the number of storms. Worth a read if you're on the East Coast or Gulf Coast / Florida peninsula.

How about Paris France at 108F

We had over 105 F in the south of the country, and 99 locally. I feel for the Parisians.

As a Parisian I can tell you that being outside today was not fun at all...

Thinking about everyone in the heat :)  We had relatively low humidity (aka not 90% up) today which made it bearable.

Hey, I have a Daz Studio 4.12 Beta Public Build in my DIM. Anyone loaded that up yet? Didn't we JUST get the 4.11?  Edit- when I hover over it, it says the package date is july 17th. It also has the Essentials, Alembic, etc

There's a bit of a problem with this beta. Some of us are working to isolate what causes the issue, but some files saved in previous versions of DS crash the beta when you try to save the file.

I've found one thing that causes it to crash, the power cord from InaneGlory's older lamp set. But it doesn't always crash. It depends on how the bones have been moved. That's to say, my original posed cord brings DS 4.12 down, but another pose doesn't have an issue. I reported it in the beta thread. Not sure if it's just props like the cord, with a large number of bones for posing, or if there are other things that also crash it.

There are a number of people who are over the moon with the changes, though. but if you use products like Sy's rigged prop packs, you might want to wait for the next update. No eta on that.

After what I went through with the 4.11 beta crashing, and I'm doing fine with the 4.11, I'm not installing anything new.

But Daz is dragging their feet on fixing the duplicate file problem caused by (IIRC) LY's Briallen.

    Really love the 3RFD Suit!

I don't mind the boots at all either. I kinda like them actually.

I've never been so impressed with a wardrobe item that fits so perfectly without any adjustments. The various textures and colors are really beautiful on the suite as well.

Thank You chungdan for creating this!

Yeah, but we're supposed to have a temperate sea climate - average summer temperature is something between 20 - 25 Celsius, over 35 is exceptional and 40 - as we had yesterday - was unheard of two days ago. The old temperature record in the Netherlands was 38.6, and that dated from 1944.

It's supposed to be four seasons of autumn in the Netherlands, really. Mostly we have wind from the sea, but right now, it comes form the south and east, over land, making it unusually hot. Less humid, though. And next week it's supposed to be back to rain, so it's all only temporary.

I received a little unexpected income, so I'm about to bump that up another notch. (I sell a silk plant cleaner online, and the sales are mostly few and far between. But I got two sales this week. Yay!)

There were upates for some of LY's characters a few weeks back which, I thought, fixed the issues.

Yes, Briallen HD for Alexandra 8 was fixed. I had filed the report and I think it was over a month ago, the fix came through. My month has been very busy with physical therapy and such what, so I may be off. But I re-installed her and everything worked fine.

PS: Novica, your birds are lovely. They made me smile and I had to look them up in Google. As for yesterday's DAZ House Cat sale, I had to restrain myself, but had fun. Thanks DAZ!

I'm still working on changes to the Medieval Fantasy Bedroom and came across a glitch. Below are two quick renders of the fire. I was getting a lot of light coming in from the left side of my original render and could see it was the fire so lowered all the Lumens which helped but now there was a strong white light. I assumed a window so went into perspective mode and there are two cutouts above the fireplace that shouldn't be there, not a place for windows. I clicked on Wall1 Fireplace, which that is, and went to Parameters. In there the Z Translate was 55.35, which is the first image, I changed that to 55.34 and the cutouts disappeared, second image. Now I know where the extra light was coming from :) Anybody else noticed this or is it just my settings?

Just got back from the bird store, Motuihe (Tuey) and Tokelau (Toko) were a handful so Riley helped me with them (girl who owns the pretty yellow one, who works there.)  Tuey is on your left, Toko is on the right.

Click to enlarge, click again. Really big. BTW, this is a screen shot in a video. If you have an Apple phone, you can pause the video, hold down the home button that's on the phone BELOW the screen, then hold down your turn-off button, and take a screenshot! Then you have the option to send it in a message, email, and to save it to your photos! DUH, I never thought about doing that as I take so many photos, but when I saw this, I froze it and explored how to do it.

I'll check to see if I'm getting the duplicate file error. I'll uninstall Briallen if I am. Did Daz make a post about it? I haven't surfed other threads very much due to the birds and going to visit them almost every day.

Here's a great article- this is a banner year for getting one of these, this store has never had them before and the population in New Zealand is bounding back (thanks to the island of Motuihe which was the island they vaguely referred to, the controlled predator thing)  Didn't know these almost went extinct, the article said "crashed" that I first read. I'm now doubly happy I got them! Going to get them DNA'd soon. I hope both are boys as they're better talkers supposedly, but I work with mine so much that I think either sex will talk.
