The very first line in the Bookmark thread (by ManFriday himself) links to the render queue product, even before it does to the bookmark.
Interesting that Claudia Octavia has a scar on her face. Wish there was a no scar option though.
Not always. I had a girlfriend once who had one, it wasn't very affectionate, not the joyful type that greets you eagerly wagging its tail when you come home, or licks your face, it rather seemed a bit nervous. It seemed to like me though (I was always nice to it), it usually came and sat besides me leaning on my leg, but that was more or less it. Then one day, about a year after she had got it, it suddenly attacked one of our friends who had been teasing it and bit him in the face. After that she didn't trust it anymore and decided to have it put down.
It may be an exception, I don't know, haven't know other dalmatians than this one, but dogs can be unpredictable. One of my friends back then which I spent a lot of time with had a cross-breed, I think it was half german shepherd dog. A very affectionate and loving dog, and it almost considered me a family member because I was there so much in periods. If I hadn't been visiting them for a while it would jump up and down howling almost hysterically as if I was a long lost friend, and jump up in my lap and lick me all over the face when I finally managed to sit down. But if someone had given it a bone and it lay there chewing on it, no one could get near it, not even my friend. It would turn into a wild animal, growling and snarling and showing its teeth, as if you were an enemy trying to attack it. I'm pretty sure it would have bitten anyone who had dared to touch it.
Yes, why oh why don't they make such "abnormal" things optional? I'm sure they would sell more that way. I was just looking at this:
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-halter-top-and-jeans-for-genesis-8-females
and thought, nice, a pair of high rise jeans for a change (I think the low rise ones look silly, and like they're about to fall off). But only one texture apparently, and that one has holes in it which I don't like either. Assuming that you start out with a normal texture and then make the holes, it would be very simple to include the normal one also. Yes, I know there is an addon with four textures, but one of them also has holes. So there are two texture colors you can't get without holes.
There has been a new code in the banner every day since they started giving a discount for owners of X G8 pro bundles. They're good for only one day. I assume that's because the code is single use, but I haven't tried to use it more than once. (Apparently there are two coupons, with the lesser quantity being 5, I think, and the best discount if you have 10 or more.)
Be sure and check back to this post, I've been adding the gals. I'll let you know when I get a couple more new ones added. Sapphira and Duffy are up next, sometime today and tonight.
Wow! I think I'll stick to my budgies & Indian Ringnecks! They aren't dangerous hardly at all, especially the budgies. The ringnecks either although their beaks can hurt and be mildly dangerous (not so the budgies so if you ever want an easy to tame, cheap, cheerful pet - a budgie beats every other pet by a mile although goldfish and fish know when they are going to be fed and such too that's about as good as you can tame them I think.
Dalmations can sometimes be aggresive and have an attitude partly because they tend to be some what hyper-active
Here's a link about them https://dogsaholic.com/breeds/profiles/dalmatian.html
Dalmations were used to guard the carriages of the wealthy and after that, when carriages weren't used, the houses.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carriage_dog
Thanks guys. I guess it makes sense they were carriage dogs as the 1st dog I remember was a dalmation at the firehouse. It seems if I ever do change my mind that any dog I would pick needs legitimate service dog training. I don't want dogs like my neighbors have for sure.
FYI I sent out some PMs. Ignore the random numbers I typed as the daz system doesn't like the same PM sent so I have to just hit some gobblygook first, and numbers are easy. :) If you didn't get a pm and are one of my thread surfers, PM me. I'll be in and out, outside walking since it's ONLY in the upper 80's. (Been 95 and 99 degrees the past two days. Nights are even awful!) But I'll be back inside in about ten minutes. I walk in "chunks" when it's this hot. (PS, still between 120 and 123 pounds! Doing great. Can't wait for the fall so I can go out and walk with Stetson.)
If you need a small urban Japanese set I recommend the Japanese Alley which was on sale this month and so I think should be part of at least 2 other catchup sales before the PA Sales Festival is over. It is by Mely3D but is a DAZ Originals.
Warning.. Rant incoming...
Bought a product, looked forward to try it.. loaded in the scene and closed off studio to return product! The damn vendor has saved his/her own viewport/workspace files into it, so the damn product changes MY viewport/workspace when it is loaded.. I so hate that!!
Rant over...
Sorry guys, had to get the remaining annoyance out before going to change my viewport back to what it Should be. I do hope I hadn't forgotten to save that one so I need to redo it from scratch again *sigh* Why oh WHY does some vendors save their own settings for viewport/workspace with the product that is to be sold to others!? I honestly can not understand that :/
@carolao And what is even MORE frustrating is of course the question, where is the quality control checking the products?
Don't be afraid to mention the product here, that's what the thread is for- to discuss both the good and the needs-improvement aspects. That way this product won't ruin someone else's day. Or night!
@Carola O
I don't like that either. I have my settings saved as a Render setting so that I can just run it and get them back, then carry on setting them up to suit the offending product. I also have a default scene which is run at startup and when creating a new scene which sets everything back to my default settings.
To make it easy click on the icon for your settings and at the bottom of the menu is save as a Custom Action ( or something like that ) and it will be added to the Script Menu, it will be created if it isn't there, and then it is just a matter of going to the Script Menu and selecting it to run it whenever needed.
To stop the settings and scene being overwritten by accident open the folder for each one and right click on the icon and in Properties set the Attribute to Read Only. I also do that with test scenes I don't want written over if I want to try something different and don't want to lose the original settings.
The Script Menu is handy for a lot of things too. Like having the Iray Uber Shader there, Glass Shader, Water Shader, Simtenero Randomizer, UltraScatter etc. then I don't have to go looking for them in the library :)
The product is Falcons Lamp Bundle, I suspect it's an old product though and not sure if it was always a daz product or came from rdna (not sure the rdna stuff were quality tested? Not that it matters with some of the products passing through that so called testing *shakes head* )
Thanks for the tip Fishtales, I might try that if I ran into other such products, though a part of me kinda feels it better to return them.. if enough products like that is returned perhaps it will possible stop? ... one can hope atleast :) (should add, it is Rare that I find such products in the first place, still jsut as annoying though :) )
I feel kinda bad for the poor one reading my support ticket, as my furstration and annoyance was Clearly shining through, I did apologise though and added it wasn't their fault :)
This went 16 hours and only 45% done the first time I rendered it so I did a few changes and got the time down. I could have stopped it at 10 or 12 hours at 90% and not seen much of a difference but, as I wasn't too bothered I let it run.

Yes, budgies are cool. Had one myself when I was a kid and it was very friendly and tame. If I opened my mouth it would stick its head in and drink my saliva (yes I did remember to give it water, I guess human saliva just tastes good for a budgie).
Thought I'd share another of my efforts here. My girlfriend mentioned last week that the season was changing from summer to autumn, and the idea for this image popped into my head. Spent a long time thinking about how to do it, ending up with a spot render and a depth canvas for each figure (including her neighbour(s) arm(s)), and a crapton of layers and masks to combine them all together in post. Each render took about three hours, and I didn't really know what the end result would look like until I finished the final piece. I'm quite insanely pleased with the final result, and hope you guys like it too...

P. S.
I read this far too fast, and skipped over the rather important words "who had one." I was wondering why Taoz would want his girlfriend to wag her tail and lick his face when he comes home...
Just a little about Dalmatians, because I love them dearly :D I was a firefighter, so of course I got a Dalmatian. Several of the other firefighters warned me against it because of the hyperactivity, and I ignored them. What I got was the best dog ever. Dalmatians are highly intelligent and very emotional (much like children). How they are brought up is so much more important than the breed itself. They need attention, exercise and positive reinforcement. They get resentful at punishment-- just like kids. Every person that interacted with my dog referred to him as a "Disney Dalmatian"-- with the temperament and good nature folks watching their movies would expect. He was the only dog that the chief let into the firehouses. He was invited to every kids' day, he went to the elementary schools when we did our presentations there, he rode in the parades and was generally an ambassador for our stations. He only ever growled at 1 repairman that came into my apartment once (did NOT like the guy and wouldn't let him get within 10 feet of me), and once at a dog that attacked my parents' small dog on a walk (he grabbed him and growled, then immediately let him go when the dog let go of our little dog with no injury to that dog at all though ours was bleeding). If people were arguing or intense, he'd get between them and move them away from each other. Just like people, any dog can be good or bad. It just depends on how they're raised.
Edit: Even his vet called him a "Disney Dalmatian" and when I'd board him there, they gave him the run of the place until bedtime because he was so well behaved.
That's going to be the case for all scenes - you merge a scene in to avoid changing your scene viewport.
LOL, I won't let mine to that or even ride my shoulder. I I get them in 2 bonded male-female pairs so they don't feel I'm being neglectful by disallowing shoulder riding. The bonus is that when the girl budgies don't want to do a preening & feeding ritual, the boys will do the preening & feeding rituals with each other as they are practically non-stop with trying to impress the girls.
But what you said makes me wonder - budgies usually live in the desert so maybe wallabies & kangaroos mouths are where they get their water in the desert?
Wow, he sounds like my Indian Ringnecks with regards to remembering and being resentful of punishment. Not that I've actually tried to punish those IRNs but they perceive things the way they perceive and with those painted on smiles on their beaks I am left guessing. They are mad at my "punishment" because I changed the room they are in, they are mad because I changed the cages the are in, they are made because I ran out of apples, the only time they have not been mad and I knew it was when I separated the green female from the yellow female so they each had separate cages. They are a demanding creatures, especially the yellow one.
The problem is... the vendor wasn't selling a Scene.. but a furniture prop.. and even when I Tried to merge the prop ( one of the lamps) into my scene, it STILL changed my viewport/workspace.. so no, that should Never be the case
Yeah it's an old product was released back in 2008
Oh, too funny!

That is a PC+ product, so if you post the problem in this thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/34725/updated-products#latest Jen may be able to fix it.
Thanks, first saw the PM today though - DAZ is supposed to send me an email when I get a PM and it used to work, but hasn't recently. No spam filter on, and DAZ daily mails get though fine. Another store bug I guess. Discovered the sale stacking myself anyway and managed to spend $80, mostly on Andrey's stuff.
LOL Great render btw.
No idea. I saw a program on TV recently where a huge flock of them were drinking from a lake - because they were so many they had to drink in turns with some of them drinking for a few seconds while the rest stayed in the air, waiting for their turn. Mostly to avoid predators (crocks etc.) as far as I understood. They wild ones are incredibly fast and agile, you wouldn't think that when you see them flying around indoors.
Count me as another that really likes the 3RFD suit but hates the shoes.
