OnlyLuvsCatz - cool video, disturbing but cool!  Are those DAZ animated characters in your video?  I thought Twinmotion does not support import of animated FBX, so how did you get your characters animated?

no they are characters included in Twinmotion

there are also cars and bicycles that drive along plotable paths

and lots of other inbuilt content

    Thanks!

BTW, do you know if animated textures are supported in Twinmotion?  Was thinking if no animated FBX import then maybe as a work around I could do animated billboards using animated textures.

yes you can use avi with alpha

Hitfilm express will render them from png image series

I did some billboards of DAZ people myself

you load it as a texture by browsing to the folder and start typing in the file name then you can see it to load in file.

Oh that is great, thanks for the info!

Wasn't quite sure what you meant about loading the avi texture.  For some reason .avi is not listed as a default file type when doing an OPEN Texture file in Twinmotion, however, if you know the name of the file just type the first letter of the file name and a drop down box of all files starting with that letter will be listed and you can then choose your .avi  (or .mpg) file.  I will have to remember that trick, maybe it works in other apps!

Apparently .avi and .mpg not offically supported by twinmotion.  Problems with exporting Videos of the video textures requires additional fiddling around with.

yes speed changes depending on the format you export to

png it goes very fast about 4X the speed, BIMmotion is ok, mp4 exports they jerk a bit

BIMmotion is like a cooked game btw and you can in options add physics so your player colides and has footsteps, I use it with shadowplay to walk around scenes.

if one has a VR headset one can be immersed in it.

BIMmotion looks interesting, supposedly it allows the user to create an executable file that they can share, allowing the user to view the 3D enviornment created in Twinmotion via an included standalone viewer.  Complaints I see are that even a small scene can create a 11GB BIMmotion file.

the new version is out but it appears they do have an unlimited free trial for noncommercial use

I will not of course link anything, I am unlikely to buy it anyway as I don't have unlimited funds cheeky

I might download this trial later though and render some of my DAZ stuffs in it and post renders

kind of busy waiting for UE4 to import an FBX at the moment which is probably going to take all night!

    edit, update

well looks like I might be getting it free after all for showing early interest, thats nice of them yes

not much solace for all you poor sods who didn't grab it while you could though wink

you can look at my renders for free though devil I shall keep them to this thread, only post ones with DAZ content and not spam the forum kiss
