Slepalex : path to the gorge : superb and very detailed image.

Ghost town : A bit sad, desolate but very well done.

Hansmar : your first render looks like a christmas postcard. Alice : mysterious, is she going to escape from the bubble she's in ?

Dan : thank you for your comment.

Slepalex - another nice render though sad.

Dan - thanks for the nice comments

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,643

Hansmar - Snow terrain with the church and trees looks nice. Alice looks great through your lens.

    Dan - thank you.

The flower challenge reminded me of an image I did back in 2008. Reloaded it, resize it, tweak the illumination and the procedural textures.

    Title: “Monarch Brook“.

Monarch butterfly created in Modo. Plants by Lisa’s Botanicals. Fish by Tucan.

Rendered at 64RPP, about 2 1/2 hours to render.

    Thanks for taking a look!

Mermaid010, Dan Whiteside, adbc, Horo, Thank you

Slepalex: Fantastic work. Quite different from your usual realistic landscapes and wonderful still lifes, but a very good work in its own right. You are a true artist.

Dan Whiteside: Gorgeous close-up render. Very well modelled butterfly too.

I could not stop rendering ‘Alice’. Three more, two from top camera (why not?) and one from perspective camera. In the top ones, there are different modifications to the ‘lens’ and light and ground material. The first one does not have a name, but the second one I would like to call ‘Church spires’. The last one has the lens turned around and modified until I got this view with two Alices seen apparently without obstruction and a middle set of reflected Alices. This one I call ‘Triplets’.

Dan - absolutely awesome render, the butterfly is beautiful.

Hansmar - your lens experiments are very interesting and very unusual.

@ Dan - awesome render. I love the butterfly.

@ Hansmar - your lens experiments are so cool. I like all three images.

    Hansmar - really interesting results.

Dan : superb render, excellent modeling.

    Hansmar : Impressive experiments.

  • I felt like making a rather simple picture with an egg.

Electro-Elvis - simple but impressive, I like it

Electro-Elvis - super work. Both parts seem to fit together. What program did you use for modeling?

    @mermaid010: Thank you.

@Horo: Thank you. Oh, no, it is just Bryce. In the object library, the group "Geometry" has got a quite nice egg model.

    Electro-elvis: Very nice simple work.

Horo, mermaid010, Rieke77, adbc: Thanks. I did more experiments with boolean glass forms in front of the camera. The yellow one I call 'glass cross' and the other one 'purple diagonal'. Pure abstract this time.

One thing you get when being forced to stay home more, is more time for Bryceing. Two more renders, one a new lens-experiment and the other using the mirror-box that I have Horo to thank for.

One is called 'Target' and the other is 'Primeval future'.

I used 3 products for this render- vegetation, the terrain material from Terrain Stacking and Hdri from Object Clouds 2D-3D for lighting

    mermaid010, I liked it.

Hansmar - the lens experiment looks great, like an eye. The primeval future is very interesting and looks great.

Slepalex - the house at the lakeside is a beautiful render, great Arbaro trees.

Thanks Horo. There is only one Arbaro tree, large on the right. I seriously started modeling in Arbaro. Frankly, it is very difficult to understand the ideology of this program. Nothing is clear without feedback, neither evaluate the appearance, nor determine the number of polygons. For verification, you must first export to OBJ and import into Bryce.
