This is a version of the castle with animatable doors and windows

the enhanced stair prop is included

the doors and the windows have installable handles, hinges and cremone-espagnolettes

there's 3delight and iRay materials for the paneled walls

There's a script that greatly helps you manage all this

The castle is modular, so you can load parts of it

fig 1, the real Chateau de Sceaus, which is the Museum of Ile de France

    fig 2 early wip

fig 3 for the record this castle idea started with the need for a balcony rail, then a balcony, then a castle
and the rail was needed to demo the upcoming script which lets you , for example, rotate a character around the wrists

    fig 4 - modularity

comtrary to the real-life castle, this castle prop will have real little balconies, and each balcony has a little roof

so your figures can go on the balcony even if it rains !

fig 3 - the real life castle's front yard is something like 1 Km long

fig 4 - interior shot of the real life castle

fig 5 - what's left for me to do is model this entrance/facade then the roof and chimney , then i post it on my site

.... sometime this week i hope

for buildings you could try the free sketchup

i dont know if my method still works but there are ways to export buildings from the free sketchup to Daz Studio, Poser Carrara

    http://www.sketchup.com/

this video tutorial by me is a bit old but it includes a crash course for sketchup

This is awesome! I've heard of projects taking on a life of their own but from a rail to a full blown castle with grounds is probably going to top the list. I love the girl giving the tour on horseback. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm so glad we have our own parking. I mean, where else would we have to park
if we all come to the Housewarming party with our Amywagens?

i'll probably make the stairs a prop which can be deleted or moved - the rear entrance stairs would be well suited for a ramp
