    Well, the way I did it, I loaded one of the characters, then went into Shaping and reduced them to 50%, then dialed in the other one 50%. Then applied whichever skin.

    I started running a list of all my Core Characters (bought all the Pro Bundles) and unless someone can find them, I think we are missing 2 females (Karyssa 8 and Mika 8) and 2 males (Jonathan 8 and Landon 8). Can anyone find them in the renders posted?

    So far, I found that those used twice: Charlotte, Eva, Gabriela, Jenni, Kala, Kanade, Latonya, Mabel, Monique, Nidia, Tasha, The Girl, Zelara, Dain, Lee, Lucas, Nix, and Owen.

    Used three times: Teen Raven, Tika, Floyd, and Vladimir.

    Used four times: Robyn

    The wonky eyes are in evidence, but here's Karyssa 8 and Sakura 8 in 50/50:

    OK, I'll play...

    Here is Tika 8 & Caryn 8

    Normally I would have tweaked skin a lot! Tika is low translucency setting which still looks awful and the bump is way too strong for close ups.

    I ALWAYS tweak skin so these look awful to me but here is a Mika 8/The Girl 8 Mix. I think Daz original skin is in general a lot worse than PA skin! 

    But I think she's really cute!

    I've never used Stephanie 8 because I just thought she was butt ugly (especially with that hideous makeup) but mixed with Josie, I like her! Even the orange skin doesn't bother me because it looks like a spray tan lol. Very popular here in LA because people want to look tan but not age their skin. So the color doesn't look that weird to me!

    OK, lowered translucency on Stephanie skin, removed normals and lowered bump map and already so much better. And added different lashes. I really like this Stephanie Josie mix!

    Wow, I really like the look of those 2. The top more for some reason, as a really good toon I guess.

    I don't have that many G8 characters, still being mostly G3 based, but here's Edward 8 mixed with Michael 8. Hair is Classic Side Part, lighting from iRadiance Light Probes Expansion 4.

    I find it interesting as we see the quality of the skins improving as the Genesis 8s were released since Victoria 8 was released on 15 June 2017. Of course the toons have less detail, but for the realistic characters, it is breathtaking.

    OK, well I did postwork on these but they are another character that I always thought was unattractive (Tasha) 50/50 with Kanade. I love how she came out! 
     

    With Tasha skin but made the teeth whiter in settings and simple postwork on iPad.


    With Kanade skin. Made lips glossier in settings then simple postwork on iPad.

    I should have used the same background both images. But, Tiki 8 skins are darker More like an island girl or toonish girl with a tan.

    I went back over my compilation and looked at how many times a character was used:

    Okay this is embarrasing, I did him two days ago!

    My next pair is Elios 8 with Lee 8 (I know, used, but I love Lee!) and Sanjay hair. Lee doesn't come with fibermesh brows, so I used Super Natural Brows and then used the sliders to nudge them into place as best I could without moving the camera or character. If you look at the lips on the different renders the lips have different shapes. Odd.

    Really enjoying the 50/50 renders, very interesting! 

    Spray tan Stephanie totally looks like a Barbie I had, growing up.  As for Edie, whether alone or mixed in, she somehow always makes me laugh.  It's like looking at some comedy character actors, at least for me.  I admit, I may be weird.

    I'm just popping in to see what you all have been doing- looks really good!  I'm busy packing troop boxes, I ordered Walmart delivery and things are coming to my house really scattered/ piece meal. So it all finally got here and I was supposed to mail these out a week ago. Headed to bed as I have to take my son to a dentist appointment, he's going to have a root canal Saturday in all likelihood, so we go for x-rays today. So strange, I will wait in the car and they come out and get him. I like that, though.

    I am tired so probably just not thinking clearly- but here's a question. I don't think I've mixed two characters 50/50 before, and used one of the character's OTHER character materials on that combo. For instance, if I mixed Barbie / Ellen, if Barbie had a character named Kendra (lol, couldn't resist) would Kendra's skin work on the 50/50 Barbie / Ellen gal?  What I'm thinking is, it would be fun to do that with the base 8 folks we're using. You can either use the combos you did, and add one of their additional characters materials to them, or render a different 50/50 (still using one of their characters' skins.)  

    Since I normally showcase characters out of the box for you, I rarely do combinations so I don't remember if I've ever split two folks and used a third material set. Does that work well?
