Thank you! That means a lot :)
The package is secure, boss. Ready to move out...
In the void is virtue, and no evil.
-Musashi Miyamoto
I tried out some filter effects. What do you think?
Greeble City
I think this something I can work with - basically just two primitive planes with lotsa shaders.
Troubled
Greeble City II
I have to think about this some. I think the technique can make a nice backdrop for another render, or to complement something more urban.
Intruders
The target: Sub-Facility X-29.
The objective: Reconaissance
The problem: They didn't know they were already spotted. Or that the containment units were already failing.
Devil King
"Do you know where the wicked go after death?"
"They go to hell," was my ready and orthodox answer.
"And what is hell? Can you tell me that?"
"A pit full of fire."
"And should you like to fall into that pit, and to be burning there for ever?"
"No, sir."
"What must you do to avoid it?"
I deliberated a moment: my answer, when it did come was objectionable: "I must keep in good health and not die.”
― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
Good stuff Tobias.
Thank you! :)
I had really wanted to add another row of details to the Devil King, but I was a bit pressed for time, so that's what he ended up like.
I love the dark hand on that pillar- really sets it off. The lighting on this really caught my attention- wonderful job! And of course, Devil King has a lot going on with it- nice job on that background and foreground. You put a lot of effort into that one.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with Troubled, too. The Devil King could have been improved, but, alas, the day only has 24 hours :)
Landscape II
Testing out a few postworking techniques.

I'm playing around with the skin builder, which is a lot of fun; but it takes for - ev - er. Except the eyes.
Also, I don't think it's possible to apply the GenHair to the Gen from the Pro Suite - or indeed the changed skin tone to the Gen (no biggie, really, just something I noticed).
Really like your artwork....nice details that you put in....Trish
Thank you! If only I had more time :)
I just want to note how depressing it is when deviney stuff is on sale. This always costs me money, and then I have to use all these little things I buy. Really, I have to pack up all my stuff in crates, so it can be moved! Have some heart...
I'm working on a somewhat basic portrait which I intend to work over thoroughly in post. This is the very first stage - played a bit with the Skinbuilder (fun!), but not a lot of detail yet.
Annoyingly, DazStudio has problems saving my renders - Render to a New Window doesn't save when I click Save, and Render to File produces a prompt asking me choose a new filename (which it then accepts). Weird.
Render to Window needs a File Name before Save and the Folder set if not set. I use it much more than Render to file.
Yes, I know. It always worked just fine. Now, I have the file name set, the path is set, and I click save - and the preview window disappears, but there's no file saved. Must be some sort if bug.

Thanks! I don't know whether the bug coincides with the installation of something specific.
Anyways, version 2. Coming along, far from finished.
Hazard
created for the Beginners Contest, this version with a tad more postwork.
Pearly Gates
Originally created for the Beginners Contest, but I actually prefer this filtered version - I think the old illustration look goes well with the retro theme.
Upgraded
Because Humanity 1.0 is so yesterday!
Oooh, that last one makes her look so calculating! Nice job. Was cool to see the WIP and how she changed.
Hope you get the "saving" problem resolved. If Jaderail's looking into it, there's hope. :)
Thank you! Postwork is huge fun for me.
The saving thing is annoying, but not critical. Otoh, I can only browse the forum when I'm logged in (or else I get an error message), so I'm used to a certain DAZ wonkíness :)
