Have the downloads appeared? It's listing install types on the product page now, which I gather it wasn't earlier.

Still no DIM or manual in the Product Library for me, and it showed install types on the product page from the start for me, which is why I was surprised by the missing options - I know to expect them (or not, if you like) with the 'connect only' glitch at least.

  • I'm not seeing it in my download manager either.

I just checked my product library again, still no download other than a reference to DazCentral.

  • OK, thank you (and sorry for the slow reply). I will flag this up.

    Thank you Richard

  • Still no update frown

At least in my DIM. Anyone else?

  • not showing in DIM .

If anyone finds the download in DIM, please do post it.  For right now, that fact made an instant buy product change to a wishlisted product.

I keep checking on it, and on another product, while it showed in DIM, fails immediately upon each attempt to download.

Downloads for the shaders just showed up!

10 files, 4.9 GB downloading now; I had two files fail repeatedly, but kept working at it. Finally got all 10 downloaded and installed.

Just the outfit I bought left. File says 0 bytes now.

Same. I had to restart a few of them. Woooow, that is a lot of files and a lot of storage. I shouldn't be that surprised considering how high rez it looks, but that definitely made my HD wince a bit ;-)

  • I have a follow-up question. These materials are quiet lovely, and it was nice of you to include a 2K and 4K texture for each one. One thing I noticed (it may be what you intended but considering how glitchy this launch has been I feel should I ask), every material has loaded with a displacement map, but the displacement weight is set to 0. So far the ones I've tested when you turn the weight up from the 0, the defauly min and max is -1.00 and 1.00, respectively.

Did you mean for these to load like this so we could control the diplacement to our liking, or should they be loading with diplacement maps turned on and different values?

I bought this. I have no idea what I am going to do with these, but it doesn't matter anyway. 6 of the 10 files will not download.sad I may have to return it out of disgust at the way Daz takes our money but can't give us the files we paid for. Maybe they'll fix it in the next day or two and I can keep it. Otherwise, I guess there will always be another sale...

Well I finally got the last four pieces to download and I think it's worth the 70 tries you will need to get it all. I am also awaiting the answer about the displacement settings. But I've found settings I like.

I've tried about 10 times. 60 to go...

That was indeed my thinking. I thought I would default to the "this is just a small thing in the background of a scene" and just let everyone choose displacement. Also, in my tests, I found that different models with different poly counts would displace differently, so there wasn't a one-sized-fits-all displacement setting I could use. Better, I thought, to leave it in the hands of the end user.

Wow! Is it weird that I would eat several of those? laugh
