it's winter where I am and it's cold!
great render... keep posting for those that look
+1
there's a thing with Carrara Challenge, I can't create any image on bid. it usually starts out very simple and then just keeps growing as the fantasy finds its way. But maybe it will work one day if the topic fits my thoughts ;) I'm just a terraformer you never know what it will be like in the end.
Some more portrait attempts. The first is the "as rendered" version with a background and a little sharpening added. The second is a more artistic version. Fun to experiment with blend modes. It's a long road back.
Next i think I'd better texture up some clothes before my wife sees these and get some wrong ideas....
@khoe - some very nice landscape work .... I especially like the one where the V in the mountains are leading lines to the building on the far hill side

Immortal Crypt
Good work on an old product!
I'm impressed with the lighting. What was your process? Was this all done in Carrara?
it's Carrara native engine and light flares on the 60 bulbs zero ambient
but I did interpolate the image series with the Rife AI using Flowframes and edit in Hitfilm is that counts as postwork, the second longer part is interpolated and reversed, you can see some warping from that.
Thanks Wendy! For some reason I have never tried a lens flare with a bulb (always used a spot). An elegant solution for indoor lighting in general, but especially in animation.
Regarding interpolation, I assume that it requires less resources to start an animation with a lower frame rate and interpolate at the end to smooth it out. Is that your reasoning?
Heard of Christmas in July? Wendy brought us Halloween in June.
Well done, Wendy. Really set a mood.
yes, render took 6 hours 900 frames
I interpolated it 8X
I thought I'd try a couple conversions before I abandoned this project and moved on. Used the old v1 of Topaz. The skectch is close to my original concept and the other is an experiment to do an old painting that is in serious need of cleaning and restoration.
yes I agree it's awesome :)
that's a really terrific image Ted
Thank you, Headwax and ronweedart. Khoe has been setting an extremely high bar for landscapes. Great stuff!
Here is a bit of fun with some M4 and Xerr. More Xerr is always better.
video inspired by some MidJourney ai renders I have seen on Facebook but done using Carrara
with Deepdream style transfer and EbSynth video transfer on right
A portrait to keep the thread going. Non-animation, regular intelligence. And an approximation of what it would look like in Rollei Retro 100 Tonal. And first texturing with FilterForge.
had a blockade in terms of 3D for a long time. It just didn't want to work. Finally it was time again. The title is After the Impact. kind of fits the times. However, the figure is a photograph and inserted as a 2D image.
Well done! Grit, anyone?
yes, great job
Lookin good !!!
Ha! The Carrara Challenge finally has big lizards as the theme... and you you stop rendering big lizards!
Excellent and creative dystopia, though.
well, when I'm creative, I can't take a certain type of picture on command. It has to grow in me only then it will be good. :)
When everyone is doing dinosaurs or dragons, I usually do exactly the opposite. :).
Great images, Wendy, Grimmvald, and Khoe!
+1 on that
awesome!
no particolar intention, only a lot of fun and a good song to work with
that was pretty cool... enjoyed watching it
thx :)
unfortunately YT compression sucks
Bitchute is a little bit better (picture-in-picture mode way better)
https://www.bitchute.com/video/fCKIIyKXJStj/
mostly focused on matching music and motions/animations
+1
Valle Alpina looks great!
half temptation to make a fly-through :)
