If I'm seeing http://www.daz3d.com/i13-modern-loft correctly, it's only for iray? What does it mean when it says optimized- does that mean won't work in 3DL? Or a lot of tweaking?

Be sure and note the popup- 15% off (additional) on the Pose Builder Genesis 3 Bundle (19.25) or the Converter. Those are also on this page

thanks Kerya- that answers that, eh? (There you go Trish :) )
Man, discounts are really stacking up. There's so many it's making my head spin. I'm not sure how these are working.
If you buy Victoria 7, you can get the discount on the gift card if it's in the same cart.

According to the email this morning, there's still the Summer Savings, so if you are close to a punch breakthrough, you have to weigh whether it's best to pick up those items individually that are in the bundles BUT are the Summer Savings discounts also applied to the Genesis, Genesis 2, and V4/M4 section discounts? (if you have qualifying items which make you eligible for those discounts.)

Because seriously, if you are stocking up on Genesis or Genesis 2, getting into the next punch section could make a big difference. There's 3 texture sets which go with the items in the Pro bundle, so if you got those you're tooling right along.

BONUS SAVINGS: Get an Extra 20% OFF tomorrow’s new Victoria 7 items when you buy any of the following items + an EXTRA 15% off previous generation items listed in the section below.

So would that be the Summer Savings punches PLUS the extra 15%?

Well. Interesting. Promo art looks very yellow and rusty in some images. Pro bundle is expensive.

    Good morning SereneNight :)

They have added face and body morphs to the store- but not bundled. So I'm waiting to see if they're going to do that. I've been up all night watching this evolve. Been interesting. The Commons thread is overwhelmingly going with "we don't need a new figure right now" and I'm more of the attitude that if she has incredible bends and posing, bring her on! But I seriously don't care about ears bending lol. The other reason to buy is the incredible discounts for the Genesis and Genesis 2 users. Stock up on those things! (And V4/M4)

I'm going to go snooze and see how the prices are/ what they've added after folks get to work at Daz this morning. Anyone buying new Gen 3 feel free to post 'em.

The ear bending gets more interesting if you remember that there will probably some creature morphs ...

I picked up the pro. Not keen on one of the outfits, the genitals, but the value is better as you get the hairs and characters.

I always think the punch thing is pretty strange when you buy a bundle. V7 pro is only worth one punch. LOL.

Heads up- if you get to a new tier (which I did deliberately to increase discounts) then LOG OUT. Come back in- otherwise, your new tier savings might not kick in.

    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58089/

I got the texture sets for the pro bundle, one expression set, and Subcutaneous Implants to boost me up to the next tier. Keep track of the math. All that was $35 BUT my discounts for new items / old items is now 15% new releases (I was at 10 punches, took all month to do it so really wasn't too hard) but 30% non-new releases.

    So next step...
Add the Pose Builder Bundle (with the additional 15% now in place) so 34.95 went to $18.18 as it started with that 15% off for previous owners) and discounts start stacking. PLUS you get an extra 20% off tomorrow's V7 items, PLUS right now an extra 15% off the Generation items. (Keeping track? 15% from Pose Builder, plus Summer Savings (mine is 15%)

"30% OFF MORE ALL NEW ITEMS FOR VICTORIA 7
BONUS SAVINGS: Get an Extra 20% OFF tomorrow’s new Victoria 7 items when you buy any of the following items + an EXTRA 15% off previous generation items listed in the section below."

NOW buying the Pro Bundle, the morphs (now down to $8.31 each, were 9.78 at 51% PC) Pro Bundle is now around $56
That triggers the discounts in the Genesis 2, Genesis, V4/M4 section PLUS the 15% Summer Savings stacks

NOTE: Am I seeing this right? It doesn't show the pro bundle or starter bundle or V7 in the section that will get you an extra 20% off tomorrow for V7 products. It only gives you the discounts in the Generation section? There's two sections on that page which confirm that!

    30% OFF VICTORIA 7 – DAZ 3D’S FIRST GENESIS 3 FIGURE
UP TO 83% OFF FEATURED GENESIS 2, GENESIS & MICHAEL 4/VICTORIA 4 ITEMS WITH PURCHASE
7% OFF GIFT CARDS WITH PURCHASE

Does NOT mention getting discounts the next day of 20% on new V7 items. That's a shame.

and then the screen shot of the Generation categories only pertain to the categories, not new releases the next day.

So anyway, with the Pose Builder Bundle being in the section that will discount products tomorrow, it's a good choice (20% is a good deal on top of the discounts tomorrow. And heads up- they are not keeping that 15% for previous Pose Builder owners around forever, not giving a time frame either. Get it while you can.)

So after you have a qualifying item(s) from that section in your cart, THEN shop the Generation section.
For me, examples of prices: (vary depending on the Generation, they are discounted differently)
    10.95 is $2.61
    14.95 is $3.56
    16.95 is $4.03

Lost in a Labyrinth is 15.95 down to $2.85!

    HEADS UP
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58084/

If you're trying to get to the next tier, it should be easier for you if you bought the body/face/expression morphs. Those were supposed to be in the Summer Savings section. Hmmm, that would add three more punches and with two more, I'm in the NEXT tier. Supposedly they are working on crediting people with those punches now (about two hours ago) so log out and back in again and see if those are there if you've already bought them.

EDIT: wow, it's worth it to me to take everything out of my cart, get those three plus two cheapies, and get another 5% off new added (so 20% off) and another 10% off old releases (so 40% off.) This is insane. (Still haven't bought the Pro Bundle or pose bundle, so those would have another 5% discounted to get 20%.) Off to take everything out of cart.

Another good reason to get punches to next tier:
namffuak posted in my thread over in Commons that the punch gift card discount stacks with the other V7 promo discount on gift cards.

Dont get discouraged with the render time with Gen3F. Bald headed, only a 1000 pixel render, 4 minutes 7 percent then zoom- 6 minutes 28%
then 30 seconds later 34%. So once it kicks in, it's moving along nicely. (12 minutes 52%) (80% in 16 minutes)

    But oh my goodness.
I wanted to use the same lighting (Merlin's Oak, with tweaks) that you've seen on the past few renders, so we could compare. (On Gareth, and Ryder on Gareth.) Forget that.

This chick requires deep blues and greens to even show at a decent skin tone or else she is red. Now, at first I thought it was because of this particular light set, but there's already a commercial product showing a new iray set coming out and it shows the iray default is somewhat ruddy that comes with V7. (As you know, I could care less about iray) http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58115/ So unless it's only me, get ready for some lighting shocks when you try to render a G3F that isn't red.

Will post baldy in a few minutes. :) Anyone else who has rendered her- what 3DL light setup did you use?

    Say Hello To Victoria 7

Here's one with two tweaked versions. The last one has yellow, blue, then cyan added. The very first one is the same as Gareth/Ryder but all lights changed to green and blue- quite unreal!

If you like this (and keep in mind your computer might show it at a different color than it is based on your settings- on mine, this is a good variation of more natural skin colors than the red that was showing with neutral whitish lighting) then try this color combination: (if you have Merlin's Oak, load it. You'll have to change all the settings, but the placement will be there. You'll have to add a Distant light if I recall, the one that I have below which is to your left and front.)

    Uber 179 / 200 / 190 95% (med-lt blue)
    spot 116 / 138 /102 48% (yes GREEN)
    distant 136 / 134 / 117 42% (gray-green)
    huge linear point 157 / 150 / 150 (blue gray- fairly dark) 161%
    2nd distant front and our left side 167 / 167 / 167 (medium/dark blue) 37%

:) Hope it helps. The first one is the settings above without tweaking in contrast/midtones/shadows, etc. Out of the box my settings. The second has contrast and some tweaks, the third has the hue tweaks mentioned in the first line. However, when you do contrast in Corel Photopaint (the second image) it does add yellow.

I think to have this gal in a scene with Genesis and Gen2F, I'm going to have to blue and green her skin. I don't want to have a red woman with my natural looking ones. I'll test other light sets some other time (going to do expressions for you.)

Oh my. Might want to check the teeth on V7 as they glowed so white with the Blox that I changed back to Merlin's Oak. These are the Cupcake One V7 Attitude Expressions. You can mouse over the render to see which one is which (aka it will say "Decided" at the end, or "Happy."

Take note: Teeth diffuse changed to a gray 209/209/209 and Specular to a blue and I think the gray could even go darker but I'll leave it like this for now. There will be five in this post, here's the first two. Rendering more now.

Continuing on with the expressions. I think the first one, Secret, could also be "Calculating." It sure looks like she is plotting something evil!
I personally don't like Skeptical, mouth looks more like someone who has had a dill pickle. I think if the bottom lip were moved OUT a bit, it would be better. (it's the second render.) Three more coming.

EDIT: BTW, the first free Gen3F item is listed- by Karth for Platinum Club. It's a nice shirt (shorts are really short, but heh, free!)

Wow, that's a weird page link for Krayon Hair. Is that supposed to have the 135 on the end?
Aithukaya's lights used, darkened them slightly. Fun set! I thought the title of this should be "The Tourist" or "The Model." She's certainly posing for a photo! Did you notice her calf muscle? She must exercise every day. The bends are really nice too.

Can't upload. First time I'm being told this: (and it's only a 1300 pixel render. Tried different format, including png. No go.
Anyone else having problems? What's the max?

The uploaded file exceeds the maximum allowed size in your PHP configuration file.

I have to leave so not sure if I'll be able to post this or not later.

This is Adaline showing the Expression morphs. (At least I assume those are the ones that are in Scene>Head then Parameters >Poses>Expressions.

The first is Bereft (that's how it is spelled) 100%
Bored looked best at 53.4% in my opinion. Thought 100% was a bit too extreme. That is the second one.
    Next is Confident 81.7%
Confused 87%. I think it would really be distorted at 100%
Last in this group, Contempt at 100%

Okay, so the next is a combination of some of the previous 5. Rendering now, I think you'd like:
Bereft 52.2% (NOTE: this is the one to use to pull down the right side of the mouth. When you see the render, that is the Bereft influence)
Bored 24.4% is going to be the pull the eyebrows slightly together influence
Confused 42% will pull the right eyebrow up and open the mouth.
    Will be the first render.

    Next:
Here's Confident 81.7% which raises the eyebrows and corners of mouth for a smirky smile
With, believe it or not, Contempt at 43.5% which makes the frown and pulls the left side of the mouth

For some new ones, here's Desire and Disgust, each at 45% and blended together. (A funny combo, right? Opposites.)

Fourth one is Drunk 100% (I mean, what fun is drunk if you don't go for it, eh?)

I do find the expressions mix a bit softer (more realistic) on G3F. The last render is too small to get a good read on the face, but it's easy to make her look like she is about to speak or thinking about it.

    I find lighting v6 with 3delight a bit of a challenge.

I find it a LOT of a challenge. Ruddy or muddy, take your pick :blank: I think I might change the skin.
I will say this- I was not a fan of Adaline (bloodshot eyes) but I think you might like her a bit better than V7. Have you rendered her yet? I'm doing a closeup of the previous one with Rievel Hair so everyone can see the hair and expression better. 40 minutes and 24%, it's a closeup so slow going. (1 hr 15 minutes 35% but almost done with hair.)

BTW, yesterday's items had a PC item (the Murder poses) that will get you a discount on the featured stores (20%) and then the tiers stack. Somehow I missed that yesterday. (Yesterday's still working.) I don't know if you buy yesterday's now, that you can get the discount on todays items- (the 20%) Does anyone know? (Doesn't apply to me, I got something yesterday so there's no way to test it.)

The Cyria outfit would make a cute swimsuit without the belt area. Did you render that one SereneNight?

So here's Adaline with Rievel 2 Hair.
I've had to add cyan in postwork for the hue, I think I really will have to do the lighting to suit Genesis and G2, and then tweak the skin of the G3 figure to work with the lighting of the other two. By tweaking the skin, I mean the diffuse/specular color.

V7 looks better to me with her Sss turned down 50 percent.

One thing I notice with Adaline, is when you apply the head shape it applies a figure shape as well. Are you noticing that too Novica? Also, have you tried the skin in Gen 3 starter essentials yet?
