Oooh, I made a good choice! :) Thanks for showing him. I like that he looks like a typical guy, the nose isn't perfect but really adds character. What appealed to me first of course, were the eyebrows. Anyone who hasn't used their make their own bundle might really want to give this guy a look!

Gareth to me, has very handsome features. I really like the fact that his eyebrows aren't crawling up his forehead which happens a lot with gen 2 males. Plus he is very easy to render, and even though he is high definition does not take up a lot of resources.

I added one bald option to the previous 3 so you can see more details of his face.

And I believe that's Gareth over on your thread in the sci-fi outfit? :)

Kudos to EmmaAndJordi for making one click removals for the different hair adornments in Xandria Hair. Each piece has a thumbnail and you click and it poofs. You can also eliminate the tails (which I did.) I changed the white diffuse to 117/101/79 to get the hair to match Natalia's eyebrows a bit better.

The Cute 'n' Playful Poses for Mei Lin have several fun poses which are also good starting points for other poses. Some of the options are:
Applauding, Begging, Blowing A Kiss, Call Me, I'm Number One, I'm Sorry, Pretty Please, Skipping and Saluting. (There's more.)

City Chic top has three material zones. Check out the shirt. It's the DG Shader Essentials 3 for the shirt and pants. The collar and waist band are tile 20, the shirt is tiled 4. The pants are woven 20, which looks black in the thumbnail but are actually a navy blue.

So I'm playing a bit with shaders. The i13 Expose Pin Up Set has WONDERFUL drapes. I didn't do shaders on the floor or drapes (floor not shown.) Those drapes are the default with the set. Really like it!

Natalia seems easy to light and she can be quite sultry. You have a strong light or less light choice for the skin mats.
CLICK TO ENLARGE, CLICK AGAIN. Large render.

As you requested...Totally Bazaar, rendered just for you. I used fabrics from the Africa collection on the head wrap, beads, shirt, dress and belt. I made no attempt to be historically or geographically accurate. I just picked what I liked.
    The models are:
    Ryze for Gianni 6
    Felicity HD for Victoria 6.
    The clothes are:
    Yakuza shirt
    LNA Basic Wear Mallorca Outfit

Lighting is from the River Road HDRI from HDRI-HUB. It is free, released under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.
The background image is cropped from a photograph I took.

Keeping the City Chic shirt as the shader experiment, this is still using DG Shader Essentials 3. The first one is Shirt 51, I think tiling was 4.
    Next is Shirt 4.
Then Shirt 31 (the green) with tile 2, and the neck and waist are tile 8.
Edit: Added Shirt 31 with a different bump.

I think the fun thing about Fabricator is putting things together, whether it's an accurate representation or not. And that lighting is beautiful- thanks for letting folks know about it.

I'll have to play around with those clothes if I have them. I like those with shaders! Thanks for the idea, and appreciate the time you took to show us the fun you're having. You are now an official member of the Hooked-On-Totally-Bazaar-Club. ;-)

Okay, book authors. Scot has posted the latest news from Amazon. It's titled: Amazon Changes Kindle Unlimited Payout Method
    http://authoradventures.blogspot.com/ then go to Blog.

I'm researching all the ins and outs of flowable format. What a pain. SO much contradictory info out there, and as Scot mentions, Amazon's guidelines aren't updated in some of the sections. I did learn something interesting- if you are thinking about doing fixed format, on the Kindle forums I learned you can not have a "look inside" feature. That kills a lot of sales if it is true. (And it was posted by the #1 poster.)

One thing to keep in mind with Marieah's shaders.. a lot of them should convert pretty well but she uses displacement a lot, often using the same map in displacement and bump channels. So if you apply all the options you want and then convert to Iray uber, take off the displacement and raise the bump strength as needed and it should look a bit more like the original.

    Thanks Fisty!

People are telling me about different marketing tactics. I'm the 40% off next order, someone else got the get any Daz Original for $1 as long as it's $18 or less. Both offers came in the email (the second one was sent out today I think, mine was yesterday) so be sure and check your email and also your Messages (I got the email yesterday and the message popup today.)

    Happy Shopping.

    http://www.daz3d.com/day-at-the-beach-bundle
is still free. (Going through Daz Originals)

BTW, if you do have the 40% off, consider the two rotating banner sections with products a bit more closely- if you get an item from those sections which have the discounted stores, the discounts STACK. (aka, 50% off then 40% off.) Also has associated products which are discounted that stack. Example: $45.95 bundle goes down to $13.78, $34.95 is $10.48 etc. I am assuming it is not a glitch that these are stacking. My items ended up being about 70% off, averaged $4.54 apiece or less. Many under $2.25

Okay, this is AWESOME. See what the latest in video gaming technology is headed. Minecraft folks will LOVE this. Wonder if we'll ever be able to call up our 3D models like this?

Trust me, this is amazing. Start at about 1:10 to skip all the rah-rah stuff.

Liu Yan HD for Victoria 6 and Mei Lin 6
NJA Ponytail Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s)

    http://www.daz3d.com/snapping-asian-interior-construction-kit

I hid the ropes by the shoulders on the Misaki Kimono. The hair renders in a decent time and Liu Yan has nice texturing- like the different splattering of freckles/darker spots on and by the nose.

The background is one of the screens from Snapping Asian Interior Kit. Lots of options with that to use as backgrounds, and they are all individual sections so you can close the eye in Scene- you don't have to go to Surfaces to zero out the opacity. Nicely done!

    Lighting is from:

EDIT: Added second render so you could see more of the kimono.

Dione Unicorn Girl HD for Victoria 6
Edwardian Hair for Genesis and Genesis 2 Females

You can further use this character to have a unicorn horn and if you own Minotaur, you can also change the legs. But give her a look for a normal character too! I like the Edwardian Hair, it renders at a nice rate and is very pretty. (24% at 25 minutes, so about a percent a minute for only the hair.) I did add a few strands of highlights, but it's pretty much what you see is what you get.

With Dione, it's easy to change the ruddiness/yellow/blue of the skin by only using your lights. She's very versatile.

I had 5 punches (from when I got 40% on top the 50% if I bought a new item, so bought new items) and then applied the $6.00 off for Daz Originals in the PC+, so the $54.95 Callie and Cory in Space was $26.93, then the 5% whacked it to $25.59, then the $6 off made it a very nice $19.59 for the 5 items.

I'm not using the belly button cutout outfit (looks ridiculous to me) but I like the Georgy (nice to have more Callie characters and she has decent eyebrows, not penciled on), I like the Retro Space Suit, and Ryder will be fun with the other toon characters that I have which are from 3D Universe.

So if you have punches, don't forget your PC+ coupon for Daz Originals to whack another $6 off! (Yes, that one DOES work on new releases.)

Neftis is Flash Sale, and also check your emails as there's one with a discount code. The email will say What Goes Around Comes Around. Since they disperse these emails at different times during the day, you might get it in a couple hours if you don't have it now. Excludes the usual, including new releases, can't be combined with other coupon codes (I always wonder why they put that, you can only enter one coupon code!) , gift cards, PC+.

So if you have punch discounts, I assume it will work with that because the cart does those automatically and you don't have to enter a code.
The code is for 10% off next purchase. (one time use.)

I like Ryder except the flat quality to the eyes at least in the one promo piece. I will be picking him up. I don't really like toons in general, but he has a less anime quality and looks less weird than Cory, so I will likely find use for him. I also like the retro sci-fi outfit for males and textures.

I haven't been playing the punch game. I think I may have hit 5 at this point don't know.

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,887
    edited December 1969

Yeah, I think this is the first time I stopped doing punches to get punches. It was due to the 40% off which stacked and there were two things in two different promos (that then had featured stores at 50% off) that I wanted. It shows your punches on the promo page (not very noticeable though!) and the 5% is cute, not a big difference, but I wasn't shooting for that so it's a little "gimme."

Rendered Georgy for Callie 6 and posting next. Merlin's Oak has interesting night lighting.

I don't like the punches because of the no return policy, and yeah, I can opt out, but that seems like so much fuss.

With new items having less or no 3delight promo art, how am I going to know what I'm buying?

The Ashleigh Jumpsuit looks classy IMO, and I really love the texture set! Fiora Hair rendered at a nice speed, but can't tell you how long it took as I was snoozing while it rendered. Large image, click to enlarge/click again.

This is with Merlin's Oak lighting, the night setting which has a campfire (keep that in mind if you need that lighting.) I changed the campfire from yellow to a ruddy mauve. EDIT: it was400+ intensity, this is at 161.6%. Check out this for a tanned skin color to slightly darken blue or pale skin: 182/161/134
