The camera is within the Ruin (from Daz 3D 2005), in the distance the Castle by Herminio Nieven. The trees, the grass, the plants are all Bryce trees, the bird Macaw Perch by Noggins (once available at Daz 3D). Ambient light by an HDRI, the key light by the sun, the fog is just Haze. Rendered with True Ambience.

    Hazy View

NOTE: I added two free sets to my website: 1. Hall (Raytracing > Resources > Objects the objHallSet - fourth from top). This is a Bryce made set to create a hall of any size, an exampe is shown here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7606286/#Comment_7606286 and 2. the HDRI DecoClub (Raytracing > Resources > HR-HDRI(S) the DecoClub - at the page end) which I used as a specular convolved one (also included) here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7642421/#Comment_7642421. I hope you find them useful.

Great render! I just discovered Bryce and wow, it looks extremely cool for scenery. I wonder if there is a way to incorporate Byrce into my Daz Studio workflow. The ability to use such incredible scenery in the background with my Daz Studio environments would be awesome!

CEL Shading and Drawing Effects combined. The terrain is from the Crater Construction Kit (author unknown) rendered several times, except for TIFF4816 (free on my website under Documents) to convert a render into a terrain, everything was done in Bryce. First CEL (Contour Enhanced Lines) Shading after Stylised Rendering and then after Drawing Effects - Specular Method (PDF on my website under Documents), finally all renders in the Materials Lab combined.

    Drawn Scene

Oh that is COOL! I'm going to have to figure out how to do cell shading in Bryce!

That's a gorgeous painting! I love the tone and "feel" of the image! Nicely done!

    Hansmar:
    - Two beautiful beach scenes. Great moody contrast with the different lighting and atmosphere.
    - Great mysterious scene in Sikenik's Cathedral.
    - A cool and wild SciFi scene.

    Electro-Elvis:
    - That's a very lonely travel. I hope that it will reach the distant shore. (Whereas rats are usually not appreciated guests on tropic islands.)

    Horo:
    - Oh no, you have "ruined" that scene! Teasing aside: A beautiful image with magical atmosphere. Apt for a fairy tales book.

3Diva: Welcome! Am looking forward to your images. :)

@Huro Thank you very much for the link to the tutorials and for the warm welcome!

@hubert @mermaid010 @adbc Thank you guys! That's very nice of you to make me feel so welcome!

This is not a 100% from-scratch scene. It started out as this (from the "Bryce 7.1 Pro - Golden Lighting" product. AWESOME product by the way, Horo!):

I modified it and turned it into this:

So while it's not my first "official scene" since it's a modified version of someone else's scene, I did learn a lot and I'm looking forward to taking what I've learned and applying it to a new scene all my own. (I hope I didn't offend anyone by modifying an existing scene - if so let me know and I'll remove it.)

3Diva - a beautiful render. Don't worry about using the source files, almost all my renders start with a file which I modify from David and Horo's products.

Horo - I am getting a corrupt archive reading for this download HDRI DecoClub

3Diva - nicely done scenes. As mermaid said (wrote), don't worry about starting with existing scenes. It's always interesting to see how other artist interpret, change and adapt a scene. I also use old scenes sometimes and change them to something new.

mermaid - strange. I just downloaded the DecoClub zip, unzipped it and opened all 4 files (txt and 3 hdr) without a problem. Try again and if it doesn't work, tell me.

Horo- okay I try again, I tried twice yesterday, maybe I need to clear the cache.

mermaid - the zip is 22 MB (22,881,218), if you still have issues, tell me.

The stars were made in Incendia by David Brinnen in 2015, here they were made thicker und given a simple material. Background and ambient light by an HDRI and the key light by the sun. Rendered with True Ambience.

Horo - wow a beautiful render, the stars/snowflakes look awesome. The DecoClub opened for me, not sure what caused the problem in the 1st place. Thanks for the freebies.

    3Diva : wonderful scenes.

Horo : Great render, beautiful lighting, love the stars.

mermaid - thanks for reporting back, good to hear DecoClub finally works for you. Thanks also for your comment on the snowflakes - better name than stars.

    adbc - thank you.

3Diva: Two beautiful scenes, great tweaking. The first one with the ruins looks mysterious. The second one is serene and has a very moody atmosphere.

Horo: Winter is coming! Nicely put into scene, cool lighting.

Inspired by a render by Clay Hagebusch from 2011, a sphere with a self made material and around it, a bit moved to the back, another sphere a bit bigger with the shape modified by Displacement and a glass material.

    Glassy Sphere

Here the anaglyph, I couldn't help to make one.

Could you show materials structure in-details? Thanks

Horo: Nice mat and render! This thingie (in real) would be a beautiful paper weight.

Thank you hubert, adbc and Hansmar.

Past as Future - thank you. Below the materials for the inner and outer sphere. The inner sphere size is 116 BU, the outer 118 BU and it is 7 BU
farther back so that a part of the inner sphere looks through the glassy outer sphere. Remember to set Render Priority to Low as long as you work with Displacement, otherwise Bryce crashes most of the time. Once you do not open the Mat Lab anymore, you can set Priority higher than low.
First image is inner sphere, second outer sphere. Click on them for full size.

A self made terrain with a modified material from the "High Resolution Terrains 1 set". Sky and ambient light by the "ErmClouds07_SD" HDRI from "Gritstone Hills" and the key light by the sun.
