Hansmar - thank you.
mermaid - very nice winter picture.
The picture in the signature was lost around the 20 November when Daz tinkered with the forum. I had lost mine too (but had a link called Image and clicking on that brought me to the main site). Here is what you can do: Upload your picture, click on it and copy the full URL from the address list of your browser. Then go to your signature:
Forum top right, click on Blue Cogwheel > Your Name > Blue Cogwheel > Edit Profile > Signature Settings > My Signature > Enter Picture Link > Save then it should appear again.
Thank you all for the comments.
I have been away for too long, I see lots of incredible good stuff here!
Very inspiring.
We'll give the valiant crew of the Erasmus some well earned rest for a bit.
mermaid : lovely winter landscape, great atmosphere with the snow.
Rembrandt : beautiful new picture of the Erasmus, I like the sky.
A winter scene.
Rembrandt - very nice scene and the sky gives it a great mood.
adbc - beautiful winter scene with very nice sky colours.
The terrain is from High Resolution Terrains 2 with a material assembled from Terrain Stacking and High Resolution Terrains 3. Sky and ambient light by the Wasteland3_SD HDRI from Islands 2; the key light by the sun. The object was modelled in INCENDIA_NEXT and given a material from the library.
Horo : thank you. Again an excellent terrain landscape with a beautiful material. Great sky and clouds.
Thank you adbc.
Horo:
Your landscape image on page6: Impressive terrain work. Great job with the snow.
Your image above: Beautiful! I like the soft sky and also the terrain with the crisp mat.
Mermaid: A nice Christmas card.
Rembrandt: Beautiful silhouette work and a great fiery sky.
adbc: A chilly place. Nice composition, lighting and snow mat.
Sorry double post
Horo – thanks. Regarding the image for the signature, I can’t believe how unobservant I am, I only realised a few days ago that the image is missing. I went to the profile as you explained and somehow by magic, the image was back. Thanks again.
Another outstanding landscape, the atmosphere and materials are perfect.
Rembrandt – beautiful sunset, love the clouds
Adbc – thanks, your image is also awesome, beautiful sky.
Hubert - thanks
A space scene from the Deep Space Hdri 2 and an anaglyph.
hubert, mermaid : thank you.
mermaid : excellent space scene, beautiful coloured sky. The anaglyph is very well done.
hubert - thank you.
mermaid - thank you. Also glad to see that you managed get your signature back.
The space scene looks very good, the anaglyph brings the object very far out of the screen.
Thanks Adbc and Horo for the nice comments
Rembrandt, Great evening scene with the Erasmus.
adbc, What a lovely winter scene, great sky too!
Horo, Beautiful mountain view.
Mermaid010, Very nice space scene. Looks like some giant lost his ring in space.
Thank you Hansmar.
Thanks Hansmar
Hansmar : thank you.
An alien fantasy landscape. "Alien night"
Wow Adbc - excellent work, the lighting and setup is awesome.
adbc - oh, that sci-fi scene looks extraordinary.
Triple stacked terrain with materials from High Resolution Terrains 1, 2 & 4, Landscapes under Fantastic Skies and Terrain Stacking. The fog in the hole from Environments - Inclement Weather. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Grand Mountains, the key light by the sun.
I couldn't help to create an anaglyph as well, but without the fog in the depression and less haze.
adbc, Excellent scifi render. Ready to use as a book cover.
Horo, Wonderful terrain.
I used a terrain from the terrains under fantastic skies with a HDRI enhanced sky, for which I did not use the HDRI as background and I added a cloudslab from Cloudscapes 3.
mermaid, Horo, Hansmar : thank you.
Horo : fantastic mountain view and beautiful anaglyph.
Hansmar : outstanding landscape, awesome sky and clouds.
Hansmar - thank you. Great landscape, I like the dark sky.
adbc - thank you.
Horo – excellent work once again, the anaglyph is awesome
Hansmar – a superb render.
Another Island render from the Island set by David and Horo and a render of the same image using the aspect ratio –Rembrandt used, I was impressed by his renders and tried it.
mermaid - thank you. Nice island render, the 32:9 render looks very nice (got to click on the thumbnail to get the correct aspect ratio). I think I should try such an aspect ratio, too. I'm too much photo camera oriented with 3:2 or old 4:3 and screen 16:9 or 16:10.
mermaid : lovely island render, beautiful result on the 32:9 aspect ratio.
Thanks Horo and Adbc.
I tried the 32:9 aspect ratio Rembrandt and mermaid used in a simple landscape picture. It renders faster ;) The forum stretches the thumbnail.
Here is the 16:9 aspect ratio render. The terrain is from High Resolution Terrains 2 and the material from High Resolution Terrains 1. The galaxy is from the Space Construction Kit. Sky and ambient light by the Coloured3_SC HDRI and the key light by the sun.
Nothing changed, just the aspect ratio. Click on image to view in full size.
adbc, Horo, mermaid, Thanks. Most of the hard work in creating the landscape, sky and clouds was done by Horo and David Brinnen. They make it easy to create a nice render.
Mermaid, I like both your versions. Good idea to use Rembrandt's aspect ratio.
Horo, Very nice comparison. Great renders anyway, but the additional width (also of the landscape itself) does add something.
I re-rendered the last landscape but with a different sky.
Hansmar - thank you. Your new render also looks very nice.
Horo – beautiful landscape, both versions are superb.
Hansmar – super re-render, a small change makes a nice difference, thanks for your comment.
Another re-render of an island using the 32:9 aspect ratio, this time I used a Hdri from the Deep Space 2 instead of the original sky. The original render can be found here.
