...yikes, gotta get a move on. Got lots of freebie cars to play with.
Well, at least they don't walk! They look quite pleased with that fact, too. :) And with their ride.
Dana
Throwing them of course...back at you! C'mon LG lets get her!
...but for that you need either Banana Creme or Boston Creme.
...so do trucks and buses count as well?
Nope, sorry, KK. That was actually answered by Rob early in the thread. SUV's and vans were okay, but nothing bigger.
BTW, Rob, if you're still out there, glad to see things are working out on the home front. Best wishes. Aaaaaand, if you're really stuck for judges, I guess I can throw my hat in the ring, although I do have an entry that I might as well withdraw if judging, I suppose. Also, I don't have a clue what will be expected, but I guess its a little late to worry about that now. :)
So I guess we are closing in on another month. Loads of cool entries here.
NOTICE! WE DO NOT HAVE ANYONE TO HOST APRIL CHALLENGE. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO PLEASE PM ME. IF NOT, I WILL HAVE TO HOST IT AND I HAVE BEEN REAL BUSY IN REAL LIFE. SO PLEASE SOMEONE !
music.
I am willing to host in April but I could use some help.
Rob came up with such a great theme for March but I have not been able to think of anything for April. Easter is too early in the month so I have been trying to think of something else.
I do not want to hijack Rob's thread but I could use some ideas.
Tuesday, one minute before midnight Utah time (since Utah is home to DAZ3D).

Thanks! I'll add you to the list of judges.
I've already done the mechanical work of ensuring the entries follow the Challenge rules and are on-topic, so you can use whatever criteria you like when judging.

Is there a song with a memorable lyric that you can turn into a Challenge? That's what I did this month.

Thanks Rob. I think I have a theme. :-)
That is assuming no one else wants to host April. I am willing to step aside if they do.

I would have offered but I am already "Volunteered" to front the April NU contest, plus I have the Bryce challenge to supervise as well

Why not just "April Foolishness" as a theme. Render something foolish or silly.
...not too difficult for me as that is what I usually do anyway. Just more challenging with all freebies.
(pops in)
(sees no new entries)
(preps the pies...)
(pops out again)
Oh, oh!
Dana
I can help with anything needed with challenge and I guess be again judge for the next month. Btw I also need to be beach manager and prepare things for this summer so I am guessing that I will be busy from now on till end of summer but will be here and follow this with interest. Will send my votes soon. Good work everyone, lots of really good entries this month.
Kismet2012 will be hosting the April Challenge. Be sure to go there.
An under-the-wire entry, as thanks for ear-Beatling me every time I visited the Freepozitory. :)
This was also my first chance to play around with the new IRay renderer.

Undeclared
- Genesis
- RAMWolff Morphs for Genesis and RAMWolff's Bruno skin -- apparently these freebies are no longer around :(
- AndreaC's The Street is likewise unavailable now, though given its age that's not surprising.
- I don't know how fussy people want to be about this but the van retexturing was done in GIMP using free tiles and brushes. :)
Ok, I will.
Well, not quite under the wire - you still have (looks at clock) a bit under 18 hours...
As long as the re-texturing was done before the render (which I think is the case), you're good.
ENTRY ACCEPTED
I have to admire your courage in posting an entry using Beta software, katfeete! :)
Out of curiosity, what lighting setup did you use? There seem to be a few fireflys on the rear of the car. Unless those are stone chips that are supposed to be there? :)
Nice. She looks out of his league, in just about every way.
Dana
I noticed those, too. I figured they were on purpose, road damage...as well as what looks like what might be bird poop. :)
Dana
Five hours to go!
And let's give Kismet2012 as many entries as you gave me this month... ;-)
Here is my last minute entry (assuming is gets posted in time.)

Title: "Coasterphobic's Nightmare"
My idea was that man is having a nightmare that he's in a car that is running down a roller coaster track and he's trying to get into the front seat, hoping he can apply the breaks to slow down before it's too late.
This is my first time sharing my work and would appreciate feedback.
Nice! What an imaginative use of RR track and a bridge! Very creative! You might want to zoom in a little bit more so we can see the expression on his face better next time.
Welcome to the Freebie Challenge!
Dana
Well, just over an our to go to the deadline. I will not be at my computer, so I'll wish all the entrants good luck now!
Dana
Welcome to the Challenges, and to the forums!
All your links check out, and you have enough of them. You've given an intriguing twist to the theme, too.
ENTRY ACCEPTED
This challenge is now officially closed.
With fifteen entries, I'll have some decisions to make once all the judges get back to me. (Early returns show a trend, but I haven't made my choices yet...) Stay tuned - I trust I'll post the results later today.
