    Yes you could built a suitable layered shader in Carrara. What you can't do (that you can do in Daz Stidio) is to save a partial shader so that you can apply the make-ups over whatever skin your character has. So with Carrara you would need a separate shader set for each skin that you have. The numbers quickly mount up!

    Yum! I do love pizza!

    One thing I absolutely love about the idea of partial shaders is how we can Ctrl + Drag things throughout the shader (to copy the dragged property) as well as from one shader to another.

    So I often just double-click a shader from my browser to bring it up in my Texture Room to copy parameters over to the shader I'm working on.

    With Multiply, Mixer, Multi-Layer, etc., it's easy to simply drag (or Ctrl + Drag to copy) even entire nested shader channels into a single source.

    Again... I just love how easy and intuitive Carrara gets the more and more one uses it.

    A killer fairly-new pizzeria north of here makes extraordinarily delicious pizza.

    We filled many tables and ordered many different pies. One that I didn't think I'd care for that much (though I knew I would at least like to taste it) was called the Fun Guy (several types of exquisite mushrooms with cheese) - it turned out being my favorite of them all!

    Time to strap it on, folks.  PC sale has just started.

    I just re-upped the membership yesterday.  Now I will - once again - be eagerly grabbing tons of items that I will likely never use.smiley

    But boy, they sure are pretty!

    There is a free bundle with 8 Jack Tomalin buildings, and I didn't have any of them.  I guess that's a sign that I am still new at this PC plus stuff.

    Some nice submachineguns as well.

     I know DAZ bought it outright, understand how these things work, record producers do this with Songwriters too!

    Yes, I'm not sure whether to be cross (I could have saved a lot of cash if I'd waited!) or glad that at least I've had a few month's use out of them already. I got both on initial promo - so at least you should have got some benefit from that. Lovely sets - hoping for more, hint hintlaugh And an absolute bargain now for PC+ folks who don't have them already.

    Alina has arrived. Not native to Carrara, but I'm sure the shape morphs and texture maps can work with Misty's G8F-for-Carrara character set.  If get Alina for G8F as new release, can get extra discounts on lots of PC items, which often work natively with Carrara.
