    i never tried hdr for indoor scene.  Rhino would trample my xbox laugh

    One back light (more of a Side light) plus the HDRI, which was a new test for building HDRI - still experimenting though

    There's one in QA, which was rather slow cos of life & stuff. But the one after is cracking on, and I hope to have it finished by the end of the year . . . smiley

    i went for hellborn dragon in today's freebs, will be interesting how he looks in rara. assuming he's a he, hell hath no fury like a dragon dude scorned devil

    You will have to optimize your own shaders, but the hellborn dragon should be fine in Carrara.

    Many here already have this, but I'm seeing Filter Forge 6 pro on sale for in the mid $30 range, with qualifying item, discounts and coupon.  FF7 has just come out, but this still seems like a good deal.

    I'll probably pull the trigger and purchase tonight - even though I have no idea where I will find the time to learn it.sad

    I hear that. I got FF5 for free a short while back and only opened it once to check it out. I really liked what I saw, but I have a lot of texture-creation tools that I'm already comfortable with, and a lot of others that I've collected, but never got fully acquainted with. Like Genetica - I love it but almost never use it. Howler has become my big go-to for most image-related stuff. Maybe because I've invested so much time into getting into it, it has become such a right-hand to me. I can pop in and do pretty much exactly what I want... done.

    Either way, though, I've never felt that I have too many. Filter Forge looks really cool and I'm glad to have it. I also really love having Genetica, even though I only have Basic, it's a node-based, procedural, tileable image creation system. I've never really used anything else like it.

    There is a large freebie set in the free section  Dark Ops Ready To Render has V4, M4 clothes, hair, and background sets.  Worth a grab if you don't have it.  There are several things in the set I didn't have.
