Thanks , it is not easy to tweak the colors as that have to be balanced so picking just a color does not working with PBR rendering and this shader.. I will use the same colors for my eyebrows and hair that I am working on and BTW the shader working on eyelashes as well

but with 3Delight you can do as you please ..no restriction any color working ;)

Well, I reckon this one will be an Insta-buy. Even though I've been using the Genesis version on G2 with no problems whatsoever.

Hey, it would be worth it for just not having to tweak the colors until they almost match the hair...

I'll just put it out there... if you made something like this for eyebrows, I'd probably buy it.

(I've been making eyebrows with LAMH, but having a stable, integrated product with simple dials would be a big win)

No kidding, there is like no support for eyebrows at all so it would be great if you (MEC4D) could do this also.
I know Unshaven for G2 is definitely on my wishlist.

Having finer hair is a big appeal -- the unshaven beard is awesome but can look a little coarse compare to hair. Loads of new styles and shaders is gilding the lily. Heh.

Are you eventually going to do unshaven for the body too ;) I autofit the G1 hairs also when needed ;)

Thanks guys, I will do new body hair also

bellow some previews with Uber Environment and 3Delight rendering took 2 min to render , the funny thing is that the Iray shader rendering better and faster than the Uber shader in Uber environment
I set the hair on 56% fine hair no subdivided

so if you render with 3Delight using the new DAZ Studio use the Iray shader and if you render with the old version use the 3Delight shader

I'm so excited for this! Out of curiosity, those hair shaders you made for this beard, will it work on other hairs? Either way this is an instant buy for me!

YES ! it include 251 morphs from what 48 are visible the rest is working in back stage for you while animating ;)

YES the unshaven hair shader will works on any trans-mapped hair, all you need to do first update the hair with included converter then copy the shader from the beard and place on the hair surface and it will match with the beard or eyelashes .
I don't have any male trans mapped hair so I load gen2 base to show you the result
the best would be to keep just the alpha maps and bump maps and say good bye to to diffuse textures as it include wrong color data and highlight you don't want in PBR rendering ..

LOL sorry the only way to show you how the transmapped hair match the beard, Unshaven will not working with expressions on G2F as it need another base setup and morphs, so just for show off

Here is test with the PBR unshaven hair shader on trans mapped hair, no textures was used just colors and PBR hair shader , as you see the light paint the highlights based on environment lighting ...
The shader function is to create different shades of hair based on the volume so how more layers your trans-mapped hair have how better the effect as with Physically based rendering you should not cheat with the settings or your surface will not blend and you get less photo-realistic effect
test renders have 500 samples, Mode: Photoreal , render time 2 min with GTX760 how more samples how better the effect

    Very excited about this. ;)

I mean, Unshaven Beard is already awesome (and hey, bearded ladies), and will still work for longer shots, but ...

Oh hey, it occurs to me that the shaders for Unshaven2 will work for 1, so extra value!

Thanks ! the Unshaven 2 set is in testing mode .. so now it depends of the time
btw bellow are previews of the styles , I set them on lower poly level for faster rendering as it took me for ever for all the renders , you can set them as fine you like with the tools

You will fine a different color cards, Green background mean hair can be set fine and subdivided also, Purple mean hair can be set to fine but to keep the kinky afro texture I would not sub d it unless you want and the same for the red backgrounds cards , use the tickers values if you render characters back in the scene, it will reduce rendering time and noises , make them finer and thinner more for closer ups , for regular portraits 50-56 % fine hair is good , facial hair are little thicker than eyebrows or scalp hair .. bellow one more preview as it does not fit in the last post .

You will find also Style called Fake Beard, it is good to use it with human Sculpture style renders .

    MEC4D,

I was curious if you have plans for some braided beards and mustaches, like for vikings and dwarfs? I love the interchanging concepts on this product and look forward to purchasing!

    thanks!
