I caved.. Couldn't find a good free model of one of my favourite cars - the Porsche 904... replaced the wheels/tires with ones from the 3dclassic set, as I thought they worked better than the originals.. Retextured it as well..

Cool looking car, for sure!  So, where did you get it?  I bet it was expensive, since you said, "I caved."

    Nice work

When I was a kid every farm had one or two vehicles in that condition somewhere on the property

Not seeing "ole' Jake"...all I see is a broken image icon and a big empty space.  sad  I see all the other images on the page, though.

Looks like Dreamland Models is remarketing his 39 Ford again, while I like that it now comes with iray material settings, I still have his original version of this car and don't feel like paying for it again!

Contact him.  Maybe he'll give you the materials...if it's only a re-introduction with the iray materials added.  Some vendors are nice like that.

I"ve communicated with him before, he's a pretty decent guy, he might, but his original is also still for sale over at Rendo!

So its possible he may have updated that one as well, I would only have to redownload it.

Thats possible also, however, for those of us who actually bought the car back then, he was only making stuff for Poser and Vue, obviously he has changed his attitude toward DAZ!

I have so many of these 58 Impala's, I have a freebie I had found somewhere online, (and had to put the model completely back together), then I have a really nice model from Schurby, then this one from Nationale7, aka 3D Classics.

    Oh Good Grief!

Hmm I don't have the missing image icon in Music's post and I can see the render in my post I'm using Chrome don't know if that matters

Just tried Chrome...no icon and no render, either!  If you do a hard refresh, is the image still there?  I'm starting to feel picked on.  frown

well.. If you reply to the message with the broken image, using the quote function, you cab find that the missing image is linked to :

https://www.daz3d.com/forums/uploads/FileUpload/52/f033fa3704c30f388f40944f1b93b6.jpg ; which gives up a  404 not found message

so I suspect its a server issue...or that the image got deleted somehow

Probably a case of inserting a larg version of the attachment into the post, then deleting the attachment. The link is pointing to the attached file so it cannot be deleted.
