I'm no gearhead, but I'd say start with the mechanical and save the paint job for last.

What exactly is that?  It looks a little like a bran new Corvette I saw today.  Really nice looking.  I asked the guy what it set him back, he said, "$60,000...But it's worth it!"

That would certainly be a big part of it, but it usually starts with teardown and rebuild from the frame up!

Yep that one came complete Army Surplus with two bullet holes in it and bad tires

  • hacsarthacsart Posts: 2,025

That’s character.. I can remember seeing a surplus Triumph TRW still in its crate at our local army surplus place.. sadly I didn’t have $150 on me at the time...

  • The days of deals like that are long gone I paid $100.00 even for the WLA

  • hacsarthacsart Posts: 2,025

    Yeah.. the ULH was $100...

how did the WLA turn out.. I bobbed the ULH

  • It was great I had it about 95% restored when wife stole it during divorce proceedings and had it crushed with help of boyfriend judge and lawyer

  • hacsarthacsart Posts: 2,025

    Now that sucks...

  • Big time was a very nasty divorce as the only thing she didn't destoy or want was the clothes on my back how ever it didn't turn out all bad as she didn't get everything she wanted in the end due to her boy friend judge being on vacation court day her big mouth and a fill in judge whose wife had just taken him to the cleaners
