Yellow Pen: A beautiful landscape. -- My favorite is the 2nd version. Its soft sky creates a dreamlike mood.

Took me awhile, but here goes. Render 6_1 is the original, I changed out the sky with different preset I have on the rest.  On 6_5 I hide the volume clouds.

Well done S Ray.  My faves are 1, 3 and 4.  Very pretty.  Thank you for trying out the different skies.

S Ray, you have a lonely island here.  Why not enter your favorite into the contest?

Thanks all. NGartplayThis image has been posted before So it's a no go for the challange. But I do have an idea for Lonely Island, just don't know if I can pull it off.

Wow Hansmar a superb set of renders.

Hansmar, like 1a and 3a on the dinosaurs the best.  Your landscapes are beautiful.  Like the use of snow in the one.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,636

Hansmar - another two sets of great examples.

Hansmar : two sets of impressive renders.

I've been reading and loving the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons. The River Tethys running through numerous worlds connected by farcasters is an image I can't stop thinking about! Who know's where you'll end up when you take a trip down the river.

Slight terrain edit between the scenes, planetary positions, camera position + FOV and HDRIs. The "brown" scene is HDRI from Enhanced Skies pack with no extra lighting. The space scene is HDRI with sun enabled (coloured light blue) and some radial lights

benbr11, both of these images are beautiful sci fi looks.  I don't know the Hyperion Cantos but I'm sure that you captured the feeling well.

benbr11 two fantastic sci-fi scenes well done.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,636

benbr11 - two excellent fantasy scenes, both are interesting to look at. Well done.

benbr11 : fantastic fantasy scenes, both are facinating.

    Hansmar:
    - Cool dino scenes! (My favorites are "3a" and "3b".)
    - Six great landscape variants. (I like the terrain mat and the water of the first one.)

    benbr11:
Two impressive and well done otherworldly scenes! -- (I read "Hyperion" and "The Fall of Hyperion" around three years ago. I too liked that fascinating concept of farcasters spanning over multiple worlds, connected by an endless river.)

S Ray, Hansmar and benbr 11: beautiful scenes all.... I love your playing with the light. Very well done.

Mermaid, NGarplay, Horo, adbc, Hubert, Yellow Pen, Thanks very much.

Benbr11: what a great set of visualisations of this fantasy-scifi theme.

I still can't upload images to the forum but there is no problem uploading to the gallery.

Here are some variants of the Rocky Island I entered in the last challenge

Lighting from Deep Space Hdri 2

Exotic Hdri for Fantasy Skies (available at Bryce-tutorials)

    Landscapes under Fantastic Skies

Unfortunately due to the new interface at Pinterest the images get cropped.

mermaid - all three look very good, I like the second most. I know uploading here takes patience but sometimes it works. Try at different times of the day.

mermaid, simply gorgeous skies.  The first picture is dark but I love the sky in it.
