Andy goes on space safari and meets with his holographic Self. It soon turns out to be a rather annoying holiday trip because the holograph never shuts up and keeps talking on and on. So Andy decided to have a small chat in private. Somewhere dark. You know... No tape recordings, that sort of thing.....

Fettbemme - very cool scene, great idea for a hologram.

The bench is from Alan Armstrong, Victoria3, the Chomper and the Toon Alien are from Daz 3D and the grass is a Bryce tree inspired by SlepAlex with my own material. Background and ambient light by the unpublished PfaffPond HDRI and the key light by the sun. The Toon Alien is introduced to the Fairy by the Chomper.

Wow! Some awesome artwork.  Y'all impress me every time.

Back in 2016, I did this render using some items from the DAZ store.  I was experimenting with light rays and interior lighting and, I don't know if I made it look realistic, but I was pleased with the results.

Last September, my Ukrainian friend, Tanya (Таня - in Russian) was able to take her first real vacation when she and two friends visited the Carpathian Mountains.  Every day she sent me pictures of the day's events and little did she know that I was preparing a surprise for her.  Using the previous Bryce file, I added some frames and some pictures she sent me and other objects and sent her this on her return home.  She was absolutely thrilled and that made me happy.  She even shared it with her friends. blush

She and I speak every day and I help her learn English and she helps me with my Russian.  What's her favorite thing I say to her? "Ты самая красивая женщина в мире" which is, "You're the most beautiful woman in the world."  angelwink

    Thank you Fettbemme.

An abstract. Attached to the camera the Gigantic Wide-angle Lens and the camera is within a partly transparent and reflecting torus in which is a thin torus with a material from Stylised Rendering. Light and colour by an HDRI from Hyper Textures Base. The diagonal angle of view is 300°.

Fencepost52 - I just missed your renders, we seem to have uploaded at the same moment. Two nicely done renders of a room. Nice to hear about your Ukranian friend. I had visited the Carpathian Mountains, but that is more than 50 years ago.

I love this abstract, Horo.  I have some strange fascination with a torus and have dozens of renders of them, some which I've posted in the past.  It's very well done.

Thanks for the comments.  Hopefully one day, I can visit there.

fencepost, I love that you surprised your friend with such a pretty picture.  The lighting is perfect.

Horo, absolutely beautiful how the cameras distorted the lines.

Fettbemme - very nice scene, I like the hologram effect.

Horo - very charming, cute picture with fairy, the abstract is outstanding.

Fencepost52 - both images are great, I love the idea for a gift.

This is similar to the one Horo did a while ago, page 44, but mine is a cheat; I used a file from Hdri Scene 1 files, removed the banking (Z rotation to 0) and a sky from the Hdri Captured Volumetric Skies.

mermaid - now that one came out very beautiful.

A self made terrain with a material according to the Specular method (see PDF on my website (horo.ch/docs/mine/pdf/DrawingEffects.pdf). The monochrome one uses the WhiteSphere HDRI for Specular (no HDRI Effect) and negative Specular from the sun to enhance the contrast.

    Drawn Ridges Monochrome

The anaglyph of the scene above.

    Drawn Ridges Monochrome Anaglyph

Again the same setting but with the Rainbow HDRI to generate the Specular, the rest is as for the monochrome version. Rendertime for this size below 1 minute.

    Drawn Ridges Coloured

The anaglyph works even with the rather colourful terrain and sky.

The objects were made with Incendia_NEXT and given my own material. They stand on a Shadow Capture Disk from Hyper Textures Expansion. In the background a transparent 2D-Face with a self made pattern for the lines. Light and colour by an HDRI from HDRI for Fun specular convolved in the Sky Lab, additional light and specular by the sun.
