Hi Sonja! Thanks for giving me a headsup about your render here. very nice!

This is Zyanya for V4.  Anagennisis on her skin - @Marshian 's rim light rig. Full sixe is definitely recommend.  The original is double the size I loaded here.

@Marshian you are most welcome, this light rig is becoming a very integral part of my workflow!

I like your book cover, the two colors of blue contrast really nicely and the scene has a wonderful energetic feel. Very nicely done!

    Thank you very much Novica!

This is Alondra for Monique 8 with Pascale hair.  I think she is just stunning.  Great skin, great hair.  Marshian's Iray Rim Light Rig for the firelight rimlight on her skin and KindredArt's Ghost Light to help light up her face. I cropped this, because I'm not sure it would meet the nudity restrictions here.  You can see the full render on my Deviant Art account (in my signature)

Ever have one of those nights where you've worked on something for at least a couple of hours and it just refuses to come together, but you still keep going because you've already spent at least two hours on it?  Ya, that's my night lol.

I 've had those, more than I care to have. though soemtimes its better to let it sit for soem days and do something different, which then might end with it never ebing touched again...

What are those chains she wears? I've seen the full version some days ago on da and was thinking, it looks nice but I guess its painful to move with it :D

    Great lighting, wonderful pose.

I had my eye on that hair but alas, my Daz budget is severely reduced lately.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

    Thank you LIana!

@Dracorn You and me both.   My wishlist has grown exponentially but my library, not so much.  I've cut way back, and the Monique pro bundle was in and out of my card all day.  The only reason finally bought it was because I had none of the Monique 7 pro bundle and I could use my Daz coupon.  And the hair was one of the triggers for a bigger discount so pretty much paid for itself.  I passed on the Olympia 8 bundle which I really wanted as well, and haven't been able to purchase a lot of some of the really beautiful stuff I've seen the last several months.   I will say though, that hair is a trully stunning piece of work and I am going to get a ton of use out of it. I'm glad the PC sale is almost over its been kind of painful to pass on some of the stuff, there has been some really great stuff and really good prices.

Quick test  of the Water Temple that was recently added to the PC+ items.  Its really quite beautiful and the water renders very well for being a 3Delight prop rendered in Iray.  The Pterydactel's did not hold up as well though. Might go through and work on those textures in photoshop at some point because the model itself is still nice.

Oh the water temple does look good.  The critters, not so much, at least the one that is not flying.  What do you mean by fix the textures in photoshop?  Sharpen them and such?

  • LinwellyLinwelly Posts: 5,947

I was considering the water temple as well but had no immediate use for it, so I needed to use the rest of my budget on stuff I had aleady wishlisted. But good to know for the future.

The flying pteris don't look bad, the sitting one has a bit of origami style ;)

    What is that mountain background?

@Worlds_Edge  No i'm going to take the texture maps and fiddle with them, and see if I can get them to look more textures and three dimensonal. Have to look in my texture folder and see if I have any reptile skin or feathers I can maybe work into them

The mountain and the sky are from TerraDome3,  I used the background section (B) because I was getting a horizon line at the water line.  I ended up liking it better with the mountain than without.  The mountains led to the Pteradactyls....

Sonja, how  do you like terradome3 for making backgrounds, terrains, and such? I have been debating getting it to make some of my own. I have a hard time finding what I need most of the time.

@Liana, I really like it.  There is a lot of versatility and you can use the different parts separately or together.  For instance, the land part comes in two parts A and B.  A is for the foreground, B is for the background.  I used B in the Water Temple render.  It also has a water prop and a bunch of HDRI skies as well as a haze prop.  I use the skies alone in a lot of renders.  They have some nice add ons for neat shapes for the land as well.  You can make mesa's mountains, canyons, lakes etc etc.

Great! I have been debating getting it and I can get it for a good price right now. Thanks! :)

  • I have that Wild Dreads Hair but I've never gotten any renders that I like with them. It's a shame, too, because I like the idea. I might have to try them out again, maybe play with @dracorn's settings. I really like how the Water Temple looks. I can't believe I've never picked that up. It's on the wishlist now. I may pick it up in the future. You did good with the temple, but I agree about those pterodactyls. That one that's sitting just looks very wrong, very boxy and stiff for a bird-like creature.  The ones in the air look much better geometry-wise. As for the textures, maybe play around with a nice leather-like texture?

Yes, I was think reptile skin maybe.  Will have to play with it a bit and see what happens.  The actual prop isn't bad, but the textures aren't doing it any favors.

Now that the PC + sale is over I am back to trying to render my content in some kind of order so I know what I have.  There are a lot of things in my library that I have forgotten I have!  I will still be rendering my usual, whatever strikes me at the moment stuff but I'm going make a real effort to go through what I have in some kind of order.  Having said that, here is Freya for Olympia 6. I love the scar option for her lip it gives her character.  Its an option though, you can render her without it.

    Freya by Belladines

Anjou Hair for G2F & G3F by AprilYSH

Dainty Earrings  - These have gone missing from the store (seems like a lot of that is going on lately!) so I can't link them for you.

A little teaser on something that is coming soon from Darwins Mishaps.  I have to say this may be one of his most versatile characters yet... I can't even stress enough how awesome his make ups are, and since they are LIE you can layer, you can use other sets that use LIE so your make up options are pretty much only limited to your imagination.  Super cool character

Nice renders. I have to get around to just rendering things I have too. I think with Thanksgiving I will get a bit sidetracked again. :)

Thanks!  Yes, we are in full on Thanksgiving mode, everyone comes to our house for dinner so pies and stuffings are made today as well as the majority of the cleaning that didn't get done at the beginning of the week.

  • LianaLiana Posts: 1,035

I get out of pie making, stuffing, and a few odd things. Yea, my favorite job cleaning... not! I am going to get a helper with the rest of the cooking. My niece wants to learn how to cook so, we are doing the turkey, small ham, potatoes, buns, gravy, and fruit salad.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

My daughter (24) did most of the actual cooking, she told me she was going to make everything this year.  And I came home from work last night and she had cleaned the living room and dining room and vaccuumed the whole house.

She's been helping with Thanksgiving dinner since she was about 5 so she does know how to do it lol

  • LianaLiana Posts: 1,035

That is very helpful for you then. Your daughter is very special. :) I helped with all that stuff when I was younger, but my sister never did and her kids either so they are clueless. Why my niece wants to be here and help out. :)

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

Its really nice that your niece wants to learn!

  • the teasers are killing me! lol Darwin and Shibashake both posted teasers too. The makeup options look amazing on this chick! I also really like the eyes in this one. Great renders!
