Unless you revisit images in the Gallery to see follow-up comments, I'd like to thank you for viewing my image. I'm pleased you see the dynamics of the characters. It's also quite rare for someone to visit after a month of it being posted. I love the whimsical style you have. I, a wholly practical person, has trouble with whimsy; so you are a refreshing view. The DAZ galleries can be a fickle venue, so this is a new start. Your comment prompts me to upload more of my work, but I tire of watching my "children" slide to obscurity.

Keep posting here, Spit, I love your work.

You're welcome, Steven, and thanks for the nice comments here. I rarely visit the DAZ galleries and you really have to keep up daily as is the case at other places too with renders flying by so fast. In the beginning I was one of those who'd go there and only see a twirly thing on the screen. That's been fixed but I never got into the habit.  I have to admit that many of the images I have seen are inspiring--they make you want to try harder--but others are just, well, intimidating. I've just been hanging out in the Commons when I have the time.

You had mentioned using Loik in some stuff so I wanted to see. The image you have there I like very much..the dynamics of it just popped out. Yes, please post more images.

I was also very surpised and, well, very pleased that you somehow found my "Poppies" and made such a kind and encouraging comment.

The image is special to me.

    Thank you so much.

I do find inspiration in the Galleries, more often in the forgotten images back pages than the headliners.

I'm not a photorealism fan, so finding images like Urban Future is a rare treat.

You're welcome and thank you. It spoke to me even from the thumbnail so of course I clicked. More, please.

This is the type of render I enjoy doing the most. Though this one is new, I may pop an older one in here and there as time goes by.

Currently my favorite grounds to use for this type of pic are any by eArkham. He has a few packages here at DAZ. Muelsfell Hagswood and Muelsfell Vile Mushrooms for two. I don't remember which one I used here.

The trees are by Poisen at Rendo, the basket of mushrooms from Faveral's Medieval Market, and the creature is Loik from the magical Nursoda at Rendo.

    3Delight render...enjoy or scoff or ignore..whatever.

    what a nice render

i like this pics where you can watch and watch still finding things new

    now

how did you get this kind of stereoscopic effect it has to me ?

    btw

so tired of all the high rated boring portraits

    trying to catch realism

Just for you, Spit, This one never made it to the DAZ galleries (only 1:25 ever do). December 2015 I cleared out my gallery and decided to start fresh in 2016. I have always seen Loik as an earth elemental or sprite. So I added some horns This was made with DS 3.x long before they had iRay.

A little like the original Zygote gremlin which I loved to pieces. Very nice concept and render. I could have stayed with Studio 3 a long long time with no regrets.

Okay....I've not had much of a chance to play in Studio lately. I did load up and make a scene with RawArt's "Woody". Hit render and after waiting for all the texture map optimizing, I waited some more then realized all my surface work and lighting for 3DL was being rendered with iRay. I had forgotten that the last scene I rendered used iRay. I scrapped the whole thing because I wasn't going to wait 2 hours. I'll start over at some point.

So here's another older render that's really not too old. And I think i did show this in the commons but I don't keep track of the threads where I posted so here it is "anew"......I love music so maybe I'll add a second much older one where music plays a part. For the second one, it's a tiny render. All I could find at the moment but I have the scene somewhere--this was done with Studio 3.

  • Seeing your renders, Spit, makes me want to dig out some of the characters that I have which are similar.  I don't think I would do as good a job, though.  I love seeing your renders.  This one with the trees is especially nice!

That looks like a serious discussion is going on between those trees and that sprite.

  • So many lovely renders with so much detail in them. I wonder what the conversation with the trees are all about.

Great depth in this image, too (just like your "Go Back" image). The interplay is perfect between the foreground elements and the background - bravo!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much everyone!

The little sprite is Anceata (of Anceata and Semil) by Nursoda. She's actually a bit larger but I thought it looked better after I scaled her down a bit. And as for the story I think Ruphuss covers it well:

"if you cannot behave well i call my dwarven friends and they will hurt you with their big axes!! So now !! Attention !! A BIG SMILE for me please......."

I think sawdust was mentioned as well. laugh

  • Just love Nursoda characters! They are amazingly unique.

At one point there was a rumor that he was looking at Genesis and trying to figure it out. Kali/Kelm, Anceata/Semil, and Muggie/Nos would be a good fit because the pairs are each based on a single figure. But nothing happened and he has slowed down considerably. The rumor may have been false, he may have thought it wouldn't work for him, or he developed something that was rejected. We'll probably never know. But I look for something---anything---new from him every day. Sigh. Hope he's well and may just be busy with something else more productive for him.

I'm relatively new to finding his characters, but I'm slowly buying more.  They are just so unique and adorable.  So, far, I have Vila plus add-on products, Eepo, Bonga and Bong.  I have most of the others on my wishlist, but I'm really looking forward to Kali and Kelm coming on sale someday as I REALLY like those characters.  However, you I love what you did with Anceata so I'm sure they will pop into my cart at some point.  I did double check my wishlist and Anceata and Semil are on there.  Kena is on the wishlist, too, because I think she would look good in renders with Vila.

I had noticed that there hadn't been any new characters since I 'discovered' him, but just figured, like a lot of vendors, this might not be his only gig.  I do hope there are more characters coming down the pike at some point.

    edit: misspelled Kena's name: fixed

    Heh.

Now you see one of the reasons I haven't posted to the DAZ gallery. Where's the DAZ stuff? laugh   Actually it's usually all over the place and I get more here than every other place combined. It's just that it usually turns out my favorite pics have some Nurosda in 'em.

Okay, this is all DAZ stuff. Trini and Noodles and Oskarsson's The Photo Room. Except I don't remember 'who' Trini is.

  • I love Trini.  So far, she has turned out to be one of my favorite characters that came out last year.  I think she was one of the very first sort of plus sized characters to come out.  Not sure how well she did for Lynoness, but I wish she would do a few more like her as she is cute as a button.

Thanks. I don't purchase very many characters so should remember so I feel bad. I did a search on her name in my content and came up empty.

Trini was a Lyoness figure so she has an LY in front of her name.  She also came with a bundle with an outfit by SloshWorks which I did not get at the time.  Of course, I've since decided that I like the outfit so I'm planning to get that some time in the future.  I'm not sure what dress that is that you used on her, though.  It is very cute on her.
