    Hi.

Can you descrive what is the issue? Also please post screenshots of the settings in the Modifiers tab and the Texture Editor showing the loaded texture. Finally, a test render showing the issue would help/

    Thank you.

A bit strange,   I uploaded a Screenshot, but it vanishes. I will upload it here again,  hope, this time it will be successful.

I hope you see the picture file.

Thank you. The images are very clear. I can't see anything wrong with the settings. Do you see any error message in the Log tab of LuxRender?

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 1,888

I don't think anything is blocking internet communication but I will double check, thansk for reply!

Anyways, today I got lucky and was able to render V7 with Reality : )

Those are fantastic images Toyen. I prefer the color one but they are both striking.

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 1,888

Thanks a lot! I wanted to do more color variations with switching between the film response options and adjusting the RGB/temperature channels but unfrotunately luxrender crashed. It happens to me sometimes when I go too crazy with adjusting the image, it crashes. So I only managed to save 2 images : )

Just wanted to jump in here to let Paolo know about an issue just found with Reailty.

Reailty has just been found to cause an instant crash in Daz studio when deleting the Null from this light set:

    You welcome!
Being one of the first Physically based rendering solutions for Daz, it's least I could do.

The only "red" entry in the logfile is this:

    [2016-03-16 06:41:32 Error: 41] Couldn't find color texture named 'GenesisMale_21556-36311:Lips_dermis_hairmask_tex1'

    The rest is "green".

    Hi Bookie.

Have you tried increasing the NM strength to something like 200%

Yes, I tried it with 150% strength. The IRay render on the example image is set to 1 (100%), and it shows up very well.

I meant 200% not 150%. Have you tried that?

Made a quick new render, and 500% shows the effect. Very strange using this high value, but it shows up, thank you.

    Glad that it worked.

    Cheers.

Toyen, I was thinking that you could make a tutorial on the lighting that you used for your V7 images. I'm sure that a lot of people would enjoy it. Maybe posti it at deviantArt.

    Just a suggestion :)

It's really simple, just two reality mesh lights. Stronger one on the right and low intensity one on the left. No enviroment or sun lights.

The biggest trick to good looking image is choosing the right film response filter and taking advantage of all the other adjustments you can make in lux render as it renders : )

I always want to write down which film response I use on every image but I always forget it : )

Anyways, here is an interior render. Bit grainy because I had to stop the render.

Also at the moment, I am unable to resume rendering of reality scenes. Every time I try to open the scene again in luxrender to continue rendering, I get an error.

Can anything be done to fix this issue?

  • pcicconepciccone Posts: 661

    What is the error?

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 1,888

    This is it :

[2016-03-23 18:10:57 Error: 14] Static loading of renderer 'luxcore' failed.

  • pcicconepciccone Posts: 661

That means that you are using the wrong version of Lux. Did you install Lux separately? If so then you have installed the wrong version. There is no need to install a different version. Simply execute Lux included in Reality and you will be all set. Look in the Reality directory, there is a lux sub-dir there.

    Cheers.

Picked up the free lightset but not sure where to drop the file into?

  • pcicconepciccone Posts: 661

If you mean the Perfect Shot Scene, that is just a Studio scene. You store it wherever is convenient for you. You use it as your start scene: open the file, add a figure, clothing, hair etc. and then press Render in Reality.

    Cheers.

Okay great.  Still being very very cautious about what files go where in studio lol.

So I downloaded the latest upgrade but I am still having the same problem : ( The Reality plug-in just doesn't see the Genesis 3 figures.

I have opened a scene where I've loaded Genesis 3 Male, Olympia 7, Aiko 6 and a stairs prop.

Reality only sees Aiko 6 (G2F) and the stairs prop.

No matter which Genesis 3 model I try to load into the scene, they never show up.

I'd love to be able to render with Lux and Reality again!

Is there really no solution to this? : (

It's not that there is no solution, this issue does not happen to anybody else, otherwise we would know about it and we would have fixed it.

Can you please post in our Troubleshooting forums provideing all the details of how you add the Genesis 3 figure and all the information requested in the Troibleshooting forum. That will help me understand how your situation differs from others.

    Thank you.

Hey there, I've had some trouble with login to the reality forums so I hope you don't mind if I post it here. Here is the information.

DS version: 4.9.2.70 Pro Edition (64-bit)

    Reality version: 4.3.0.16155

Lux version: Couldn't find it but I suppose it is the one from the latest update so 1.6 ?

    Not using GPU acceleration.

    OS: Windows 10 64-bit, Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.318)

Products in the scene: Genesis 2 Female, Genesis 3 Female, Genesis 3 Male and a simple prop.

Screenshot of the issue is in my previous post. If you need to know anything else just ask : )

  • pcicconepciccone Posts: 661

    Hi Toyen.

What are the issue in logging in the forums? Do you knwo that we moved to our website? Please let me know, I'd like to solve that issue.

If you please, describe the exact steps, in excrutiating detail, that you perform to add the G3M model to the scene.

    Thank you.

I think I may have written down my login information incorectly so that's why I wasn't able to log in at preta3d.com, nothing serious I think so you don't have to worry about that : )

Anyways, I made a screen capture, nothing too special really. I am loading the figures via Smart Content by double clicking.

You can see that this time, not even the Genesis 2 figures show up in Reality.

Also sorry about the loading taking too much time, I have had quite a few programs running at once so it was lagging : D
