Thank you. You can retrieve the loging information for the forums, if you need me to help, please send me an email and I will take care of it.
So, why are your Genesis 3 figure come completely white in the scene?
It's just that I have smooth shading turned on instead of textured.
OK, have you tried deleting Reality completely ( http://preta3d.com/wiki/doku.php?id=uninstalling_reality_4_studio_edition ) and then re-installing?
Yes I tried that in the past several times and that didn't fix it.
You can confirm that you have deleted the files both in the C:\program Files\Reality_DS folder and the plugins\Reality folder inside Studio?
Yep I deleted them from both places. I've had several versions there so I deleted all of it and installed just one : )
I would suggest then to rename the ~/Documents/Pret-a-3D/Reality/ACSEL.db file, just to make it go away without deleting it, and then re-install Reality.
What name should I give it? or it doesn't matter? Also, just the one? I have several files in there.
It doesn't matter the name, renaming is to make it go away. You can delete it, if you did not create your own Automatic Presets. All the others are backups from the installation. You can delete them all.
Deleted all the files and re-installed Reality, didn't work unfortunately.
Then there is something in your system that is interfering. Try disabling all AV/Firewall software and see if that helps.
I disabled my anti virus software and firewall but that also isn't it.
I'm sorry but I don't have any other idea. This issue has not being reported by others and we cannot reproduce it. It's something specific to your configuration but I would not lnow what that is.
I understand. Thanks for your time : ) If anything new happens I will let you know!
I appreciate it.
Oh my god, I think I figured it out!
It looks like it was the Octane Renderer Demo for DS that was interfering with Reality. I just disabled it and the figures now show up.
Thank you for letting me know. I have no idea where the conflict come from, since we don't interact with any other plugin and Reality really works in isolation.
Here's my latest reality render : )
That's beautiful, Toyen. Thank you for sharing it.
Here is my first Reality render. Im also using Daz Studio for the first time too, so Im not that expeienced yet. I know the image could be better, but I can live with it for a first attempt.lol
Ninianne, believe me, a lot of people would be happy to have that as their 10th or 20th attempt :). Thank you for sharing.
Just started with Reality. Got some interesting results, but still trying to get a hang of the the lights. Anyway thought I'd share.
Gorgeous image, Lyam.
Let me know if I can help with the lights.
Cheers
Actually, I do have a question. In the angel picture above, I let it render for about an hour and then after that I started to get some fireflies (tiny overexposed pixels) showing up. So I stopped the render even though I wouldn't have minded letting it go a bit longer to see if I could smooth out some of the grainy shadows in some places. Is it because the mesh light was too strong? How do I know what intensity it should be set? Or was it something else I should be doing?
Thank you.
Hi Lyan.
Without seeing the actual artifacts it's impossible to really know what happened, and I don't ant to make speculations. There is no real issue with the brightness of a light, within realistic limits. Overlighting can happne, if you mix a lot of lights or if you annd a distant light to the mix. But if you use a mesh light then it's not an issue.
Ok thanks. I'll just keep experimenting - part of the fun. And I just figured out how to restart a lux render from a previous session like you guys were discussing. Sweet. That makes life so much easier.
Well i was going to post this question on the Reality forums, but i signed up some 9 hours ago and have yet to get the email wih the activation code.
Paolo, I have a couple of questions.
I am using the lastest Daz studio for windows (8.1), the current Reality 4.3 with lux 1.6
1. seems like this version of reality and the last i have issues with transparency if i don't render a background as well. The past versions my figures never came out see through, but as you can see in the Hayden Headshot image, she is. why? The other image i made a simple black background and she is no longer see through.
2. What is going on with her eyes?? they look as if they have glass bubbles around them. In studio i used the surface select tool and found that area to be the "eye surface", so in reality i went to that in the materials tab and changed it from glass to matte, but no luck. She is a V 4.2 figure from Godin called Hayden. I used her with reality 4.2 and earlier with no problems. Do you know what is going on here?
Thank you,
Decoyboy
I found out that V3Digitimes Gen4 Iray Convertor was the problem. It seems that when I put Hayden's orginal materials back on her, they did not over ride the Iray Convertor settings. And that is what caused the eye problem. As for the transparancy problem, I still have not figured that out.
Is there a solution now for the old problem seen in the screenshot?
I am not able to disable the internal intel graphics adapter in my Alienware 17R4 notebook bios. Now I have a mobile nvidia graphics adapter gtx 1080 and cannot use it. This is very bad. It cannot be the solution, if I pay for a product, that I have to edit textfiles to get the product working with a high end graphics adapter.
Hi Friend, post your question at Reality Daz forum, Paolo or other members can address issue your having.
