havent solved the ik booties thing yet.
thinkin about how to render for a 3 point cut.
3 cameras most like, but where to put em
then establishing shots
close ups
medium shots
long shots
my favorite was lotr ii, when they showed from outside the mountain where Gandolf was falling and battling the Balrog.
they played the voices over it, like echoes from the 1st movie.
this was the insert clouds, it looks snow like.
2nd attemp at a 2nd skin bakini. is difficult to make a straight line across her back >.<
experiments with translucent skydome
even with haze set to 0 percent , still seems hazy to me. Goal is crisp and clear
setting atmosphere to none, ambient to 0.
used a sphere as a skydome and 1 bulb outside the sphere, 1tried with an hdri image and without hdri
bulb outside sphere (enclosing batting cage)
rendered weirdly, only seeing bottom half of sphere
inside sphere, bulb light outside, ambient loght 0, a hdri image set. sphere translucent 100%
without the hdri image, seeing significant banding
Regarding the bikini strap, have you tried Carrara's 3D paint tool? It has a straight line tool so you could draw using that and either use it "as is" or use it as a guide.
i've tried in my early carrara days, textures ended up tilted in weird directions
CarraraKinis sounds catchy? lol
snowmageddon carrara day !!
interesting read on film editing and types of cuts
http://www.peachpit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=2233986&seqNum=4
the rough cut http://www.raindance.org/the-6-stages-of-editing-as-a-film-director/
says music last? i woulda thought music come first, set the pace, the mood. hmph
thinking, the editing the most fun of the whole rendering a movie project
i forgot about the gap in mystic gorge, what do i do?
there is no shortcut in skipping the draft animated render.
ouch
That's what temp tracks are for, to get the pace right. You cut the film to something that sounds about right, and then do the real music after. One reason why trailers all seem to have the same music!
Imagine you get a score written, hire a 40 piece orchestra, choir, studio, spend a week recording your soundtrack, then decide to cut or lengthen your crucial sections . . . "Hey Mr Zimmer, could you just come back and redo this bit? Oh and bring the band . . . ."
Unless people are dancing to music or it is otherwise integral to the scene and its pacing, it is added later.
Considerations are different for an animated film. Animation is expensive (=time consuming if you are doing it yourself) and basically you want to waste as little of it as possible. That is why producing an Animatic is an important step, so that you can plan the edits, the length of each clip, the camera angles, etc. Then you only need to animate and render each scene once and as little as possible is wasted on the edit floor. Inevitably there will be some rework and wastage, but planning well in advance will keep this to a minimum. I talk more about this in my Animation in Carrara videos.
seen a few trailers using the Last of the Mohicans music.
the sony s/w comes with a few royalty free music tracks.
A production logo, vanity card, vanity plate, or vanity logo is a logo used by movie studios and television production companies to brand what they produce and to determine the production company and the distributor of a television show. Production logos are usually seen at the beginning of a theatrical movie or video game (an "opening logo"), or at the end of a television program or TV movie (a "closing logo").

Queen did a fantastic soundtrack for Flash Gordon
sff + rockn band = fantastic
Great job on the Highlander soundtrack too (a shame about the sequels for that one!).
There should be only one!!!
too true!
Duncan MaCleod of the clan MaCleod
Conner MaCleod, same clan different vintage
i made a skype group, but i dont know how to invite anyone
well, i didnt really expect tech support help on the toes, shouldnt feel dissapointed at the response.
hard drive cloner, cloning, 4 terrorbytes
rendering with the atmosphere: distance fog option leaving some smudgie marks on cone primitive
wasnt the distance fog, turned off full indirect light smudgies disappeared
turning off interpolation slows the render down,
seeing what show photons does
cloner done.
distant fog, atmosphere option
show photons, looks psychedelic
collision detection or not, on the camera, camera inside mesh is not what i want to show >.<
wanted to kitbash sacrament set in mystic gorge, didnt imagine it would be so complicated
ffxii atmospherics 1st few seconds
ffx
it isnt the same after playing witcher 3
gaahhhh
i loaded the tin pan alley for carrara, in carrara
wanna render to png, it wont let me change the output file format, is stuck on tiff
why wont it let me change it?
saved it as a new file. dunno if was the sungle 1 thing, but can change img output format.
came across this article about cabin lighting.
basically studies in interior lighting. was thinking stuff like this could help design scene lighting
interior design

found a college by me has cinematography classes.

dunno if i can physically do it tho, it will be torture hobbling to classes on my cane.
rendering 300 frames panning a room, day 2 only up to frame 58.
if i wanna be serious about rendering from 3 camera angles,
going to need 2 more pcs. minimum 8 cores or higher hzes i7.
Scotty, I need more power!
hope you get it sorted out. I vaguely remember a thread on purchasing and hoarding old servers for a render farm. eBay auctions?
class looks fascinating
Sorry to hear you have walking difficulties. I always pictured you as being quite young but maybe that's not the case?
Rather than getting more PCs it might be cheaper to look at Octane, it can be fast for rendering animations. I always try to limit render times when doing animation to less than five mins per frame, but Octane can do good output at less than one minute per frame.
i'se 54, my legs are a challenge.
more doctors to see
not ready to sit down yet stubborness counts for a lot, lol.
beam me up, Scotty, "hello computer"
after adding ram, cloning and installing hdd, feeling more confidant about building modern pc.
ddr4, sata 3 drives. the power supply specs still mysterious,
if i could find a deal on like a Win7 builders oem 3 or 5 pack
it's the activation codes >.<
i'm currently rendering Tango's Stella. Thinkin i could replace some of the jpgs with simple procedurals. dont want to sacrifice the glowy computer panels.
the chair swivels. is awesome.
See I knew you were young!
