This is dForce GothicX Rock for Genesis 8 Male. It came with the Landon Bundle. I think it looks pretty good for a punk/Renaissance fusion style outfit. One thing I like about it, is includes quite a few piercings including a navel piercing.

My new freebie pose set SN It's Complicated pose set will likely be out late tonight or tomorrow, depending on how soon it will be approved. I apologize for being scarce, but I wanted to knock out one before November. It is basically more of the same thing I usually do. If you have to ask, you haven't seen my many other pose sets.
Whoa! You just gave me an art plot bunny for a Consulting Mage render. Or maybe Jake & Tyler, I can see them in a similar complicated situation. Plus, if I use them, it'll give me an excuse -- I mean reason! -- to load up all that girly scifi stuff I bought the other day. :sigh: Gonna have to wait awhile though, Moving Day is this Tuesday and my weekend will be spent on the last of the packing so I shall be computer-less until I'm settled in my new digs. Well, Daz-less anyway since the laptop won't handle it.
I think you'll like it. I did a few interesting poses in it. This will make 12 free pose sets, now. As usual my stuff is free for commercial use.

On the subject of women's clothing that fits men, here is the London Look pants, with suspenders. I think this fits better on the men than on the women! I added the Dforce Motorcycle boots to this.

Have you ever watched the Marvelous Designer tutorials? There are quite a few by Marvelous Designer themselves. I have downloaded MD for the month trial a couple of days ago so I know whether or not I want to buy it when it (if it) goes on a Thanksgiving Black Friday sale again this year.
Based on the tutorials I've seen so far and the included libraries in those videos it's quite worth $240 or what ever it was they charged on sale last year. It also looks quite easier to use for it's intended use than DAZ Studio itself actually. It's quite a well designed program based on video tutorials. I'll have to see once I actually try the steps myself if it's as easy as they make it look.
I did a month of free trial of marvelous designer. I wasnt terribly impressed. It crashed and hung on my machine I’m afraid.
Wow, thanks for the info. I have only a 7 year old laptop with no discrete GPU and I'm pretty sure you have a relatively recent nVidia GPU so you should have had no problems. My only hope is I guess normally that'd be an advantage to have an nVidia video card but back when I could actually afford nVidia video cards they were quite well known for bugs, some of which I personally experienced and so started buying ATI (now AMD) video cards. So I guess I'll try anyway & see. Want to complete using the program with at least 3 clothing tutorials & see if my computer can handle it. $240 still isn't cheap.
Try a month of the trial and see if you like it.i wouldn’t plunk down big money until you decide if it is what you want.
On the subject of women's clothing for men, the dForce Ice Skating Princess skates, look great on the men. And the set comes with the Ice Skating rink.
Oh wow, I didn't know it had an ice skating rink with it. I'll have to buy them now.
My first job out of college was at a office building / mall in downtown Fort Worth that had an ice skating rink. It was a good place to work. Fort Worth had a funny downtown then as it felt like a small town place even though it had getting close to 500,000 people then.
Note that if you have used your free 30 day trial of MD, you can also do a free trial of Clo3D separately. Both programs are quite similar.
Evgeniya Petrova has uploaded some new male outfits on her artstation store recently (I cant link it, so google "Evgeniya Petrova artstation"). There's also some cool marvelous designer outfits on gumroad and sharecg too.
MD recently added GPU enhanced simulation instead of the CPU only simulation they used in old versions. Which makes the basic simulation many times faster. Note: You should always be doing initial simulations at low particle density in Marvelous Designer as simulating complex clothing at high particle density will cause issues even on PC's with good hardware. Change to low particle density for final simulation to get high quality wrinkles etc.
Side note: Polygonal Miniatures also has some interesting outfits on the artstation store. I was wondering how those outfits would work Dforced in Daz Studio or simulated in Marvelous Designer. He claims you can do this, but ive only ever tried simple garments in Marvelous Designer and Dforce.
Wow, thanks for the information. I'ts very useful. I will look at those patterns for sale. I will probably go to WalMart or similar places after I buy MD and buy some real world patterns there just so I learn a little about what tailors actually do.
This Clo3D seems to be a clone of MD even down to the web site look. As it's minimally cheaper I will stick with MD, well provided it goes on sale for about 50% off or more this Thanksgiving.
I've been looking at the clothing designs that have been rendered by a guy here in the forums and at the MD site and they are impressive I think. In fact, looking at the MD patterns for sale in the MD store has made it apparent to me much of the recent clothing for sale in the DAZ Store originates in the MD Store.
I want to try my hand at it although I will be trying completely niche clothing outfits as not seen in the DAZ Store or at Renderosity. I also want to try to make one complete DAZ 3D Store product as a freebie to go through the release and support process and see how that goes. Making a high quality comprehensive clothing product for the DAZ Store would be a lot of work I'm sure, even with MD although MD at least makes it economically feasible timewise I think.

@Serene Night: I'm sure you already have the Gianni 6 Pro Bundle but did you see that the Gianni 6 Starter Bundle was the freebie today?
I was just saying, for people whose trial for MD runs out and they still dont want to purchase it, they can get another free month by basically doing the free trial of Clo3D. The programs are made by the same company and have the same features. I think there are a few differences between them but Im unsure what the exact differences are. Clo3D i think is geared more towards actually producing useable patterns in the fashion industry.
MD also have a competition running at the moment to win a perpetual license. You have to post a review and share it on social media. I attached the details. For what that's worth.
Oh, OK. I was thinking that Clo3D might be possibly reverse engineered. I just noticed that Clo3D has not a perpetual license possibility and so it's costs are definitely out of my league.
I think I will try to get motivated enough to enter that MD contest. It would be a good test of how easy MD is actually ease to learn and use for someone that's never used it before and it finishes the week before they've done their Black Friday sales the past few years.

I just downloaded CLO3D and noticed it does not have the UV editor that Marvelous Designer has. Im not sure how useful that UV editor in MD is. (Maybe people use the UVs from MD to do retexturing? I wouldnt know). But CLO3D doesnt seem to have it.
I just quickly simulated one of Evgeniya Petrova's male trousers on a Genesis 8 avatar using Clo3D. I spent like 5 minutes on this, so it could probably be made to look better. I just used the renderer inside CLO3D because Im on my laptop and dont have Daz open.
I think the detail you can get with Marvelous Designer/Clo3D simulations is a lot higher quality than Dforce in daz. The wrinkles look much nicer.
Yes, those pants your just simulated look good. my impression was the materials they make for their examples are better too as well. I quite like MD from the Tutorials/New Features videos I've watched so far (no actual attempts at using MD by me yet though).
Anyway, at risk of derailing the thread further, there is a UV editor in CLO3D too (it's just under a different menu than it is in Marvelous Designer).
To get Serene's thread back on track, this is very, very hot!
The posing is top notch, as usual, but I also really like the blown out lighting and barely there background.
On the subject of new male characters, here we have CallanHD.
I quite like his look, and the HD in his knees in particular looks great. I used Ceejay hair, which I think looks nice.
