On the subject of Men's wear outfits here is Boyd wearing the https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-kilt-the-highlands which is an expansion for: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-kilt-for-genesis-8-males

I should say I am indeed Scottish on my father's side, and yes, its not entirely accurate, but overall, I think this is a great set- especially for the price.

Boyd is in half Scottish, and at some point, the boys intend to have a honeymoon in  Britain, since, I'm totally an anglophile.

As A Scot I passed that by as it looks more like a skirt than a kilt and the ladies wear sashes not the men. I prefer the kilt in this set.

He looks good Serene Night but laughing skulls on bikini briefs are a bit of a concern. Just joking, come to think of it I associate that sort of art work symbolism with motorcycle gangs riding on choppers. That'd be a laugh to see one of those types in bikini briefs riding around his chopper around here.

There used to be a fellow that would get dressed up in black Speedo swim briefs, a sailor beanie, knee pads, and inline skates that would skate up and down my street all the time when I lived in Zurich. Now that isn't really to weird when you imagine the stereotypical fellow Hollywood would cast to skate around Venice Beach in that get up but when the fellow is 7' and about 300 lbs and it's in  Zurich, Switzerland it's a good laugh! Not out loud though, did I tell you he was 7' and 300 lbs?

Anyway my Marvelous Designer tutorials test of my PC ability to handle MD crashed and burned so I've moved on to the saving for a new desktop I'll piece together over the winter. Maybe next year as I did like what the tutorials showed.

In the meantime I'll use your Thanksgiving poses to make a season appropriate render for the It's Raining Men contest so thanks for those.

Now   that is a kilt.  I shouted out loud when I saw the attempt at a tartan skirt yesterday.

(My paternal Grandmother was a Cameron, some male members of my family still carry the Cameron as a second name)

I must admit I haven't tried it in a while, might get it out and see. I could get it altered perhaps but, as you say...expensive.

That's what i've seen as a tourist and when the Swiss Bagpipe Club (or something like that) marched through the streets of Zurich in a parade one year. Yes, there are bagpipe playing clubs in Switzerland. One of my cousins that goes to a extended family reunion on Grandfather Mountain (I think) in North Carolina  every year wears that type, only is is blue, green, and black as I think the surname belongs to Campbell Clan or O'Neill Clan somehow. I'm not sure which or if indeed those two are part of the same clan themselves.

That color looks good on him.

If the boys vacation in the UK, will they hit very tourist-y spots like Stonehenge and Loch Ness? Do the boys subscribe to alternative theories about how the Henge was built and if Nessie exists or do they both find it funny or do they have differing opinions on subjects like that?

On the subject of new male characters, here we have CallanHD.

I quite like his look, and the HD in his knees in particular looks great. I used Ceejay hair, which I think looks nice.

I amglad you mentioned Callen; it is important for us to support high quality male characters...

My clan is MacNicol. On my fathers side we have trace lineage to the clearances. Unfortunately it didn’t go to well for his ancestors who ended up In London and were sent to America as indentured servants.

YES! Owen wants to see it all, and being a Sergeant he is good at making schedules. They will see it all darn it! But- In deference to Boyd there will be more than a few stays at cute B&B's and trips to Robotics museums, as well as stays at the various Brain guilds throughout Britain, where Owen and Boyd get to stay for free. Boyd is pretty far up the chain of Alphas so he is a a bit of a celebrity. The news that a brain is marrying his prime is also a bit controverisal. They are the first paired partnership.

There also might be the chance encounter with the people similar to Boyd's new body.

< Do the boys subscribe to alternative theories about how the Henge was built and if Nessie exists or do they both find it funny or do they have differing opinions on subjects like that?>

Part of loch ness is in the Forbidden zone, where strange things occur, and there most definitely is more than just fish in the lake. However, the Scots are busy setting things to right now that the main war is over. They don't want tourists eaten, and there could be a few other things the Scots don't want discovered hidden up there.

Stonehenge was destroyed by the aliens, as it was seen as a religious icon. Aliens like to target such things for spiteful reasons or convince their crazed human followers to do it.. But the  British are rebuilding it. It also is possible that there was something they wanted under it. Although no scans have ever revealed what.

The aliens also were looking for something down where doggerland might have been, and have done a bit of terra forming on the coast, so the Archeologists are having a field day with many recent discoveries, that had been previously submerged in the newly excavated land mass. How long that will remain above the waves, is uncertain. There is a heated debate abotu returning to the sea, vs. keeping it available for the displaced people to live, but, doggerland is below sea level, so, requires some maintenance to keep where it is, especially with global warming.

Owen made Boyd watch Wickerman, so I'm sure Boyd is ready for his encounters in the Scottish coastal region.

As far as who is more fanciful. Both boys can be. Boyd's childhood was filled with imagination, as he was too sick to do anything himself, so he used VR equipment, loved comics, and fantasy, and played games.

Owen was raised by grandfather, who although scientific, liked a good story, and imparted a love of reading to Owen. Since they were blue collar, Owen played in the street, and at the junkyard with friends,.  They'd probably debate the scientific merits of stonehenge's construction, and then decide which conspiracy theory they prefered.

I've always loved history and Archaelogy, and so I like to explore that a bit in my writing.

OK, thanks. It must be Campbell then. Ain't got any MacNeils.

Which leads me to remember this great song, although it's Dutch it's too good to not post in the tiny chance you've never heard this song (which you may not of I hadn't heard in since the early 70s until a couple years back).

Serene Night - I'd like to see the fellows visit Scotland too. That's be good for a laugh, Nessie mentoring on them on how to spy without getting caught and all. Nessie seems really good at it.

The Calanais Standing Stones are older than Stonehenge and the Ring of Brodgar is older still smiley

There is also Morag who lives in Loch Morar.

Anyway you have your own loch monsters.

Interesting, I didn’t know there were quite so many lake monsters.  In general Owen and Boyd are trying to unwind and play civilian while in Britain.

I doubt that will work for them, but there are other teams available to investigate mysterious lake creatures.

Be warned. If you own: toon Generation Essentials for G8 Male, it installs 2 morphs that are dialed in as on. This is seriously annoying to me. They don't do anything, but when I uninstalled it, all my files now ask for toon generations.

I am not optimistic that this will be fixed, since I'm still waiting for fixes to bugs in Landon8 products. But I submitted a ticket anyway, because apparently, thats what I do.

If anyone can tell me how to correct this, I'd appreciate it.

SN I've got the Toon Generation Essentials for G8 Male, Toon Generations were one of the few things I got the Pro Bundle for ,and none of those morphs load "On" for me , could it possible been a different character that did it?

If I understood you correctly, you've uninstalled Toon Generations G8M, right? So maybe this will work. Assuming both that you've uninstalled Toon Generations G8M and that you have a Windows 7/10 system:

Go to the directory at /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Male/Morphs/3D Universe/ToonGenerations8/ (Under whatever your top content directory is; My Library or My Daz Library or whatever it may be)

Delete any files that may still be there. It sounds as if maybe those two files got left behind, and since Genesis 8 loads every morph when either G8M or G8F is pulled into the workspace, those two files may basically be saying, "Where's the rest of me?" So to speak. Actually, if you've uninstalled the product, you can delete the ToonGenerations8 directory completely.

A DIM or Smart Content uninstall should actually have emptied or deleted the directory when you uninstalled the product, but clearly, something got left behind. If the directory actually IS either empty or deleted, then the product stuck some of its DSF files outside the ToonGenerations8 directory, in which case, figuring out what to do may be more difficult.

If it doesn't work to delete the ToonGenerations8 directory/files, can you expand the parameters tab width so that the full parameter name can be seen? That may help figure out which files are causing the issue.

Since Toon Generations 8 Male was released over a year ago, and you can't possibly be the first person to run into the always-on issue, I wouldn't be particularly hopeful about the product being fixed, either. (I don't think they've fixed Yvanovich hair that you reported, either, and that's been months as well.)

No, it is that product. They are on in the sense that they load and are visible when I select currently used on base male. However they aren’t dialed in. They were created wrong. They should only show under currently used when I am currently using them....

Thank you, No uninstalling them worked to remove the morphs, it’s just that my saves now ask for toon generations, because it was dialed in at zero by default. I can resave, but it impedes my work flow to open all my recent files and save without toon generations. I can leave it in and not have that issue, but I’m working on poses right now and I don’t want to save garbage data in my files.

Mine does that too & I also find it annoying. Yes, really those sliders are actually the "off" position but "off" should mean also "not currently used" as usual. Also unless I load in a TG8 character from a preset, a lot of the individual TG8 morphs are actually not able to be changed; which I don't mind so much. I'm not sure what kind of ERC does those sort of dial behaviors but it's definitely not the usual behavior we get from products bought in the DAZ 3D Store.
