Looks a bit like the cars from UFO.
I just love the "wing" doors on it, kinda like they used an old Mercedes SL300 for the base. I saw one episode where Solo and Kerlyakas were riding in it in a chase scene. Bullets were bouncing off of it. It made a strange whiring sound for the engine, kinda like a GMC blower does on a dragster. Almost a whistling sound.
Here is an even RARER one. Shown here with Captain Kirk. This was to be the Star Trek car. It was called the "Reactor 2". It was made from a Citron ID 19. For some reason, it did not make it to the show. It did, however, appear one time in a Bewitched episode. That's it, it then went on to be displayed at car shows. It's where abouts now?...who knows!
:-)
Hey...can anyone tell me whose motorcycle this was? Winner gets to ride it!!!!...(JK).
:-)
If I'm not mistaken the Fonz rode this
I agree the Fonz rode it
He also rode a stock version
Bike is a 1949 Triumph Trophy TR5
The man from uncle car looks like the offspring of an Opel GT and a Mercedes Gullwing coupe to me
WOW!...I just love the tilt front on the Fury....awesome!
:-)
You mean on the Savoy?
If I'm not mistaken the Fonz rode this
Fonz rode a Harley Knucklehead - which is what that is, only in series 1.. later episodes had him on the TR5

Okay, now it all makes sense, I didn't pay too much attention to the first season, I could have sworn the Fonze rode a Triumph!
Not 3d but worth a look

Cool!
Super indeed. Keep up the good work. I've been keeping an I on you even though I haven't had anything to post myself.
Bizarrely I am currently modelling a reception desk which which so swoopy and organic that I have had to resort to car modelling techniques in order to get the job done.

The funny thing is that th chop job on the HD does not really fit with the time period for Happy Days, the Triumph was a better period piece.. To many details on the HD that are from the 70's style of chop.. A bobber look would have been more to the point. (and having been a biker in the late 60's, well)...

When the show first aired, we didn't live in an area where we had great TV reception, so I didn't get to watch the first couple of seasons, and those seasons of course would have been the funniest seasons, as about the third season for every sit-com goes into the "valuable lesson" mode, and the comedy takes a back seat!
Not to mention, of course that the HD chop would have been seen as more "anti-social" thane a simple Triumph Scrambler...
I never went the chopper route, but I did have a 1936 ULH that was somewhat bobbe, and a KHK that was a very mild custom... I think I may have to see if I still have the photo negatives and scan them in..
Latest Car render?
How's this? "Bentley, James Bentley"
Oops.. Double post! I blame Chrome... Sorry bout that
Can I request a wee bit of guidance? I've now read this thread from start to the bitter end, and I see a lot about GTA conversions and some darn fine renders using those models..
Can some of the kind folk here please enlighten me on what I would need to ge tstarted, and how (what I assume) are low poly modesl can end up looking so nice and smooth and detailed in DAZ? This is a whole new area for me to explore...
Thanks!
Love the Bently Hacsart...nice render.
Getting started on the GTA cars is very complicated. There are a few stand alone programs you will need. You will need a copy of ZModeler2 to open the file format and convert it to an .obj file. Then you will need a copy of TXDworkshop to convert the texture files to a .jpg format. Some cars you will need to unlock to open them so you will need a copy of RWAnalyzer to do that. You will also need to learn how to delete all the crash files before converting and how to delete files to save .objs seperate for doors to open and hoods and trunks. Then to restore back all the files for the next obj using the undo feature. It takes a while to learn how to use the programs and do these cars. Many of them have been done and are up for downloads on some free sites. There is nothing illegal about doing any of the conversions as the GTA cars are royalty free. As long as you do not sell them, you are good to convert. Any authors who do not want their car converted, have an option to lock it where it can not be unlocked at all. Mast of the GTA IV cars are that way, but there are some that will open. The best cars to convert are San Andreas and Vice City ones. They are superior meshes to most all the free cars in .3ds or .obj format that are offered to the public on so many freebie sites. No compairison.
I hope this gives you an idea of what you will be up against. It took me a long time to learn how to do this. I do not know how Blender does it, but you can convert with it and it is a free program. Betsy knows all about how to use it, that is how he converts his awesome versions. Maybe he will shed some light on it for you here. Good luck friend. Post your progress and we can try to help you along. I can not tell you where to get the stand alone programs as it has been a while since I got them and I have no record of where I got them...lol. Maybe someone else here will have a link, or you can Google the names.

i tried to change the color of a material zone on my latest find in daz and couldn't get it to change could someone please help?
diffuse - right hand side - pick new color to use
Awesome render, my family owned a 70's Torino exaclty like this one, my dad turned it into pro street :)
Pair O Deuces!
Thanks all for the GTA conversion info.. time to either rethink, and/or do some more research.. In the meantime, sticking with what I do have, some more bikes, this time using an older version of the Billy-T bikes.
This one gave me no end of hassles using the Yosemite HDRI sets - would crash at 75% render o matter what., remove the model, and no issues, render using another model, and no issues - either was something with the mesh itself or the shaders - replacing the Uberenviroment with the AoA advanced distant light solved it..
Love the mix and match on the Billiy-T stuff.. Only change was to pull the FL style headlight from a Sketchup model and import that into Daz.. The first pic is close to what my '36 ULH looked like (save for the Knucklehead style motor in the render rather than the big Flathead)..
A fun day at the beach!
Heather's Grocery Getter!
These all look good. I like the third one best, but I like the front forks on the first one best. So mix those two and you got it!...lol.

Love those nomads!
