@Novica thank you for the heads up but unfortunately I did not see it in time. I work 14 hr shifts Sunday through Tuesday night so its erratic how I get on if I am able to at all. That being said I am perfectly happy with the sale price I recieved and am enjoying the product!

@daventaki   Well, I tried :)  You still got a great deal!   And frankly, customer service is so bogged down it wouldn't have been a quick turnaround anyway. Glad you're enjoying it.

So today is the last day of 2019. We're now heading into the 2020's. WOW. I'll be entering into my 70's during these years (will be 70 in 2026 !!!!)  So here's the 92 and 63 year olds in our red holiday outfits. I'm so glad I still have my Mom to pal around with and visit.

But I have to grin- yesterday I was out jogging Stetson around the pastures/fields giving my two nieces and three great-nephews rides on Stetson. Jogged 3.86 miles total, off and on. You can't really ride on a horse unless you get in a good soft trot to make it interesting. Stetson has what's called a "sitting trot" where you don't even come out of the saddle. He really enjoyed the attention.

Mom is enjoying her bird feeder and something really cool happened two days ago- ELEVEN cardinals came to the fig tree out in the big yard! It was gorgeous! And cardinals are the Indiana state bird, where we're from. Mom was really tickled, and the birds stayed there awhile going in and out of the tree, up and down the branches.

So, what are you doing tonight for New Years? I'm staying home, putzing on my contest entry and watching past seasons of television shows like a marathon. (Love CBS All Access.)  And of course, exercising.

Happy New Year to Everyone smiley

  • Happy New Years to the most helpful group on the forum. :)

I did pick up the Riversoft character conversion G3 to G8, M and F. They were both under $5 in the cart - so, it was worth the risk.

So far, with custom character conversions it isn't doing so hot - but as usual we're talking about characters that were V4 that I converted to G2 and G3 and now I'm trying to move them to G8... heh... so I'm not surprised they're not turning out perfect. A little bit of tweaking and they look *approximately* how they looked in past generations.

I haven't done any regular character conversions. I'll give some of those a shot and report back. I also haven't tried bulk conversions.

    Happy New Year!

Well, what will the new year bring? Genesis 9 seems likely, there may be some technical innovation(s) in Studio ...

I know there are a few things coming out that I want, like the Red Crow Inn. There are bound to be some 'must have - straight into my cart' surprises. I don't plan on jumping on the G9 bandwagon, except perhaps V9/M9 and morphs. Other than that, I'd like to continue last year's more controlled spending (I spent about 30% less in 2019 than I did in 2018, and I don't feel as if I missed out on anything tbh), and to continue improving my Blender and Marvelous Designer skills. Render more, buy less.

Oh, and a question: has anyone managed to use the (gorgeous) Storyteller outfit without the thing exploding in dforce?

    Happy twenty twenty everyone :)

I hope you'll have many more holiday pictures with your mom, Novica :)

@Nath I've used that one in this render - https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/845176/  - without any problem, haven't played much with it lately though. It's a lovely outfit, so I hope you will be able to sort it out to work for you!

    Nice render!

Hmmm. I'll start with a reinstall of the outfit then - in case that's where the problem is...
