I went with Roy and Sky Traffic (just waaaay too cool!) and got the Urban Future 6. I don't bother with "Runetime DNA" items as I have all I want. (Isn't that RUNTIME?) Spelling on the promo page is ummm, interesting.

That's DAZ spelling kinda like DAZ math

Hoo boy. I was not expecting to blow through as much of that $300 credit as I did, and I nearly ran over. I ended up with 5 new G8 pro bundles, including Dain, and multiple Stonemason sets, and a whole mess of miscellanea. My DIM now has 97 new items for 14.3GB. Now I just need to be at least mostly done spending for the rest of the month.

:)  Amazing isn't, @Gordig  how quickly that big ole StoreCredit pile can shrivel up.   That Daz "salemania" grabs hold ...  it's hard to resist the siren call of buying heavily discounted products using discounted money!   I increased my DIM product count by like 200 products in about a month & a half because I was buying those heavily discounted gift cards.  ;)

Have you tried Roy yet? I was considering him, but I thought his skin looked a little odd in some of the promos (example attached) - do you see this "in the flesh"?

Looks like a different bump/displacement setting for face and the body.

Both thumbs up to @CGI3DM, maker of Shape Splitter (fka X-Morphs). When I asked for advice on creating a corrective eye morph for my G8 to G3 back converted characters, CGI3DM gave some excellent advice with screencaptures and a downloadable dformer for G3F's eyes, which I installed under \Scripts\X-Tools\Presets-DForm. Below is the post I made in the other thread about my results.

At left, we have Ellithia backconverted to G3F, with very fine tolerances that normally fix most eye problems. Note the demonic-looking elongated irises and goats-eye pupils.

At center, we have Ellithia with an eye morph created in X-Morphs/Shape Splitter using the dformer supplied above. The eyemorph has been dialed to -120%. Irises and pupils are a pretty normal shape, but point outwards.

At right, we have the final fixed version: I have selected the left eyeball and set the Side-Side dial to 10, and then selected the right eyeball and set the Side-Side dial to -10.

It's supposed to be razor bump burn but it's way too strong and too large too. You also can see a clear deliniation between the texture materials between the head and torso maps right where those razor burn meet the skin under chin jaw.

I might buy him & Marila anyway, they are still nice and I can pick one free Stone Mason and 2 RuntimeDNA products for doing so. I think I will go for Urban Sprawl #3.

After more than five years of buying assets at Daz, I have learned to treat Store Credit as if it were real money in my wallet, regardless of the discounts I may have used to buy that credit. I no longer buy assets with that credit that I wouldn't purchase if the money were coming out of my bank account. It helps. Not a whole lot, but it does help.

Congrats, though, on all that new content!

No, my DIM is full of packages I made from using Content Package Assist and I am working through those before any current things I've bought. (Hence the other store products, coupled with things already installed from here.)  I may just use his morphs and someone else's skin, it was worth it to get the free Stonemason set. (Rather sad isn't it, when the new norm for some of these past few releases has been "well, I got it because I got THAT..."

@MelanieL I have Roy, and I did a close-up of his head and neck, and until it had converged, I couldn't see what you had pointed out. But looking at what is on the Surfaces tab, and shifting back and forth between the head and back of head/neck I didn't see any movement of dials. But I am not familiar on what to look for. But I am attaching the render, which by the time it hit 69% it was clear under the chin the skin differences. I have to leave soon, but I hope this is helpful.

I actually meant the rather obvious line between that bumpy-looking area on the neck and the much smoother skin immediately under the chin/jawline.

Since July 2019, I've spent less than 100.00 on content. With almost 5000 installed items from DAZ, and taking away 20% for free items, bundles and other discounts. That's still a heck of a lot of money spent on content in the 3 years I've been using DAZ Studio. :-)

Stetson photobombed someone yesterday at the Pony Party birthday. A local celebrity musician was performing, and Stetson posed and stayed that way for about TEN MINUTES listening to the music. He totally stole the show as everyone was giggling because he seemed so entranced. The barn owner told me the five year olds were whispering, "Look at the horse! Look at the horse!"  Wish I could have seen it, I brushed him (thank goodness!) as I told you previously, braided his front hair, then went home before the party started.  (I brushed him because all the kids pet him, as he's in the pasture by the arena/ where they have the party on the picnic tables. And yes, he's in quite a few pictures usually. But none like this!)

    Even the musician started laughing!

I think the singer has a great background character for an album cover!

Headed out the door and literally have a minute (Dog getting ear stitches out, appt at 1pm)   I did the Build Your Own Bundle (that glaring orange yellow scrolling banner) and got four things, then was able to get 60% off the items in the section below, got four of them so I used the Flash Sale code for PC+ members to get an additional 60% off them. Here's the savings- with just original 60% it was $69.89 and 59% off, afterwards it was 47.37 so I saved $22.52

That is the same as getting about two of the new releases free.

    Gotta go!

Oh man, I'm so tempted to do that and just load up on Protozoon's musical instruments.

@Novica and especially anyone who hasn't used the Flash Sale code yet: I included one PC+ new release in my cart to get the best discounts on the items, and then applied the code. The cart ignored the new release and applied 60% to the four, for a final total discount of 84% and none of those were DOs, so no member discounts included.

RiversoftArt has a Content Wizard coming out.  It will do what we have been doing with Content Package Assist, but will also generate Smart Content.  (Haven't tested or anything, just saw post with info.)

I posted that at 12:48pm headed out the door to get Geico's stitches out. Wish I had never left.
Less than two minutes later, I killed my cat, Tux, who was the other stray calling this home. Not Shadow, the one I've told you about for four years. (Totally black.)  This was the black and white, large fluggy one. Tux has been here two years.

I ran Tux over with my truck, he didn't get out from under it when I started the truck, and I didn't know he was there until it had happened. I think he saw Geico coming down the sidewalk and thought it was safer to stay put, from his viewpoint he didn't know Geico was put in the truck. And if he had ever been under the truck when I got the car out of the garage, he'd learned that the running engine would go past him and he was safer staying put.  I believe the combination of those two things made his decision to stay, even though the engine turned on, the logical one for him.

I won't go into any details other than to say he did stagger to the neighbor's yard, I got him to the vet immediately, we helped him get to Rainbow Bridge. The vet came in from her lunch hour and was there about nine minutes later, they gave him oxygen and did what they could.

This cat hadn't been under my truck since last summer, it wasn't where he hung out. When he did, it was the middle of the truck. I did not see him at all but was preoccupied with Geico. PLEASE always glance under your car or truck if you park it outside, no animal deserves the excruciating injuries this cat suffered.  If even one animal's life can be saved by Tux's death, it would make this senseless accident have an impact.

Please do NOT comment.  I appreciate the support but I've never killed one of my pets before, or ever hit an animal with a vehicle, much less run over one in my driveway. No PMs either please. I am off the forums for the rest of the evening.  I posted at 12:58pm and this happened two minutes later.

McKenna HD G8F                dForce Dinner Date G8F                Unique Fabrics                French Twist Ponytail G3F/G8F

I am having so much fun with ARTCollab's Unique Fabrics shaders, I wanted to showcase them here. There are 25 patterns, all hand drawn by the PA, in multiple colors, along with presets that let you modify the patterns to come up with some really special fabrics. She's already working on the next set, and has another set planned for patterns that will work well with men's clothing. Here I've combined a subtle pattern base with a totally different pattern for the "print" and metallic highlights, coloring the base fabric in shades of blue. The black overskirt uses the second pattern for both the metallic highlights and the transparency. I also used shaders on the shoes to give them the look of velvet, and then applied the second pattern for metallic highlights, tyng all the pieces of the set together. If you'd like to see what others are doing with these Fabrics, be sure to check out the commercial thread here. Or check out my post in that thread to see exactly what presets I used to create the fabrics for this review.

Of course, I chose the dForce Dinner Date outfit to use with the shaders. I'm not a big fan of clothing with cutouts to make them look sexy, but this one actually looked like a dress you might find in an upscale store with formal and semi-formal gowns. This dress actually loads as three objects: blouse, skirt and overskirt. My one beef with the outfit is the blouse does not dForce. You can see in both images below, it sits above her skin, not on it as real fabric would do. I tried applying dForce anyway, to allow the fabric to settle to her shoulders, but even using weight maps to control the influence, it made the edges at the top look weird.

I am a big fan of Mousso's characters, but I have recently come to really appreciate the characters from Colm Jackson, as well. For me the appeal is these characters are less than perfect, with characteristics you'd never see in a "super model". It's a refreshing change. So I chose one of his characters, McKenna, for this review. McKenna comes with a no-makeup option and an eyeliner only option, both of which do not use blush. The remaining makeup options all have the same blush applied. None of the face materials have painted on brows. If you don't want to use the mesh brows that come with her, you'll have to add brows another way. I used the figure as she was loaded, with one makeup option and one lip color. She includes an LIE option for freckles, but I chose not to use that with her makeup. I also gave her blue eyes, one of 10 eye color options.

The hair I chose is not dForce, either dForce Cloth or dForce Hair, but includes a lot of adjustment and movement morphs. Like many of the more recent hair assets, it looks very realistic if you don't get too close. Even close, it holds up well, though you might want to increase the subD. I did not, and you can see some slight angularity in the strands. I used a back rim light that is highlighting the back top of her hair. Without it, the hair might look a little less blocky on the her right side.

If you like that, you should try some of iSourceTextures' characters.

I just finished this piece this afternoon using some new DAZ Bi-Weekly freebies from the Lion War Bundle. First we have Teen Josie 6 as a young mage dressed in Phoenix for Genesis 2 Females with the shoes from the Afternoon Heat outfit and panties from the Rocker Outfit for Genesis 3 Females and Genesis 8 Females. Next to her is Gia 6 as a mighty warrior dressed in the Caped Heroine outfit for Genesis 2 Females with the boots from the Shadow Thief Outfit for Genesis 8 Female, and armed with the Tyrolean Great Sword from the Lion War Pack.

Take a look at this post and visit the images, they are really, really wonderful. Xmasrose captured the emotions so perfectly!  They really need more likes and comments. (Featured in the gallery thread here in Art Studio, so if you've visited that, you've seen these.)  Also Daventaki did this one
