Not a review, just something I've been working on all night between naps.

OK. It was bugging me that there didn't seem to be a really good plane water material in DS. I was missing the way that water planes in Bryce look. I know, I could export a figure from DS into Bryce and then tweak the heck out of the materials, but I couldn't see why it couldn't be done in DS.
DS won't do infinite planes, but by getting the right reflection, bump map and settings, refraction, etc. I thought it should be possible to get a very large plane to work along with one of Predatron's Essential Lights and Skies to simulate the water effect you get in Bryce.
So after hours of tweaking, and using AoA's Fog Camera set to a very distant haze (1500 meters) to mask the far edge of the plane, I think I came pretty close.
So now I have a calm blue ocean for a set in my DS Runtime. No post-work except for the signature. :)

    What do you think?

Novica, so far what I have used GenX for was simple, following the video on youtube, for transferring a single character. what I am trying now is to transfer separate controllers for one character, IE: one character has 3 elf ear morphs and I want a separate controller for each morph, so its trial and error until I figure out which settings do what I want. Definitely looking forward to the new version for G2.

Nice to see the aging morphs in action, they look good altho I didn't purchase yet as I haven't even used the V4/M4 ones.

ALso the shapes for G2, I did get them altho haven't installed yet, they were a debatable purchase but convinced myself I needed them now! lol

Karibou, thank you for the heads up on the LAMH player, I will check to make sure I have the right version before installing, I don't deal well with crashes :)

I have both these outfits. Space Age Behemoth is gender neutral, in fact, because of the jodhpur style pants they better on ladies. The only thing I don't like is the fact you can't hide the big cog on the chest. Otherwise its a great bodysuit.

It Is no surprise that I have Colonel Chaos as well. Its a good outfit, and something that reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger

I have a few renders of these. I dredged from my old render file

    1. Behemoth on a man
    2. Colonel Chaos
    3. Behemoth on a woman. (ignore the tentacles please, I've since made improvements)

I was hoping you might have these... Very cool to see some renders of them. Behemoth looks even better than I expected, I understand why it was marketed for the big guy but -- as I suspected and you have now confirmed -- it's a very nice outfit for all.

Behemoth has another thing I like- it is short-sleeved. So many bodysuits cover the arms, and the reality is, that I still think Genesis figures and their skins look better than most clothing currently being made. So not covering the arms, allows the muscles and skin to show.

The boots which I did not show are really useful. They are low with wide tops so you can use them with other things with less clipping. They also have an adjustment morph.

I can't say rubberized outfits really please me- they look uncomfortable, but this is a staple and useful outfit I've used several times now. Kind of wish there was an expansion with some different looks and mat zones.

http://www.daz3d.com/ancient-prophecies is my top pick. So gorgeous- the room is very long, and along the side are steps so you can pose figures at different levels, super detailed. The props are available too.

I think mine may be Provence ... really quite stunning with a wealth of lovely nooks and crannies, and then the medieval docks!!! ;)

Puppy Playtime Props ( DAZ3D, ARTCollaborations)
    http://www.daz3d.com/puppy-playtime-props

Puppy Poses ( DAZ 3D, Digiport)
    http://www.daz3d.com/puppy-poses

The High Drama poses have a lot of poses you can use for routine "not drama" things, such as calling a doggie :) I made him kneel but the hands are from those poses. It's called "Taunting." I did not close the fingers around the bone so you could see the exact position out of the box. It's a great pose to hold things, curling the fingers is easy.

And Expressive For Genesis is my "go to" for simple smiles, it saves a lot of time. Have it on speed dial!

When you have a hunk with good abs, the Trail Blazer Outfit shows them off wonderfully. I was going to post a beautiful woman because I KNOW SereneNight prefers to see renders of those instead of men....(wicked cackle) but since this is for her, I'm doing dudes. Be sure and open up the body parts in Scene as you can bend the cape from the collar bone, etc. You'll have a cape 1-4 to bend it also. A very easy cape to work with!

The Genesis Ranger boots go quite well with the Trail Blazer Outfit- Note that as the boots are high heeled for women. It will save you some time. They fit wonderfully onto the leg and over the pants.

If you haven't bought the Perseus Hair based on the promos (a bit washed out, due to them being blonde) take a look at it on Jaime.

The Millennium Puppy has 17 breeds and has 12 poses. The LE edition is available for much less. Get the bundle if you want the puppy, the poses, and the props. Be sure and check out all the different types of breeds. So adorable!

The Dwelling definitely is not for closeups- that door leaves a LOT to be desired, etc. The handle sticking out of the "door" looks so out of place because the handle looks so much more realistic. It's not in the scene. So far, not impressed at all with closeups, and not spending anymore time on it. Will explore Jaime but not in this set.

EDIT: You can also see the floating tree branches/leaves. That came that way, it wasn't something I added.

New promo- spend $10 get $3 off. DREAMS-3. Go to New Releases, it's in the rotating banner. That's why I put things in my cart and leave them there for a few hours (if I'm home to monitor it.) Doesn't say it's a one time thing but go see restrictions.

It's working on New Releases right now (and didn't say it excluded them, but they may change that.) I just got the aging bundle for $13.77 instead of $16.77

Doesn't say one time use, will test it after I check out. The aging bundle puts you over $10 by itself.

That was hard to do. No actual handcuffs I could find that didn't look like something from the inquisition or an episode of cops. I ended up using a prop from rendo, and hanging some chains behind.

I like Jaime! Such a useful character, and great hair! The render is aww... Love little doggies. Agree about the house. I'll skip... =-)

Man just ended up buying a set full price last night and could've used the coupon.

Why does that always happen? HEH

In store messaging states that the 60% off genesis sale ends at midnight tonight, as does the fast grab on key genesis figures. The message doesn't seem to realise that someone changed the sale from 60% while buying qualifying items to a straight 60% off.

I am always looking for police items, and my eye was caught by the really cool police vehicle in Maximum Destruction which is an expansion for Maximum Madness. I can’t really begin to describe just how awesome this vehicle is.

There are four texture options. Two police, one shiny, one Zombie hunter, 2 black versions, one with a luggage rack. The vehicle has 12 armor props, 11 police props (both zombie and regular), and lots of movable parts as well as nomad props I haven't even touched yet.

It looks great in a sci-fi setting or in a futuristic setting, and renders quickly and easily.

To light up the lightbar on the top of the vehicle you can increase the ambient and add some point lights to increase the glow. Postwork to enhance the lightbar, I would suggest creating a layer, and then using a circular brush like those which come with the solar flare set at low transparency on a round soft glow brush in red and blue to enhance the effect of a lightbar glow.

This is an awesome vehicle and I’m looking forward to playing around with it some more!

    Image 2: Zombie Mayhem

TIP: To yaw the camera and add some dynamic action to your scene create a new camera, and click control, right mouse button, camera orbit, and you can change the angle of the camera.
