On a sad note....Tommy Ramone, co-founder and last remaining original member of the Ramones has died at the age of 65. Tommy played drums for the Ramones throughout the 70s until their breakup in 1978 due to a death in the band. The ramones were a hardcore punk band that set a trend in the punk music world. He gave up his punk movement and went on the play bluegrass mandolin...the opposite end of the spectrum. He will be missed by all. R.I.P. Tommy.

Pogue Mahone
This is very rough impression of the incomparable Shane MacGowan of the Pogues, who was kicked out of his band for his outrageous drunkenness. They are happily back together and touring again. Shane was drinking water in a recent interview I saw. Strange. Anyway, I love the Pogues. I couldn't do justice to his very animated face and wasn't even going to try the teeth. :lol:
I did the censorship pixelation in Photoshop and I hope this passes the TOS and doesn't offend too many people (like real punks did/do.) :coolsmirk:

Interesting the way they integrated Irish traditional music into punk. The Scottish band Big Country did as much, making guitars sound like bagpipes. Big Country had the misfortune to arrive in the US about the same time as U2, another great Irish band. I liked Big Country for their unique sound. Doing anything to evoke the sound of bagpipes was probably not well liked in the US, tho...
